KOLIS-NET의 시스템 평가에 관한 연구 (A Case Study on System Evaluation of the KOLIS-NET)

  • 이 연구는 현재 운영되고 있는 KOLIS-NET의 두 가지 핵심 시스템인 KOLIS-NET 클라이언트 통합형 시스템 과 KOLIS-NET 일반이용자 검색용 시스템 의 품질 수준을 유용성과 사용성의 평가기준을 적용하여 평가하고 개선과제를 제시한 것이다. 'KOLIS-NET 클라이언트 통합형' 시스템의 경우 업무 프로세스별 시스템의 유용성 평가로서, 검색성과 사용용이성, 사용자 지원성을 주된 평가항목으로 설정하였으며, 각각의 평가 항목에 대해 연구팀과 실제 업무를 하고 있는 사서들 간의 브레인스토밍 기법과 심층면담 기법을 통해 평가결과를 도출하였다. 한편 '일반이용자 검색용 시스템' 에 대한 평가는 시스템 사용의 편이성 관점에서 진행되었으며, 다양한 사용성 평가 방법 중에서 인지평가 방법을 사용하였다. 마지막으로 도출된 문제점과 개선 과제를 화면 재설계, 용어 표준화, 기능 개선, 신규 기능의 네 가지로 범주화하여 제시하였다.

키패드와 터치패드 휴대전화 자판의 사용성 평가 (User experience testing of mobile phone keypad and touchpad)

  • The present paper focuses on the comparison of user experience of mobile phone keypad and touchpad. Mobile phone has recently adopted a touchpad keyboard style and it gives users advantages and disadvantages as well. This paper examined usability, usefulness, affect and attitude of those two keyboard styles and disclosed interesting outcomes. First, keypad is better than touchpad in usefulness and usability. Second, touchpad is better than keypad in affect. Finally, touchpad is better than keypad in attitude. Overall, although touchapd is evaluated as worse keyboard in usability and usefulness, test subjects favored touchpad keyboard because it is more emotional and affective. It implies new digital device including mobile phone has to get more affective appeal to the young users and emotion will be a key point in digital consumption.

An Alternative Evaluation of the Item-based Collaborative Filtering Using Simulated Online Shopping

  • This paper presents a novel method for evaluating the usefulness of online product recommendation. Previous studies on evaluating recommendation systems have mostly relied on two methods : testing the accuracy of estimating user preferences by recommendation systems, or empirically testing the effectiveness with lab experiments involving human participants. The former does not measure the usefulness directly and hence can be misleading; the latter is expensive in that it requires a working online store System and test participants. In order to address the problems, the proposed approach uses simulation to imitate customer behavior and evaluate the usefulness of recommendation. Models for user behavior and an abstract Internet store are developed for simulation. Actual simulation experiments are performed to illustrate the use of the approach.

Impact of Review Characteristics on Female Consumer Perceptions of Review Usefulness and Patronage Intent of Online Stores Hosting the Reviews

  • Applying the S-O-R Model within an online context, a hypothesized model incorporates three review characteristics (perceived concreteness, exaggeration, and sufficient quantity of reviews) for apparel products in order to present their impact on consumer perceptions of review usefulness and consumer attitude toward and patronage intent for the online stores hosting the reviews. An online survey of Korean women (N=299) reported their experiences in purchasing apparel products online and reading apparel reviews on a regular basis. Testing of the hypothesized model showed the usefulness of reviews were determined by two review characteristics (S: perceived concreteness and sufficient quantity of reviews); however, the negative effect of exaggerated reviews were insignificant. In addition, the perceived usefulness of reviews (O-cognitive) hosted by an online store influenced online store attitude (O-affective) which subsequently led to online store patronage intent (R). This study systemically advances online retail literature by showing how the characteristics of online reviews (as a part of the online store environment) can influence attitude toward online stores and patronage intent for online stores. Long term relationships with consumers can be achieved through the building of mechanisms to enhance the perceived usefulness of reviews by employing the strategies of hosting concrete reviews and offering a sufficient quantity of reviews. This study addresses removes research gaps by testing an adapted the S-O-R Model that frames review information as an element of an online store environment using a large sample.

An Empirical Study on the Influence of Hypersensitiveness in Accident Reports and Usefulness on Receptiveness of Atomic Power Generation

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the influence of hypersensitiveness in accident reports and usefulness on admission of atomic power generation. By the result of study we can look forward to understanding obstacles and promotion factors in constructing atomic power plants. The results of hypothesis testing can be summarized as follows: First, the hypothesis that hypersensitiveness in accident reports has a plus effect on reliability is accepted. Secondly, the hypothesis that hypersensitiveness in accident reports has a plus effect on anxiety is accepted. Thirdly, the hypothesis that reliability has a plus effect on anxiety is accepted. Fourthly, the hypothesis that reliability has a minus effect on receptiveness is accepted. Fifthly, the hypothesis that anxiety has a minus effect on receptiveness is accepted. Sixthly, the hypothesis that usefulness has a minus effect on necessity is accepted. Seventhly, the hypothesis that usefulness has a plus effect on receptiveness is rejected. Eighthly, the hypothesis that necessity has a minus effect on receptiveness is accepted.

  • 전류 테스팅은 기존의 전압 테스트 방식에 비해서 높은 고장 검출과 진단 능력을 가진 효과적인 테스트 방식이다. 그러나 상대적으로 느린 전류 테스팅을 위해서 항상 같은 값을 가지는 노드를 찾아내어 제거하는 효율적인 검출 기법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 전류 테스팅을 위한 다양한 고장모델에 적용 가능한 객체기반의 고장 검출 기법을 제안한다. ISCAS 벤치마크 회로의 실험결과을 통해서 제안된 방식이 고려되는 고장의 수를 효과적으로 감소시킬 수 있고 다양한 전류 테스팅 고장모델에 적용 가능함을 확인하였다.

An Application of a Magnetic Camera for an NDT System for Aging Aircraft

  • The usefulness of the magnetic camera for non-destructive testing of aging aircraft is discussed in this paper. The magnetic camera can be used f magnetic particle testing(MT), magnetic flux leakage testing(MFLT), eddy current testing(ECT) and penetration testing(PT). It measures the distribution of a magnetic field and visualizes the magnetic pattern. Near and far side cracks, fatigue, thickness degradation, and cracks under rivets have been detected. The possibility of quantitative evaluation was also examined. Using indirect experiments, we verified the detection ability of the sensor for cracks in titanium and advanced composite materials.

Bayesian Testing for the Equality of Two Inverse Gaussian Populations with the Fractional Bayes Factor

  • We propose the Bayesian testing for the equality of two independent Inverse Gaussian population means using the fractional Bayesian factors suggested by O' Hagan(1995). As prior distribution for the parameters, we assumed the noninformative priors. In order to investigate the usefulness of the proposed Bayesian testing procedures, the behaviors of the proposed results are examined via real data analysis.

인터넷 서점의 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (The Factors Affecting on Intentions to Use Online Bookstores)

  • As students can purchase textbooks online or from local bookstores, we proposed a model to study the predictors of textbook purchasing from online bookstores based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA) and technology acceptance model (TAM). The survey instrument consisted of 51 items to assess 10 constructs of the proposed model, where the items used to measure the constructs were adapted from previous literature. Pre-testing and pilot testing of the measures were conducted by selected users of online bookstores. Data were collected from 220 university students who have purchased and intend to purchase their textbooks from online bookstores. The findings of this research are summarized as follows. First, navigation, previous experience, and innovation have a significant impact on the buyer's perception of ease of use. Second, price and delivery services have a significant impact on the buyer's perception of usefulness. Third, the perception of ease of use also has a significant impact on the buyer's perception of usefulness. Fourth, the perception of ease of use, perception of usefulness, and subjective norms all significantly support the purchasing intention in the case of online bookstores.

IoT 애플리케이션의 효율적인 테스팅을 위한 개발자 지원 도구 (A Developer Support Tool for Efficient Testing of IoT Applications)

  • 본 논문에서는 IoT 서비스 개발 과정에서 효율적인 IoT 애플리케이션 테스팅이 가능하도록 지원하는 도구인 TITAN(Tool for IoT ApplicatioN testing)을 제안한다. TITAN은 IoT 서비스 개발자가 개발 중인 애플리케이션 로직을 테스팅 하는 데 필요한 물리적 환경 및 사용자 행동에 제약받지 않고, 개발 환경에서 애플리케이션 실행 및 확인이 가능하도록 고안되었다. 개발자는 TITAN을 이용하여 개발 과정에서 반복적인 테스팅에 소모되는 시간과 노력을 줄일 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 TITAN의 시스템 아키텍처와 현재까지 구현된 프로토타입을 제시한다. 또한 소규모 유저 스터디를 통해 TITAN의 유용성과 사용성을 평가한다. 유저 스터디 참가자들은 TITAN의 유용성에 대해 긍정적으로 생각하였다. 마지막으로 현재 연구의 한계와 향후 연구 방향에 대해서 논의한다.
