  • In this article we study the relation between subinvariant submean and normal structure in a locally convex topological vector space. This extends in a natural way a result obtained recently by Lau and Takahashi. Our approach also follows closely theirs.

  • Feature-based similarity retrieval become an important research issue in image database systems. The features of image data are useful to discrimination of images. In this paper, we propose the highspeed k-Nearest Neighbor search algorithm based on Self-Organizing Maps. Self-Organizing Maps (SOM) provides a mapping from high dimensional feature vectors onto a two-dimensional space. The mapping preserves the topology of the feature vectors. The map is called topological feature map. A topological feature map preserves the mutual relations (similarity) in feature spaces of input data. and clusters mutually similar feature vectors in a neighboring nodes. Each node of the topological feature map holds a node vector and similar images that is closest to each node vector. In topological feature map, there are empty nodes in which no image is classified. We experiment on the performance of our algorithm using color feature vectors extracted from images. Promising results have been obtained in experiments.

  • Recently, Kazmi and Khan [7] introduced a kind of equilibrium problem called generalized system (GS) with a single-valued bi-operator F. In this note, we aim at an extension of (GS) due to Kazmi and Khan [7] into a multi-valued circumstance. We consider a fairly general problem called the multi-valued quasi-generalized system (in short, MQGS). Based on the existence of 1-person game by Ding, Kim and Tan [5], we give a generalization of (GS) in the name of (MQGS) within the framework of Hausdorff topological vector spaces. As an application, we derive an existence result of the generalized vector quasi-variational inequality problem. This result leads to a multi-valued vector quasi-variational inequality extension of the strong vector variational inequality (SVVI) due to Fang and Huang [6] in a general Hausdorff topological vector space.

  • In this paper, we use two mappings satisfying certain expansive conditions to construct convergent sequences in complex valued metric spaces, and then we prove that the limits of the convergent sequences are the points of coincidence or common fixed points for the two mappings. The main theorems in this paper are the generalizations and improvements of the corresponding results in real metric spaces, cone metric spaces and topological vector space-valued cone metric spaces.

  • In this paper, we prove some existence results of solutions for a new class of generalized bi-quasi-variational-like inequalities (GBQVLI) for (${\eta}-h$)-quasi-pseudo-monotone type I and strongly (${\eta}-h$)-quasi-pseudo-monotone type I operators defined on non-compact sets in locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces. To obtain our results on GBQVLI for (${\eta}-h$)-quasi-pseudo-monotone type I and strongly (${\eta}-h$)-quasi-pseudo-monotone type I operators, we use Chowdhury and Tan's generalized version of Ky Fan's minimax inequality as the main tool.

  • In this paper, we consider and study a new class of generalized vector quasi-variational type inequalities and obtain some existence theorems for both under compact and noncompact assumptions in topological vector spaces without using monotonicity. For the noncompact case, we use the concept of escaping sequences.

  • We obtain generalized versions of the Fan-Browder fixed point theorem for G-convex spaces. We define the class B of better admissible multimaps on G-convex spaces and show that any closed compact map in b fro ma locally G-convex uniform space into itself has a fixed point.

  • Using a matrix method, pp. Antosik and C. Swartz have obtained a series of nice properties of bounded multiplier convergent (BMC) series on metric linear spaces ([1],[8],[9]). In this paper, we establish a basic property of BMC series on topological vector spaces which is a generalization of a result due to J. Batt([2], Th.2). From this, we have obtained a kind of inclusion theorem of operator spaces. This theorem yields a nice result on infinite systems of linear equations.

  • Since Knaster, Kuratowski, and Mazurkiewicz established their KKM theorem in 1929, it was first applied to topological vector spaces mainly by Fan and Granas. Later it was extended to convex spaces by Lassonde and to extensions of c-spaces by Horvath. In 1992, such study was called the KKM theory by ourselves. Then the theory was extended to generalized convex spaces or G-convex spaces. Motivated by such spaces, there have appeared several particular types of artificial spaces. In 2006 we introduced abstract convex spaces which contain all existing spaces appeared in the KKM theory. Later in 2014-2020, Khahn and Quan introduced "topologically based existence theorems" and the so-called KKM structure. In the present paper, we show that their structure is a particular type of already known KKM spaces.

  • Applications of the classical Knaster-Kuratowski-Mazurkiewicz theorem [KKM] and the fixed point theory of multifunctions defined on convex subsets of topological vector spaces have been greatly improved by adopting the concept of convex spaces due to Lassonde[L]. Recently, this concept has been extended to pseudo-convex spaces, contractible spaces, or spaces having certain families of contractible subsets by Horvath[H1-4]. In the present paper we give a far-reaching generalization of the best approximation theorem of Ky Fan[F1, 2] to pseudo-metric spaces and improved versions of the well-known fixed point theorems due to Brouwer [B] and Schauder [S] for spaces having certain families of contractible subsets. Our basic tool is a generalized Fan-Browder type fixed point theorem in our previous works [P3, 4].
