For this purpose, thirteen mothers of multi-child families have been interviewed in depth. Key findings of the study are as follows. First, the significance of children in many-child families varied. The fundamental features were: symbol of strong ties between God and humans, proud existence displayable to others about their level of happiness, and a means of defining their identity. Second, the typical motives of the majority of interviewees to have many children were "unplanned" but "natural accommodation and adaptation." Third, striking aspects, in terms of many-child families' investment in human capital were to consider many-child families to be a community in itself as a great environment of teaming and to have to deal with issues of limits and impartiality when allocating resources of a limited income and parents' time. Fourth, expectations of parents for their children were "normal growth" and mediocrity, and they cited intangible human assets as the greatest gift to their children. This study will hopefully offer a new analytical perspective to the growing concerns of low birth rates and excessive zeal of parents for their children's education, and thereby lay the groundwork of methodological approaches for resolving such social problems.

Results: There was a significant difference between the 6-week and 6-month success groups for smoking cessation in demographic characteristics (gender, age, job, social security), health promotion (BMI, alcohol dependency, BP), smoking (first smoking age, smoking duration, expiration CO concentration, nicotine dependency), and smoking cessation (attempt to quit smoking, reason for smoking cessation, information source for registration). Conclusion: The group of short-term smoking cessation success was younger than the other. Also, short-term success group was of lower socioeconomic class than the other. The 6-month success group had a larger number of attempts to quit smoking. Therefore, smoking cessation policy should be focused more on younger people and those in lower socioeconomic status. • This paper finds that Korean zero-leverage firms are not homogeneous. By conducting both univariate and multivariate logit regression analysis, this paper finds that Korean zero-leverage firms have zero leverage as either a consequence of financial constraints or because of a strategic decision to mitigate under-investment incentives and preserve financial flexibility. There are two distinct groups of unlevered firms with different levels of constraints as measured by their dividend policy, namely dividend payers and non-payers. Importantly, this paper finds new evidence that these two groups have different motives for selecting a zero leverage policy. Firms in the first group (non-payers) have zero leverage, mainly due to financial constraints. They rely heavily on their internal funds and consequently invest in fewer growth opportunities than their levered counterparts. Firms in the second group (payers) deliberately avoid debts and preserve financial flexibility to mitigate investment distortions, as predicted by the under-investment and financial flexibility hypotheses.
