  • In this paper we investigate the barrellednes of some spaces of X-valued measures, X being a barrelled normed space, and provide examples of non barrelled spaces of bounded linear operators from a Banach space X into a barrelled normed space Y, equipped with the uniform convergence topology.

  • We construct a weak Hopf algebra $wX_q(A_1)$ corresponding to non-standard quantum group $X_q(A_1)$. The PBW basis of $wX_q(A_1)$ is described and all the highest weight modules of $wX_q(A_1)$ are classified. Finally we give the Clebsch-Gordan decomposition of the tensor product of two highest weight modules of $wX_q(A_1)$.

  • The purpose of this note is to introduce a type of Riemannian manifold called an almost quasi Ricci symmetric manifold and investigate the several properties of such a manifold on which some geometric conditions are imposed. And the existence of such a manifold is ensured by a proper example.

  • In this paper, for discrete groups G and K, we show that the cohomology of the complex of projective tensor product B*(G)⨶B*(K) is isomorphic to the bounded cohomology Ĥ*(G × K) of G × K, which is the cohomology of B*(G × K) as topological vector spaces, where B*(G) is a complex of bounded cochains of G with real coefficients ℝ. In fact, we construct an isomorphism between these two cohomology groups that carries the canonical seminorm in Ĥ*(G × K) to the seminorm in the cohomology of B*(G)⨶B*(K).

  • For an extension field K of k, a restriction homomorphism on Brauer k-group B(k) maps Brauer k-algebras to Brauer K- algebras by tensor product. A purpose of this work is to study the restriction map that sends radical (Schur) k-algebras to radical (Schur) K-algebras. And we ask an analogous question with respect to corestriction map on Brauer group B(K) that whether the corestriction map sends radical K-algebras to radical k-algebras.

  • We discuss the integrability of orthogonal almost complex structures on Riemannian products of even-dimensional round spheres and give a partial answer to the question raised by E. Calabi concerning the existence of complex structures on a product manifold of a round 2-sphere and of a round 4-sphere.

  • Injective JW-algebras are defined and are characterized by the existence of projections of norm 1 onto them. The relationship between the injectivity of a JW-algebra and the injectivity of its universal enveloping von Neumann algebra is established. The Jordan analgue of Theorem 3 of [3] is proved, that is, a JC-algebra A is nuclear if and only if its second dual $A^{**}$ is injective.

  • In this work, the irreducible complex representations of degree 4 of $B_4$, the braid group on 4 strings, are classified. There are 4 families of representations: A two-parameter family of representations for which the image of $P_4$, the pure braid group on 4 strings, is abelian; two families of representations which are the composition of an irreducible representation of $B_3$, the braid group on 3 strings, with a certain special homomorphism $\pi : B_4 \longrightarrow B_3$; a family of representations which are the tensor product of 2 irreducible two-dimensional representations of $B_4$.

  • In this paper, we study certain doubly-warped products which admit gradient Ricci solitons with harmonic Weyl curvature and non-constant soliton function. The metric is of the form $g=dx^2_1+p(x_1)^2dx^2_2+h(x_1)^2\;{\tilde{g}}$ on ${\mathbb{R}}^2{\times}N$, where $x_1$, $x_2$ are the local coordinates on ${\mathbb{R}}^2$ and ${\tilde{g}}$ is an Einstein metric on the manifold N. We obtained a full description of all the possible local gradient Ricci solitons.

  • The concept of Gibbs’ phenomenon has not been made for higher dimension in wavelets. In this paper we extend the concept in two dimensional wavelets. We give the fundamental concept of jump discontinuity in two dimensions. We provide the criteria for the existence of Gibbs phenomenon for both separable and tensor product wavelets.
