Microstructure and electrical properties of $In_2O_3$ transparent thin films are analyzed on the basis of Structure Zone Model (SZM) proposed by Thornton. Thin films are deposited on glass substrate by RF magnetron sputtering with variation of substrate temperature $(T_s)$ and argon gas pressure $(P_{Ar})$. Microstructure of Zone I of SZM is observed with lowering of substrate temperature or increasing of argon pressure. The higher electrical resistivity of those specimens is due to micro-pores or voids between columnar grains. At the conditions of $T_s=450^{\circ}C$ and $P_{Ar}$=4.2mTorr, the Zone II structure of SZM and the lowest electrical resistivity $(2.1{\times}10^{-2}{\Omega}cm)$ are observed. The dense structure of columnar grains with faceting on growing surface and preferred orientation of (100) plane are observed in those specimens.
This study predicts the of the hysteretic friction of a rubber block sliding on an SMA asphalt road. The friction of filled rubber on a rough surface is primarily determined by two elements:the viscoelasticity of the rubber and the multi-scale perspective asperities of the road. The surface asperities of the substrate exert osillating forces on the rubber surface leading to energy dissipation via the internal friction of the rubber when rubber slides on a hard and rough substrate. This study defines the power spectra at different length scales by using a high-resolution surface profilometer, and uses rubber and road surface samples to conduct friction tests. I consider in detail the case when the substrate surface has a self affine fractal structure. The theory developed by Persson is applied to describe these tests through comparison with the hysteretic friction coefficient relevant to the energy dissipation of the viscoelastic rubber attributable to cyclic deformation. The results showed differences in the absolute values of predicted and measured friction, but with high correlation between these values. Hence, the friction prediction model is an appropriate tool for separating the effects of each factor. Therefore, this model will contribute to clearer understanding of the fundamental principles of rubber friction.
In order to fad the most fitted biodegradation model, biodegradation kinetics model to the initial phenol and p-cresot concentrations were investigated and had been fitted by the linear regression. Bacteria capable of degrading p-cresol were isolated from soil by enrichment culture technique. Among them, strain Ml capable of degradillg p.rcresol has also degraded phenal and was identified as the genus Micrococcus from the results from of taxonomical studies. The optimal tonditlons for the biodegradation of phenal and p-cresol by Micrococcus sp. Ml were $NH_4NO_3$ 0.05%, pH 7.0, 3$0^{\circ}C$, respectively, and medium volume 100m1/250m1 shaking flask. iwicrococcus sp. Ml was able to grow on phenal concentration up to 14mM and p-cresol concelltration up to 0.8mM. With increasing substrate concentraction, the lag period increased, but the maximum specific growth rates decreased. The yield coefficient decreased with increasing substrate concentation. The biodegradation kinetics of phenol and p-cresol were best described by Monod with growth model for every experimented concentration. In cultivation of mixed substrate, p-cresol was degraded first and phenol was second. This result implies that p-cresol and phenol was not degraded simultaneously.
The mathematical model of specific growth rate of Saccharomyces cerevisiae ATCC 24858 is proposed as a function of sugar and ethanol concentrations by the combination of Andrew's equation and Aiba's equation. The maximum concentration of sugar Sm, which was the highest concentration of sugar not having any effect on the growth inhibition, was 150 g/L and the substrate inhibition was expressed as a function of (S-Sm). The maximum specific growth inhibition, was 150 g/L and the substrate inhibition was expressed as a function of (S-Sm). The maximum specific growth rate ${\mu}m$, Monod's constant Ks, and Andrew's inhibition constant KI were 0.49 hr-1, 19 g/L, and 139 g/L, respectively. The maximum ethanol concentration, Pm, which did not show any inhibition effect on the specific growth rate was found to be 2 g/L. Therefore, the ethanol inhibition was represented as a function of (P-Pm). The final mathematical model for the specific growth rate of the microorganism in this work is proposed as the following. And the average percent of errors between the calculated specific growth rate and the experimental values was 5.96%.

Since the monolithic ceramic substrate was introduced for automotive catalytic converters, the durability of the substrate has been a continuing requirement to reduce the emission gas of vehicle. The substrate can occupy a volume as small as 82 $cm^3$ and as large as 8200 $cm^3$ to provide the required substrate for catalytic activity. The long-term durability varies with the size of the substrate from manufacture's point of view. Therefore This study presents that the response surface model using central composite design can explain size effect on the modulus of rupture in a cordierite ceramic monolithic substrate.

Background: Cambaroides similis is an endangered candidate species living in the stream of South Korea. Freshwater crayfish is known to decline rapidly not only domestically, but also internationally. Its decline is projected to be further exacerbated due to climate change. Understanding physical characteristics of the habitat is crucial for the conservation of an organism. However, comprehensive data regarding the distribution and physical habitat characteristics of C. similis are currently unavailable in South Korea. Thus, the objective of this study was to ascertain preferred ranges for water depth, current velocity, and streambed substrate of C. similis using Weibull model. Results: In this study, C. similis was found at 59 sites across 12 regions in South Korea. Its optimal water depth preferences ranged from 11.9 cm to 30.1 cm. Its current velocity preferences ranged from 9.8 cm s-1 to 29.1 cm s-1. Its substrate preferences ranged from -5.1 𝜱m to -2.5 𝜱m. Median values of central tendency were determined as follows: water depth of 21.4 cm, current velocity of 21.2 cm s-1, and substrate of -4.1 𝜱m. Mean values of central tendency were determined as follows: water depth of 21.8 cm, current velocity of 22.0 cm s-1, and substrate of -4.4 𝜱m. Mode values of central tendency were determined as follows: water depth of 21.7 cm, current velocity of 20.1 cm s-1, and substrate of -3.7 𝜱m. Conclusions: Based on habitat suitability analysis, physical microhabitat characteristics of C. similis within a stream were identified as Run section with coarse particle substrate, low water depth, and slow current velocity. Due to high sensitivity of these habitats to environmental changes, prioritized selection and assessment of threats should be carried out as a primary step.

Winding is one of the major processes in roll-to-roll systems. Taper tension profile in a winding determines the distribution of stress in the radial direction, i.e., the radial stress in the wound rolls. Maximum radial stress is major cause of material defect, and this study has been actively proceeded. Traditional models of radial stress model were focused on flexible and light substrate. In this study, we developed an advanced radial stress model including effects of both these parameters(weight and stiffness) on the radial stress. The accuracy of the developed model was verified through FEM(Finite Element Method) analysis. FEM result of maximum radial stress value corresponds to 99 % in comparison to result with the model. From this study, the material defects does not occur when the steel winding. And steel industry can be applied to improve the winding process.

A simple model for the impurity profile in an ion-implanted channel layer of an enhancement type IGFET is assumed and a simple expression for the threshold voltage derived by using the assumed impurity profile is analyzed in detail. Also, this simple model is applied to simulating the substrate bias dependence of its threshold voltage. Excellent agreement is obtained between theory and experiment on n-channel devices. The error range of threshold voltage between gaussian-profile and box-profile is calculated in this paper and a new method of calculating the depth of ion-implanted Baler D is also introduced.
Homology modeling of Streptomyces peucetius CYP147F1 was constructed using three cytochrome P450 structures, CYP107L1, CYPVdh, and CYPeryF, as templates. The lowest energy SPCYP147F1 model was then assessed for stereochemical quality and side-chain environment by Accelrys Discovery Studio 3.1 software. Further activesite optimization of the SPCYP147F1 was performed by molecular dynamics to generate the final SPCYP147F1 model. The substrate limonene was then docked into the model. The model-limonene complex was used to validate the active-site architecture, and functionally important residues within the substrate recognition site were identified by subsequent characterization of the secondary structure. The docking of limonene suggested that SPCYP147F1 would have broad specificity with the ligand based on the two different orientations of limonene within the active site facing to the heme. Limonene with C7 facing the heme with distance of $3.4{\AA}$ from the Fe was predominant.

The substrate doping concentration dependence of strain-enhanced electron mobility in (110)/<110> nMOSFETs is investigated by using a self-consistent Schr$\ddot{o}$dinger-Poisson solver. The electron mobility model includes Coulomb, phonon, and surface roughness scattering. The calculated results show that, in contrast to (100)/<110> case, the longitudinal tensile strain-induced electron mobility enhancement on the (110)/<110> can be increased at high substrate doping concentration.
