  • In this paper we discuss the generating algorithm of Kumar code sequences which are based on generalized bent sequences for FH-CDMA. The code sequence generator was constructed for the shift register stages n=4 over GF (5). Finally we analyze the characteristics fo Hamming correlation between two code sequences and the time-frequency correlatins of the complete waveform with the sinusoidal chips as the elemental waveforms.

  • In the present paper, absolute matrix summability of infinite series is studied. A new theorem concerning absolute matrix summability factors, which generalizes a known theorem dealing with absolute Riesz summability factors of infinite series, is proved using almost increasing and ${\delta}$-quasi-monotone sequences. Also, a result dealing with absolute $Ces{\grave{a}}ro$ summability is given.

  • It is shown that a pair of Hilbert space operators V and W such that $V^*W=I$ (called a biisometric pair) shares some common properties with unilateral shifts when orthonormal bases are replaced with biorthogonal sequences, and it is also shown how such a pair of biisometric operators yields a pair of biorthogonal sequences which are shifted by them. These are applied to a class of Laguerre operators on $L^2[0,{\infty})$.

  • In this paper, we first define generalizations of Pell and Pell-Lucas sequences by the recurrence relations $$p_n=2ap_{n-1}+(b-a^2)p_{n-2}\;and\;q_n=2aq_{n-1}+(b-a^2)q_{n-2}$$ with initial conditions $p_0=0$, $p_1=1$, and $p_0=2$, $p_1=2a$, respectively. We give generating functions and Binet's formulas for these sequences. Also, we obtain some identities of these sequences.

  • In this study, we consider the Hankel and Gram matrices which are defined by the elements of special number sequences. Firstly, the eigenvalues, determinant, and norms of the Hankel matrix defined by special number sequences are obtained. Afterwards, using the relationship between the Gram and Hankel matrices, the eigenvalues, determinants, and norms of the Gram matrices defined by number sequences are given.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of asymptotical deferred statistical equivalence in the Wijsman sense for double set sequences. Also, we give some properties of this concept and prove some theorems associated with this concept. Furthermore, we examine the connection between the concepts of asymptotical deferred statistical and Cesàro equivalence in the Wijsman sense for double set sequences.

  • Previously, as an effort to make an autonomously replicating expression vector in fish, an ARS (autonomously replicating sequence) was cloned from MAR (matrix attachment region) of Misgurnus mizolepis. The DNA fragment composed of 443 base pairs contains ARS core consensus sequences, topoisomerase II consensus sequences, and A or T box sequences which are homologous to the known consensus sequences originated from other organisms. The clond ARS, as other DNA replication origins, contains inverted repeat sequences and several potential hairpin loop structures. These consensus sequences and hairpin structures may serve as recognition signals for regulatory proteins of DNA replication initiation.

  • To compare the accuracy of breath-hold magnetic resonance imaging sequences to establish the most effective superparamagnetic iron oxide-enhanced sequence for detection of hepatic metastases. A total of 100 patients(50men and 50women, mean age: 60years) with liver disease(including malignant and benign liver lesions) were investigated at 3.0T machine (GE, General Electric Medical System, Excite HD) with 8Ch body coil. Pulse sequence for MR imaging decided to the FS-T2-FSE-RT(TR/TE/Thick./Freq./Phase=12857ms/100ms/7mm/512/384), MGRE(TR/TE/Thick./Freq./Phase=100ms/9.7ms/7mm/384/288), in-out of phase echo(TR/$TE_1$, $TE_2$/Thick./Freq./Phase=140ms/2.4, 5.8ms/7mm/352/300), Images obtained before the injection of SPIO. Six sequences were optimized for lesion detection: FS-T2-FSE-RT, multigradient recalled echo data image(MGRE), T2-weighted MGRE with an 9.7msec echo time. Images were reviewed independently by five blinded observers. The accuracy of each sequence was measured by using picture archiving communication system analysis. All results were correlated with findings at multidectator computed tomography examination. Differences between the mean results of the six observers were measured by using paired student t-test analysis. Postcontrast T2-weighted MGRE sequences were the most accurate and were significantly superior to postcontrast FS-T2-FSE-RT, T2-weighted MGRE, in-out of phase MR sequences(p < .05). For all lesions that were malignant or smaller than 1 cm, respectively, contrast to noise ratio of pre and postcontrast sequences were -1and -0.3 for T2-weighted FSE, 0.53 and 4.5 in-out of phase, 7, 7.08, 5.08, 3.32, 1.7, 1.16, 0.79, 0.68 for GRE with 2.9, 7.5, 12.1, 16.6, 21.2, 25.8, 30.4, 35.0 TE values. Breath-hold various TE precontrast sequences offer improvement in sensitivity compared with fixed multigradient recalled echo sequences alone.

  • Recently, sequence data containing time information, such as sensor measurement data and purchase history, has been generated in various applications. So far, many methods for finding sequences that are significantly different from other sequences among given sequences have been proposed. However, most of them have a limitation that they consider only the order of elements in the sequences. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new anomalous sequence detection method that considers both the order of elements and the time interval between elements. The proposed method uses an extended LSTM autoencoder model, which has an additional layer that converts a sequence into a form that can help effectively learn both the order of elements and the time interval between elements. The proposed method learns the features of the given sequences with the extended LSTM autoencoder model, and then detects sequences that the model does not reconstruct well as anomalous sequences. Using experiments on synthetic data that contains both normal and anomalous sequences, we show that the proposed method achieves an accuracy close to 100% compared to the method that uses only the traditional LSTM autoencoder.

  • In this paper we obtain a "compactness" result that asserts the existence, in certain sets of sequences, of a sequence which has a maximal reciprocal sum. We derive this result from a much more general theorem which will be proved by introducing a metric into the set of sequences and using a topological argument.
