Background : Aim of this study is focused on the analysis of the needed abilities of medical representatives resulting in building up the market and increasing sales. It is to propose methods to increase this ability ensuring continuous growth in market share and profit. Methods : A survey was conducted between January 6 and May 31, 2003. Using SPSS(Version 10.0), the collected data was analyzed by Hotelling T2, factor analysis. Some hypotheses were selected to include the conclusion. Some questionnaires for physicians working in hospitals or clinics and the medical representatives working in a pharmaceutical company were created and asked to them to either prove or reject those hypotheses. The results were analyzed to find the primary factors that effect the interactions between physician and the medical representatives. These factors were also studied along with the theoretical research based on published references. Results : The results were as follows. The main reasons for the physician to meet with a medical representatives were collection of product informations needed for patient treatment and collection of informations on current medical issue and as well as personal interests. The main parameters by which physicians evaluate the medical representatives are human relationship including sincerity and manners and supply of accurate and unbiased information on products. Overall, the medical representatives' perception on the importance of medical knowledge and ability to deliver it are lower than that expected by physicians. Conclusion : Medical and pharmaceutical companies' environment are changed rapidly. And those changes forced medical representatives to set new roles and competency. In order to drive away from the past 'rule of thumb' and 'adaptation to circumstance', optimal method and systemic development to train and support the medical representatives should be quipped. They will help medical representatives to be specialists in medical knowledge and to understand the exact need of health care professions. Product competitiveness will be increased and eventually successful business can be achieved through it.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between complexity, tacit knowledge, know-how, perception, and perception on business performance, and to suggest management implications for corporate performance and organizational executives. Therefore, the implications of this study are as follows. First, corporate representatives and staff in charge of organization should be able to access various information and contents through various routes about the work of members of the organization, and should make efforts to freely communicate among members. Second, corporate representatives and organizational practitioners should consider using the traditional methods of communication within their work, but allowing more informed and inmates to do more off-the-job activities that can increase intimacy with each other. Third, corporate representatives and organizational practitioners should provide a situation in which they can acquire work knowledge in a variety of ways, but must devise communication methods to increase information sharing and information value among members. Fourth, corporate representatives and organizational practitioners should endeavor to provide employees with educational support, family invitation events, awards and bonuses, and compliments that will make them more interested in their work. Lastly, corporate representatives and organizational practitioners are encouraged to maintain effective communication, employee pride, etc., so that the concentration of work, achievement, quality and productivity of work, and high professionalism can be maintained. The purpose of this study are to provide the basic data materials and implementations for successful performance of electric-work field representatives of South Korean firms by identifying their roles and competency and examining their educational need. For this research purposes, three phased analysis was followed on: (1) the roles of electric-work field representatives, (2) competency of electric-work field representatives and (3) educational need for their competency. This research method was to conduct a focus group interview for 10 expert field representatives along with survey. The collected data materials were processed by MS Excel and SPSS 21.0 for statistical analysis including average, standard deviation and other basic statistics; the gap in awareness of field representatives; and need values. For the needs analysis, the difference between significance of field representatives' competency and current status was examined by t test. And the awareness gap between competency importance and current status was identified based on the Borich equation. The Locus for Focus model was employed herein to identify the kinds of competency with high importance and high inconsistency to prioritize. As a result, this research has found as follows: first, the roles of field representatives were found to be in 13 different kinds of roles. Second, electric-work field representatives were found to need to have 16 different skills. Third, regarding the 16 abilities, the gap between current status and significance was analyzed herein. The results showed statistically significant differences in all cases. The Borich needs analysis found the first required ability was communication ability followed by power of execution, conflict management ability, analytical thinking and time management ability. Also, the results of Locus for Focus model analysis displayed that the first quadrant(HH) included 7 highly-demanded abilities of communication ability, analytical thinking, decision making ability, specialty, time management ability, power of execution and drive for work implementation. The top-priority group was found to have 5 items of communication ability, analytical thinking, time management ability, power of execution and drive for work implementation which were commonly seen in the Locus for Focus model outcomes. Based on these findings, this research could identify the roles and competency of electric-work field representatives and provide the basic data materials applicable to future personal management of electricity companies including recruitment, division of work, job description, evaluation, etc. Also this research offered guidelines on demanded abilities in the field and where to place priority. The kinds of abilities with high educational demand as found in this research must be considered in designing educational programs for the competency building of field representatives. This research is expected to provide useful information in developing such educational programs for field representatives.
This study seeks to reveal why the U.S. House Democrats showed different levels of support in the voting of the U.S.-Morocco FTA, U.S.-Bahrain FTA, and U.S.-Oman FTA. Existing studies focusing on the constituency or members' ideology do not properly account for the variance of these three FTA voting results. All of these FTAs, however, were promoted as a part of the president's foreign policies. If so, FTA support in Congress could depend on representatives' evaluation of the presidential foreign policy. Based on this, the study analyzes how representatives' evaluation of President Bush's foreign policy changed according to the period of the three FTA votes. The vote on the FTAs has been influenced by their evaluation of the presidential foreign and national security policies.
Corporations look for their competitiveness in many different areas, and one of them is customer call center, which provides professional, special service to the customers. The importance and the value of realization of customer satisfaction at each call center have become significant as it plays a leading role and is responsible for customer recreation and follow-up services. This study held in-depth interviews with 3 groups of professional call representatives (categorized by experience) from popular property and life insurance companies in Korea who operate in and outbound calls. Three variables, emotional quotient, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), and IT utilization skill, were selected and it was observed how these variables affect the job performance of in and outbound call center representatives. The importance of the relationship between the variables and the key factors in the future direction of improvement of the call center representative organization was analyzed. Emotional quotient refers to the ability to recognize and use the emotion of oneself and others. It was considered it would be effective in enhancing the counseling ability of call center representatives, This study identifies the effect of emotional quotient on job performance and organizational citizenship behavior, which is defined as actions outside of normative roles in the organization. Also, the study aims to prove the effect of emotional quotient on the rapidly developing IT utilization ability in relation to job performance. As a result, it was found that service career (3 months, 3 years, 10 years) had a significant effect on the key factors that affect the organization-emotional quotient, IT utilization skill, and OCB. Especially for OCB, it was considered relatively less important to the new employees, while it greatly affected the job performance, rate of settlement, and sustainment of the working life for those with longer experience. Also, the result of the interview for each variable differed by the service career. Emotional quotient, IT utilization skill, and OCB were close connection for the representatives with longer experience than for those with shorter experience. And the level of intimacy of their relationship with job performance was in proportion to the years of service. Thus, to secure stability for the call center representatives and enhance their job performance continually, the importance of emotional quotient and IT utilization skill shall be reflected in the operation process actively. In particular, in order to lead a organization with outstanding culture, a management system shall apply OCB from the recruitment process.
Deconstructionism is a philosophical stream in the latter half of 20'th century which goes against western metaphysics and tries to deconstruct the dualism e.g. eastern/west-ern man/woman. Its main concepts are 'indi-vidual' 'other' 'difference' 'restoration of the repressed' 'decentralization' 'Today it shows strong influences in literature art, and other social fields. This study investigated inner meanings and exterior forms represented in clothing on the base of Jacques Derrida's theory in order to re-search modes of deconstruction in is. And it compared clothing with architecture among other genres of art in order to discover similarities between through and modes of art in a certain period. For illuminating concept of deconstruction I referred to the literatures of preceding studies and for deconstruction's characteristics in both clothing and architec-ture I referred work's collection book $\ulcorner$collec-tions$\lrcorner$ and other related books dealing from 1960's to this point. As a rsult there are four modes of decons-truction in both clothing and architecture as follows; 1) Differenance which is a concept of the dif-ference in time and space as being trace. 2) In termeaning of meanings which is not present in reality but re-interpreted a new in the future. 3) Interxtuality in which a texte is not alone but with others 4) Dis.De phenomenon in which distortion and fragmentation forms occur as the result of the denial of perfection and reson. The purpose of this paper is to research the factors and the effects of immediacy in mathematics teaching and learning and mathematical problem solving. The factors of immediacy are visualization, functional fixedness and representatives. In special, students can apprehend immediately the clues and solution using the visual representation because of its properties of finiteness and concreteness. But the errors sometimes originate from visual representation which come from limitation of the visual representation. It suggests that students have to know conceptual meaning of the visual representation when they use the visual representation. And this phenomenon is the same in functional fixedness and representatives which are the factors of immediacy The methods which overcome the errors of immediacy is that problem solvers notice the limitation of the factors of immediacy and develop the meta-cognitive ability. According to the "Offshore Wind Development Plan," large-scale project-oriented supply expansion is necessary to achieve 12 GW by 2030. But implementation may be delayed due to difficulty in securing the acceptance of residents. This study looked at residents' acceptance by comparing the perceptions of local representatives in Gunsan and Jeju. To this end, six in-depth interviews were conducted and the entire contents of the interviews were converted to text files. By using text network analysis (Netminer 4.4), the cognitive structure of local representatives was analyzed and compared. Based on the analysis results, Maldo, Myeongdo and Bangchukdo in Gunsan are promoting offshore wind farms in fishing license areas of the three islands in order to respond to opposition from other fishing village fraternities. In Dumo-ri, Jeju, important discussions and decisions related to offshore wind farms were decided in meetings (offshore wind power promotion committee, village assembly).

The purpose of this study was to find out job description and necessary abilities for Consumer Affairs Department Service in business. This study was done using survey by mail to the representatives in Consumer Affairs Department in business. 354 representatives were used for the sample. The business was selected 32 among 107 in OCAP(Organization of Consumer Affairs Professionals in Business), from September 25 to October 5, 2000. The results were analyzed from 96 representatives, 23 business. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The degree of importance and participation on the job description in Customer Service Department was analyzed. The most important job was related to consulting. Consumer management and information collect & provision were next important job in consumer affairs. 2. When the degree of participation on the job description compared to the degree of importance, we found that the general level of participation on the job was a little lower than the degree of importance on the job. Especially, the biggest difference was found in the formation of focusing customer. The smallest difference was found in the field of consulting. 3. The most necessary ability for the representative of consumer affairs department in business was responsibility and sincerity, communication skill. The big difference of present ability and necessary ability of representative was persuasive power and communication skirt.
