RICCI SOLITONS ON RICCI PSEUDOSYMMETRIC (LCS)n-MANIFOLDS

  • The object of the present paper is to study some types of Ricci pseudosymmetric $(LCS)_n$-manifolds whose metric is Ricci soliton. We found the conditions when Ricci soliton on concircular Ricci pseudosymmetric, projective Ricci pseudosymmetric, $W_3$-Ricci pseudosymmetric, conharmonic Ricci pseudosymmetric, conformal Ricci pseudosymmetric $(LCS)_n$-manifolds to be shrinking, steady and expanding. We also construct an example of concircular Ricci pseudosymmetric $(LCS)_3$-manifold whose metric is Ricci soliton.

Conformally Flat Totally Umbilical Submanifolds in Some Semi-Riemannian Manifolds

  • We prove that totally umbilical submanifold M of an extended quasi-recurren manifold is also extended quasi-recurrent. If, moreover, M is conformally flat then, locally, M is isometric to the manifold with known metric. Some curvature properties of such submanifold are investigated. Making use of these results we shall prove the existence of totally umbilical submanifold being pseudosymmetric in the sense of Ryszard Deszcz and satisfying some other curvature conditions.

  • The object of the present paper is to study some curvature properties of almost Kenmotsu manifolds with conformal Reeb foliation. Among others it is proved that an almost Kenmotsu manifold with conformal Reeb foliation is Ricci semisymmetric if and only if it is an Einstein manifold. Finally, we study Yamabe soliton in this manifold.

  • This paper deals with the study of N (k)-quasi Einstein manifolds that satisfies the certain curvature conditions 𝒞*·𝒞* = 0, 𝓢·𝒞* = 0 and ${\mathcal{R}}{\cdot}{\mathcal{C}}_*=f{\tilde{Q}}(g,\;{\mathcal{C}}_*)$, where 𝒞*, 𝓢 and 𝓡 denotes the quasi-conformal curvature tensor, Ricci tensor and the curvature tensor respectively. Finally, we construct an example of N (k)-quasi Einstein manifold.

ON PSEUDO SEMI-PROJECTIVE SYMMETRIC MANIFOLDS

  • In this paper we introduce a new tensor named semi-projective curvature tensor which generalizes the projective curvature tensor. First we deduce some basic geometric properties of semi-projective curvature tensor. Then we study pseudo semi-projective symmetric manifolds $(PSPS)_n$ which recover some known results of Chaki [5]. We provide several interesting results. Among others we prove that in a $(PSPS)_n$ if the associated vector field ${\rho}$ is a unit parallel vector field, then either the manifold reduces to a pseudosymmetric manifold or pseudo projective symmetric manifold. Moreover we deal with semi-projectively flat perfect fluid and dust fluid spacetimes respectively. As a consequence we obtain some important theorems. Next we consider the decomposability of $(PSPS)_n$. Finally, we construct a non-trivial Lorentzian metric of $(PSPS)_4$.

  • We study pseudo symmetric (briefly $(PS)_n$) and pseudo Ricci symmetric (briefly $(PRS)_n$) warped product manifolds $M{\times}_FN$. If M is $(PS)_n$, then we give a condition on the warping function that M is a pseudosymmetric space and N is a space of constant curvature. If M is $(PRS)_n$, then we show that (i) N is Ricci symmetric and (ii) M is $(PRS)_n$ if and only if the tensor T defined by (2.6) satisfies a certain condition.

GENERALIZED SASAKIAN SPACE FORMS ON W0-CURVATURE TENSOR

  • In this article, generalized Sasakian space forms are investigated on W0 -curvature tensor. Characterizations of generalized Sasakian space forms are obtained on W0-curvature tensor. Special curvature conditions established with the help of Riemann, Ricci, concircular, projective curvature tensors are discussed on W0-curvature tensor. With the help of these curvature conditions, important characterizations of generalized Sasakian space forms are obtained. In addition, the concepts of W0-pseudosymmetry and W0 -Ricci pseudosymmetry are defined and the behavior according to these concepts for the generalized Sasakian space form is examined.

Biochemical and Structural Analysis of Hormone-sensitive Lipase Homolog EstE7: Insight into the Stabilized Dimerization of HSL-Homolog Proteins

  • Hormone sensitive lipase (HSL) plays a major role in energy homeostasis and lipid metabolism. Several crystal structures of HSL-homolog proteins have been identified, which has led to a better understanding of its molecular function. HSL-homolog proteins exit as both monomer and dimer, but the biochemical and structural basis for such oligomeric states has not been successfully elucidated. Therefore, we determined the crystal structure of HSL-homolog protein EstE7 from a metagenome library at $2.2\;{\AA}$ resolution and characterized the oligomeric states of EstE7 both structurally and biochemically. EstE7 protein prefers the dimeric state in solution, which is supported by its higher enzymatic activity in the dimeric state. In the crystal form, EstE7 protein shows two-types of dimeric interface. Specifically, dimerization via the external ${beta}8$-strand occurred through tight association between two pseudosymmetric folds via salt bridges, hydrogen bonds and van der Waals interactions. This dimer formation was similar to that of other HSL-homolog protein structures such as AFEST, BEFA, and EstE1. We anticipate that our results will provide insight into the oligomeric state of HSL-homolog proteins.
