  • The purpose of this study is to investigate properties of porous concrete according to rheological properties of binder and compaction factor. The results of this study, the rheological property of binder is stabilized when a mixing time is over 240 seconds in case of target flow values are $175\%\;and\;200\%$. The void ratio of specimen has a very near value by target void ratio on the whole according as the rheological properties of binder and compaction energy are changed when target flow value is $200\%$, compaction energy is $75kN{\cdot}m/m^2$. The specimen has the excellent compressive strength when compaction energy and target flow value are $100kN{\cdot}m/m^2$ and $200\%$ respectively.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the depths of the Rees algebra R[It] and the associated graded ring g $r_{I}$(R) of an ideal I in a local ring (R,m) of dim(R) > 0. The relationship between the Cohen-Macaulayness of these two rings has been studied extensively. Let (R, m) be a local ring and I an ideal of R. An ideal J contained in I is called a reduction of I if J $I^{n}$ = $I^{n+1}$ for some integer n.geq.0. A reduction J of I is called a minimal reduction of I. The reduction number of I with respect to J is defined by (Fig.) S. Goto and Y.Shimoda characterized the Cohen-Macaulay property of the Rees algebra of the maximal ideal of a Cohen-Macaulay local ring in terms of the Cohen-Macaulay property of the associated graded ring of the maximal ideal and the reduction number of that maximal ideal. Let us state their theorem.m.m.

  • Among many graphs, directed acyclic graph(DAG) attracts many researchers due to its nice property of existence of topological sort. In some classic graph problems, it is known that, if we use the aforementioned property, then much efficient algorithms can be generated. So, in this paper, new algorithm for the all-pairs shortest path problem in a DAG is proposed. While the algorithm performing the iteration, it identifies the set of essential arcs which requires in a shortest path. So, the proposed algorithm has a running time of $O(m^*n+m)$, where m, n and $m^*$ denote the number of arcs, number of node, and the number of essential arcs in a DAG, respectively.

  • Lomp [9] has studied finitely generated projective modules over semilocal rings. He obtained the following: finitely generated projective modules over semilocal rings are semilocal. We shall give necessary and sufficient conditions for finitely generated modules to be semilocal modules. By using a lifting property, we also give characterizations of right perfect (semiperfect) rings. Our main results can be summarized as follows: (1) Let M be a finitely generated module. Then M has finite hollow dimension if and only if M is weakly supplemented if and only if M is semilocal. (2) A ring R is right perfect if and only if every flat right R-module is lifting and every right R-module has a flat cover if and only if every quasi-projective right R-module is lifting. (3) A ring R is semiperfect if and only if every finitely generated flat right R-module is lifting if and only if RR satisfies the lifting property for simple factor modules.

  • Let $M=H_1{\cup}_SH_2$ be a Heegaard splitting of a 3-manifold M, D be an essential disk in $H_1$ and A be an essential annulus in $H_2$. Suppose D and A intersect in one point. First, we show that a Heegaard splitting admitting such a (D, A) pair satisfies the disjoint curve property, yet there are infinitely many examples of strongly irreducible Heegaard splittings with such (D, A) pairs. In the second half, we obtain another Heegaard splitting $M=H'_1{\cup}_{S'}H'_2$ by removing the neighborhood of A from $H_2$ and attaching it to $H_1$, and show that $M=H'_1{\cup}_{S'}H'_2$ also has a (D, A) pair with $|D{\cap}A|=1$.

  • The oleophobic property of surfaces modified with micro-post structures are investigated for a range of micro-post diameter ($11-23{\mu}m$) and pitch ($20-40{\mu}m$). The contact angle of an oil droplet on surfaces with various micro-post dimensions was calculated using the Cassie-Baxter model and did not show a good agreement with the measured contact angle. From measurement, the micro-post with diameter of $23{\mu}m$ and pitch of $32{\mu}m$ was found to have the highest contact angle ($134.3^{\circ}$).

  • Let M be a nonzero module. M has the property that every submodule of M lies over a direct summand of M. We study some properties of such a module. The endomorphism ring of such a module is also studied. The relationships of such a module to the semi-regular modules, and to the semi-perfect modules are described.

  • Functional properties such as nitrogen solubility, emulsifying property, foaming property, and water and oil absorption of sesame and perilla protein isolates were determined at pH range of 2-10 and ionic strength of 0-0.5M NaCl. Nitrogen solubility of protein isolates in distilled water showed minimum value at pH6.0 in sesame and at pH 4.0 in perilla and soybean protein isolates, and significantly increased above pH 8.0 in all samples. Addition of 0.1M NaCl solution increased nitrogen solubility, however, decreased in 0.5M NaCl solution. Emulsion activities of all the protein isolates showed minimum value at pH 4.0 and increased in 0.1M NaCl solutions while it was reduced in 0.5M NaCl solutions. The perilla protein isolate showed higher emulsion activity than that of soybean and sesame protein isolates at above pH 6.0. Foaming capacities of sesame and perilla protein isolates were lower than soybean protein isolate and generally all of the samples showed higher profiles in NaCl solutions. The foaming stability of soybean isolate decreased abruptly in 10min, while it was slowly decreased for sesame and perilla isolates during initial 30 min. Oil absorption capacity of perilla protein isolate was higher than that of sesame and soybean protein isolates. Water absorption capacity was similar among the three samples studied.

  • There is a need for light weight and high stiffness characteristics in the building structure as well as aircraft and cars. So fiber reinforced plastic with the addition of reinforcing agent such as glass fiber, carbon fiber, aramid fiber is utilized in this regard. In this study, mechanical strength, flow property and part shrinkage of glass fiber and carbon fiber reinforced PA6 were examined according to reinforcement content such as 10%, 20%, and 30%, and reinforcement type. The mechanical property was measured by a tensile test with specimen fabricated by injection molding and the flow property was measured by spiral test. In addition, we measured the part shrinkage of fiber reinforced PA6 that affects part quality. As glass fiber content increases, mechanical property increased by 75.4 to 182%, and flow property decreased by 18.9 to 39.5%. And part shrinkage decreased by 52.9 to 60.8% in the flow direction, and decreased by 48.2 to 58.1% in the perpendicular to the flow direction. As carbon fiber content increases, mechanical property increased by 180 to 276%, flow property decreased by 26.8 to 42.8%, and part shrinkage decreased by 65.0 to 71.8% and 69.5 to 72.7% in the flow direction and the direction perpendicular to the flow respectively.

  • Let R be a ring with identity and let $M=M_1{\bigoplus}M_2$ be an amply supplemented R-module. Then it is proved that $M_i$ has ($D_1$) and is $M_j-^*ojective$ for $i{\neq}j$, i = 1, 2, if and only if for any coclosed submodule X of M, there exist $M\acute{_1}{\leq}M_1$ and $M\acute{_2}{\leq}M_2$ such that $M=X{\bigoplus}M\acute{_1}{\bigoplus}M\acute{_2}$.
