  • We are presented of several basic properties for negatively superadditive dependent(NSD) random variables. By using this concept we are obtained complete convergence for maximum partial sums of rowwise NSD random variables. These results obtained in this paper generalize a corresponding ones for independent random variables and negatively associated random variables.

  • In this paper, using differential operator, we have introduce new class of p-valent uniformly convex functions in the unit disc U = {z : |z| < 1} and obtain the coefficient bounds, extreme bounds and radius of starlikeness for the functions belonging to this generalized class. Furthermore, partial sums $f_k(z)$ of functions $f(z)$ in the class $S^*({\lambda},{\alpha},{\beta})$ are considered. The various results obtained in this paper are sharp.

  • Let {X, $X_{i};\;i{\geq}1$} be a sequence of independent and identically distributed positive random variables. Denote $S_n= \sum\array\\_{i=1}^nX_i$ and $S\array\\_n^{(k)}=S_n-X_k$ for n ${\geq}$1, $1{\leq}k{\leq}n$. Under the assumption of the finiteness of the second moments, we derive a type of the law of the iterated logarithm for $S\array\\_n^{(k)}$ and the limit point set for its certain normalization.

  • In this work, we rst introduce a class of analytic functions involving the Dziok-Srivastava linear operator that generalizes the class of uniformly starlike functions with respect to symmetric points. We then establish the closure of certain well-known integral transforms under this analytic function class. This behaviour leads to various radius results for these integral transforms. Some of the interesting consequences of these results are outlined. Further, the lower bounds for the ratio between the functions f(z) in the class under discussion, their partial sums $f_m(z)$ and the corresponding derivative functions f'(z) and $f^{\prime}_m(z)$ are determined by using the coecient estimates.

  • Widely orthant dependence (WOD, in short) is a special dependence structure. In this paper, by using the probability inequalities and moment inequalities for WOD random variables, we study the Lp convergence and complete convergence for the partial sums respectively under the conditions of RCI(α), SRCI(α) and R-h-integrability. We also give an application to nonparametric regression models based on WOD errors by using the Lp convergence that we obtained. Finally we carry out some simulations to verify the validity of our theoretical results.

  • The main goal of this paper is to study an extension of random summations of independent and identically distributed random variables when the number of summands in random summation is a partial sum of n independent, identically distributed, non-negative integer-valued random variables. Some characterizations of random summations are considered. The central limit theorems and weak law of large numbers for extended random summations are established. Some weak limit theorems related to geometric random sums, binomial random sums and negative-binomial random sums are also investigated as asymptotic behaviors of extended random summations.

  • Let {$Y_i$,-$\infty$ < i < $\infty$} be a doubly infinite sequence of i.i.d. random variables with E|$Y_1$| < $\infty$, {$a_{ni}$,-$\infty$ < i < $\infty$ n $\geq$ 1} an array of real numbers. Under some conditions on {$a_{ni}$}, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for $\sum\;_{n=1}^{\infty}\frac{1}{n}P(|\sum\;_{i=-\infty}^{\infty}a_{ni}(Y_i-EY_i)|$>$n{\epsilon})$<{\infty}$. We examine whether the result of Spitzer [11] holds for the moving average process, and give a partial solution.

  • For functions $f(z) = \sum_{n = 0}^{\infty}a_n z^n$ and $g(z) = \sum_{n = 0}^{\infty} b_n z^n$ analytic in the unit disk $\Delta = {z : $\mid$z$\mid$ < 1}$, the convolution $f * g$ is defined by $(f * g)(z) = \sum_{n = 0}^{\infty}a_n b_n z^n$. Let S denote the family of functions $f(z) = z + \cdots$ analytic and univalent in $\Delta$ and K, St, C the subfamilies that are respectively convex, starlike, and close-to-convex.

  • It is natural to try to find a kernel such that its convolution of integrable functions converges faster than that of the $Fej{\acute{e}}r$ kernel. In this paper, we introduce a weighted Fourier partial sums which are written as the convolution of signed good kernels and prove that the weighted Fourier partial sum converges in $L^2$ much faster than that of the $Ces{\grave{a}}ro$ means. In addition, we present two numerical experiments.

  • Sung et al. [13] obtained a WLLN (weak law of large numbers) for the array $\{X_{{ni},\;u_n{\leq}i{\leq}v_n,\;n{\leq}1\}$ of random variables under a Cesaro type condition, where $\{u_n{\geq}-{\infty},\;n{\geq}1\}$ and $\{v_n{\leq}+{\infty},\;n{\geq}1\}$ large two sequences of integers. In this paper, we extend the result of Sung et al. [13] to a martingale type p Banach space.
