  • This study was conducted to identify the mediating effects of the therapeutic relationship with mental health professionals between empowerment and recovery in mental illness. The participants were 168 adults in two community mental health centers and three rehabilitation centers in Jeonbuk. The data were collected by structured questionnaires from April 15 to April 30, 2015 and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with the SPSS 19.0 statistical program. The mean score of empowerment for mental illness, recovery and therapeutic relationship were $60.4{\pm}10.85$, $101.8{\pm}20.70$ and $74.5{\pm}14.30$, respectively. There were significantly positive correlations between recovery in empowerment and therapeutic relationship (r=0.33, p<0.001), as well as empowerment and recovery (r=0.51, p<0.001), while there were significantly positive correlations between therapeutic relationship and recovery (r=0.55, p<0.001). Therapeutic relationship had a partial mediated effect between empowerment and recovery, which was found to be significant by the Sobel test (z=3.706, p<0.001). The results of this study can be used as basic data for development of a practical recovery-enhancing program to promote therapeutic relationships and improve empowerment in relation to therapist of the mentally disabled.

  • Current study conducted to verify the impact of emotional labor by Rapport on job burnout and organizational satisfaction from five-star hotel chefs located in Seoul. Survey distributed to employees who are working for department of foodservice from ten five-star hotels, and total 257 respondents were employed for data analysis. The Rapport was tested by using two sub-variables: enjoy relationship and personal bond, the emotional labor were measured by three sub-dimensions: surface behavior, emotional behavior, and inner behavior. Results found that enjoy relationships and personal bonds have significant influence on surface behavior, but the rapport have not significant impact on emotional behavior. In addition, only personal bond of rapport has significant influence on personal bon in present study. Furthermore, all elements of emotional behavior except surface behavior were significant predictors of job burnout, and organizational satisfaction. Hence, this study contributed to provide various practical implication as well as theoretical implications to managers or organizers of five-star hotels especially for foodservice employees.

  • A laboratory experiment was coducted to investigate the relation of various soil phosphorus and some soil chemical properties which affect the composition of inoganic phosphorus and soil phosphorus with 149 phosphorus accumulated soil samples. Soil pH and exchangeable Ca were showed positively high significant correlation with 1.25 $N-NH_4$ OAc-P, Saloid-P, Ca-P and Total-P, however the soil pH was not showed significant relationship with $0.01M-CaCl_2-P$, Al-P, and Fe-P, respectively. Active Al and available phosphorus, water soluble P, and inoganic phosphorus were showed negatively high significant correlation, but Al-P and Fe-P were not. Also active Fe were showed positively significant correlation at 1% level for Fe-P and total-P. In the relationahips between soil pH and active Al, and exchangeable Ca, active Al were showed negatively high significant correlation with log regression equation, and exchangeable Ca were showed positively high significant correlation with liner regression equation. P sorbed by soil from p 20ppm solution was showed negatively high significant correlation with available phosphorus, water soluble P and $0.01M-CaCl_2-P$ in soil and positively with active Al, but was not significant with Ca-P.

  • This study investigated retrospectively the correlation between the results of the N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and a routine blood test using a hospital information system. The NT-proBNP is involved in the pathophysiology of heart failure. The results show that the relationship between age and NT-proBNP was significant (P<0.01) with a positive correlation (r=0.163). The peptide concentration showed a negative correlation between the total protein (r=-0.250) and albumin (r=-0.270), and a negative correlation between the erythrocyte count and hemoglobin and hematocrit (P<0.01). NT-proBNP had a positive correlation with neutrophils (r=0.227) and a negative correlation with lymphocytes (r=-0.236), showing significant results (P<0.01). NT-proBNP and creatinine showed a positive correlation (r=0.594, P<0.01), and it was the most influential factor according to multiple regression analysis (B=0.53, t=7.65). P<0.01). The concentrations of NT-proBNP and uric acid showed a positive correlation (r=0.180, P<0.05). Lactate dehydrogenase was observed as a factor affecting the NT-proBNP (B=0.20, t=3.28, P<0.01). This explanatory power had an influence of 43%. Therefore, the accurate test and related factors of the NT-proBNP have significant clinical value.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the Emotional Expressiveness, Smartphone Addiction, and Self Concept of college students and investigate whether the Self Concept mediate the relationship between the Emotional Expressiveness and Smartphone Addiction. The subjects of this study are 175 college students of 3 colleges located in M-si, J-si and G-si and data collecte for 21 days from June 1 through June 21, 2017. As Emotional Expressiveness increase, Self Concept increase (${\beta}=.286$, p<.01); as their Self Concept increase, their Smartphone Addiction decrease (${\beta}=-.269$, p<.05); and their Self Concept full mediate the relationship between their Emotional Expressiveness and Smartphone Addiction(Z=3.447, p<.01). To alleviate the Smartphone Addiction college students, their Emotional Expressiveness and their Self Concept need to be improved.

  • This study analyzed the effect of small and medium businesses' R&D intensity and patents on their price-earnings (P/E) ratios. Regression analysis was conducted on a sample of manufacturers listed on the Korean Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (KOSDAQ) for the past decade (2000~2009). The result is summarized as follows. First, a negative correlation was identified between companies' R&D intensity and their P/E ratios, but no significant relationship was found between their numbers of domestic patent applications and registrations and P/E ratios. Second, the analysis of the effect of the companies' R&D intensity on their P/E ratios resulted in a negative correlation of -1%. Third, the analysis of the effect of the companies' number of domestic patent applications and registrations on their P/E ratios showed that they did not have any significant relationship. Fourth, high-tech firms' R&D intensity had a negative correlation of -1% with their P/E ratios, but had a positive correlation of 1% with their numbers of domestic patent applications. Furthermore, the R&D intensity of middle-to-high and middle-to-low tech enterprises had a negative correlation of -1% with their P/E ratios, whereas their numbers of domestic patent applications and registrations had no significant relationship with their P/E ratios. The above results suggest that to produce successful outcomes from their R&D investment and patents, individual firms need strategies for technological innovation that relate to their technological level.

The subjects were 199 nursing students from two college in Gwang-ju. A self-report questionnaire was used to collect data on incivility, coping, career identity and burnout. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, independent t-test, ANOVA, and Multiple regression by SPSS ver. 23.0. 87.9% of subjects experiences incivility in clinical practice. Incivility was positively correlated with burnout(r=.27, p<.001). but Incivility was nagatively correlated with career identity(r=-.24, p=.001). Career identity was nagatively correlated with burnout(r=-.62, p<.001). The predictors on burnout were incivility, coping and career identity. These variables have total explanatory power of 48.6% on burnout.
