CIRCULANT AND NEGACYCLIC MATRICES VIA TETRANACCI NUMBERS

  • In this paper, the explicit determinants of the circulant and negacyclic matrix involving Tetranacci sequence $M_n$ and Companion-Tetranacci sequence $K_n$ are expressed by using only Tetranacci sequence $M_n$ and Companion-Tetranacci sequence $K_n$. Also euclidean norms and spectral norms of circulant and negacyclic matrices have been obtained.

ON THE LAST DIGIT AND THE LAST NON-ZERO DIGIT OF nn IN BASE b

  • In this paper we study the sequences defined by the last and the last non-zero digits of $n^n$ in base b. For the sequence given by the last digits of $n^n$ in base b, we prove its periodicity using different techniques than those used by W. Sierpinski and R. Hampel. In the case of the sequence given by the last non-zero digits of $n^n$ in base b (which had been studied only for b = 10) we show the non-periodicity of the sequence when b is an odd prime power and when it is even and square-free. We also show that if $b=2^2{^s}$ the sequence is periodic and conjecture that this is the only such case.

  • Sarcodon aspratus(Berk.) S. Ito에서 분리정제한 단백질가수분해효소의 특성을 조사하였다. 이 효소는 당을 2.1% 함유하고 있었다. Rose bengal, N-bromo succinimide, phenyl methyl sulfonyl fluoride(PMSF)와 같은 화학적 수식 시약에 효소 활성이 저해되었으며, 1차 반응속도론적 불활성 mode를 가지므로 활성 부위는 tryptophan과 serine으로 추정된다. N-말단에서 21번째 잔기까지의 아미노산 배열은 V-T-T-K-Q-T-N-A-P-W-G-L-G-N-I-S-T-T-N-K-L-으로 동정되었다.

CONVERGENCE THEOREMS OF THE ITERATIVE SEQUENCES FOR NONEXPANSIVE MAPPINGS

  • In this paper, we will prove the following: Let D be a nonempty of a normed linear space X and T : D -> X be a nonexpansive mapping. Let ${x_n}$ be a sequence in D and ${t_n}$, ${s_n}$ be real sequences such that (i) $0\;{\leq}\;t_n\;{\leq}\;t\;<\;1\;and\;{\sum_{n=1}}^{\infty}\;t_n\;=\;{\infty},\;(ii)\;(a)\;0\;{\leq}\;s_n\;{\leq}\;1,\;s_n\;->\;0\;as\;n\;->\;{\infty}\;and\;{\sum_{n=1}}^{\infty}\;t_ns_n\;<\;{\infty}\;or\;(b)\;s_n\;=\;s\;for\;all\;n\;{\geq}\;1\;and\;s\;{\in}\;[0,1),\;(iii)\;x_{n+1}\;=\;(1-t_n)x_n+t_nT(s_nTx_n+(1-s_n)x_n)\;for\;all\;n\;{\geq}\;1.$ Then, if the sequence {x_n} is bounded, then $lim_{n->\infty}\;$\mid$$\mid$x_n-Tx_n$\mid$$\mid$\;=\;0$. This result improves and complements a result of Deng [2]. Furthermore, we will show that certain conditions on D, X and T guarantee the weak and strong convergence of the Ishikawa iterative sequence to a fixed point of T.

NON-TRIVIALITY OF TWO HOMOTOPY ELEMENTS IN π*S

  • Let A be the mod p Steenrod algebra for p an arbitrary odd prime and S the sphere spectrum localized at p. In this paper, some useful propositions about the May spectral sequence are first given, and then, two new nontrivial homotopy elements ${\alpha}_1{\jmath}{\xi}_n\;(p{\geq}5,n\;{\geq}\;3)\;and\;{\gamma}_s{\alpha}_1{\jmath}{\xi}_n\;(p\;{\geq}\;7,\;n\;{\geq}\;4)$ are detected in the stable homotopy groups of spheres, where ${\xi}_n\;{\in}\;{\pi}_{p^nq+pq-2}M$ is obtained in [2]. The new ones are of degree 2(p - 1)($p^n+p+1$) - 4 and 2(p - 1)($p^n+sp^2$ + sp + (s - 1)) - 7 and are represented up to nonzero scalar by $b_0h_0h_n,\;b_0h_0h_n\tilde{\gamma}_s\;{\neq}\;0\;{\in}\;Ext^{*,*}_A^(Z_p,\;Z_p)$ in the Adams spectral sequence respectively, where $3\;{\leq}\;s\;<\;p-2$.

Suppose that there exists $n_0\;{\geq}\;1$ such that, for any $n\;{\geq}\;n_0$ and $0\;{\leq}\;{\varepsilon}\;<\;1$, there exist positive constants $c_1$ and $c_2$ such that $c_1e^{-(1+{\varepsilon})x^2/2}\;{\leq}\;P\{\frac{{\mid}S_n{\mid}}{\sigma(n)}\;{\geq}\;x\}\;{\leq}\;c_2e^{-(1-{\varepsilon})x^2/2$, $x\;{\geq}\;1$ Under some additional conditions, we investigate some limsup results for the increments of partial sum processes of the sequence {${\xi}_j;j\;{\geq}\;1$}.

COMPLEX FACTORIZATIONS OF THE GENERALIZED FIBONACCI SEQUENCES {qn}

  • In this note, we consider a generalized Fibonacci sequence {$q_n$}. Then give a connection between the sequence {$q_n$} and the Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind $U_n(x)$. With the aid of factorization of Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind $U_n(x)$, we derive the complex factorizations of the sequence {$q_n$}.

이상적인 자기 상관 특성을 갖는 4진 수열 (Quaternary Sequence with Ideal Autocorrelation Property)

  • 본 연구에서는 짝수 주기와 균형성을 갖는 4진 수열에 대하여 이상적인 자기상관특성을 정의하고, 이것이 이상적인 자기상관특성이 됨을 증명하였다. 또한, 주기가 $2^n-1$인 이상적인 자기 상관 특성을 갖는 이진 수열과 Gray 사상을 이용하여 주기가 $2{\times}(2^n-1)$인 이상적인 자기 상관 특성을 갖는 4진 수열의 생성법을 제안한다. 또한 새로 제안된 4진 수열의 자기상관 분포도 유도하였다.

THE SEQUENTIAL ATTAINABILITY AND ATTAINABLE ACE

  • For any non-negative real number ${\epsilon}_0$, we shall introduce a concept of the ${\epsilon}_0$-dense subset of $R^m$. Applying this concept, for any sequence {${\epsilon}_n$} of positive real numbers, we also introduce the concept of the {${\epsilon}_n$}-attainable sequence and of the points of {${\epsilon}_n$}-attainable ace in the open subset of $R^m$. We also study the characteristics of those sequences and of the points of {${\epsilon}_n$}-dense ace. And we research the conditions that an {${\epsilon}_n$}-attainable sequence has no {${\epsilon}_n$}-attainable ace. We hope to reconsider the social consideration on the ace in social life by referring to these concepts about the aces.

  • In this paper we introduce the new generalized difference sequence space $\ell_\infty$($\Delta_v^n$, M,p,q,s), $\bar{c}$($\Delta_v^n$,M,p,q,s), $\bar{c_0}$($\Delta_v^n$,M,p,q,s), m($\Delta_v^n$,M,p,q,s) and $m_0$($\Delta_v^n$,M,p,q,s) defined over a seminormed sequence space (X,q). We study some of it properties, like completeness, solidity, symmetricity etc. We obtain some relations between these spaces as well as prove some inclusion result.
