걸음마기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 모-아 상호작용과 관련변인 간의 관계 (The Relationship between Mother-Toddler Interaction and Its Related Variables)

  • This research aims at examining the relationships between mother-toddler interaction and its related variables. A total of 49 toddlers and their mothers were participated and observed in the child lab during free play. The main results of this study are as follows. First, among the mother-toddler interaction, 'involvement' was frequently used in comparison with the 'rejection' was the hardly used in their interaction. Second, the mothers' sensitivity, parenting stress, and the mother-toddler interaction had no significant difference by the mothers' job status or gender of toddlers. However, their parenting stress was lower in working mothers or mothers who have girls. Third, mother-toddler interaction was significantly correlated with the mothers' sensitivity, parenting stress, parenting style, and the temperament of toddlers. On the basis of this results, the implication related to the variables influencing mother-toddler interaction was discussed.

만 2세 영아의 상징놀이 수준과 어머니의 반응성 및 언어유형 간의 관계 (The Relationship among Toddler's Symbolic Play Level, Mother's Responsiveness and Verbal Interaction)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among toddler's symbolic play level, mother's responsiveness and verbal interaction. The subjects were 56 pairs of 24-29 months old toddlers and their mothers. The toddler's symbolic play level was classified using categories by Gowen(1995). The mother's verbal interaction was coded during a 10-minute-free play session with her toddler using Caldera, Huston, and O'Brien's(1989) categories. PICCOLO(The Parenting Interactions with Child Checklist of Observations Linked to Outcomes) by Roggman, Cook, Innocenti, Jump, Norman, & Christiansen(2009) was used to investigate the mother's responsiveness. While the mothers played with their toddlers during a 10-minute-free play session, their interaction were videotaped. The data were analyzed by means, t-test, and correlations. The results of the study were as follows: First, the mean levels of the toddler's symbolic play were in level 3, 'the pretending others'. Also girls spent more symbolic play time with mothers than boys. Second, mothers' responsiveness was generally high in free play with their toddlers. Mothers frequently used 'questions' 'comments' and 'fantasy statements'. Mothers with girls used more 'questions' than mothers with boys. Third, there was a significant relationship among toddler's symbolic play level, mother's responsiveness and verbal interaction. Maternal responsiveness and 'fantasy statements' were positively related with the mean level, and the frequency of play. The 'questions' and 'answers' were also related with symbolic play level and frequency. But 'praise' was negatively related with symbolic play frequency. In conclusion, this study suggested that toddler's symbolic play level was related with mother's responsiveness and verbal interaction during free play.

전통놀이에 나타난 어머니-영아간 신체적 상호작용 (Mother-Toddler Physical Interaction in Traditional Play)

  • This study compared mother-toddler physical interaction by play type (traditional play, free play, block play), and child's sex and age. Subjects were 10 boys and 10 girls ranging in age from 25- to 36-months and their mothers. An observer videotaped the children and their mothers at play in their homes. Results showed that (1) mothers' physical interaction was not distinguished by play type or by child's sex or age. (2) Mothers expressed more positive emotion in traditional than in block play. (3) Younger children's play interactions were more nonverbal. (4) Children expressed more positive emotions in traditional play. This study provides groundwork for mother-toddler traditional play programs with potential for improving positive expression of emotion and attachment.

어머니의 영유아에 대한 애착에 영향을 미치는 요인 -영유아와 어머니의 특성, 사회적 지지, 모아상호작용을 중심으로- (Factors Influencing Maternal Attachment to Infant-Toddler -Focusing on Infant-Toddler and Maternal Characteristics, Social Support and Mother-Child Interaction-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 영유아와 어머니의 일반적 특성, 사회적 지지 그리고 모아상호작용이 모아애착에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구는 서술적 조사연구로 자료수집기간은 2016년 3월 1일부터 9월 30일까지였다. 영유아기의 자녀가 있는 어머니 215명을 대상으로 자가 보고형 설문지를 이용하여 일반적 특성, 사회적 지지, 모아상호작용 그리고 애착에 대한 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 24.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, 집단간 평균비교, 상관관계 그리고 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 영유아의 특성 중 성별(t=3.200, p<.002), 연령(t=4.037, p<.001)과 기질(F=4.614, p<.011)에 따라, 어머니의 특성 중 연령(F=18.028, p<.001)과 학력(F=4.241, p<.016)에 따라 애착의 평균값이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 애착은 사회적 지지(r=.507, p<.001) 및 모아상호작용(r=.571, p<.001)과 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 애착에 영향을 미치는 요인은 모아상호작용(${\beta}=0.361$, p<.001), 사회적 지지(${\beta}=0.309$, p<.001), 연령(30세미만)(${\beta}=-0.370$, p<.001) 그리고 결혼 기간(10년 미만)(${\beta}=-0.179$, p<.033)이었다. 애착에 중요한 영향을 미치는 사회적 지지와 모아상호작용을 높일 수 있는 중재 프로그램 개발이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

보육시설 영유아의 공격성에 영향을 미치는 변인들 - 성, 연령, 기질 및 어머니의 양육행동과 보육경험을 중심으로 - (Toddler's Aggressive Behavior)

  • This study explored the antecedent variables associated with variability in toddler's aggressive behavior. The subjects were 182 toddlers(101 boys and 81 girls) and their mothers. Data were collected via questionnaires. The main results of this study were as follows ; First, aggression was significantly correlated with toddler age, but not with gender. Mother's parenting was related to boy's aggression, whereas both temperament and parenting were significantly related to girls' aggressive behavior. However, day-care variabes were not the significantly associated with toddler's aggression. Second, regression analyses revealed the interaction effect of child temperament and parenting, after controlling for main effects.

걸음마기 모(母)-아(兒) 놀이에서의 긍정적 상호작용 증진을 위한 부모교육 프로그램의 개발 및 효과 (The Development of Parent Education Program Enhancing Positive Interactions Between Mother and Toddler in Play Class)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a parent education program enhancing mother's positive interactions in the context of mother-toddler play and to examine the effects of the program. Participants were 47 pairs of toddlers and their mothers who were randomly assigned to either a treatment or a control group. Both treatment and control groups participated in the 8 sessions of the play class. Only treatment groups received the parent education program during the sessions. Data were analysed by t-tests using SPSS 15.0. Results showed that (1) the mothers' positive interactions have been increased; (2) the mothers' parenting efficacy and pleasure have also been increased, whereas the parenting stresses were decreased in the treatment groups. In conclusion, this parent education program in the play session was effective in helping the mothers' positive interactions and perceptions on parenting toddlers.

영아 기질, 어머니 양육행동, 교사 상호작용과 영아 언어능력의 관계 (The relations of toddlers' temperament, mother's rearing attitude, and teacher interaction to Toddlers' Language Ability)

  • 본 연구는 영아 기질, 어머니 양육행동, 교사-상호작용과 영아의 언어능력 간의 관계를 알아보고, 이들 변인이 영아의 언어능력을 예측해 주는 정도와 설명력에 대해 분석해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 25~36개윌 미만 영아 206명, 그들의 어머니, 교사를 대상으로 영아의 언어능력과 영아의 기질, 어머니 양육행동, 교사의 상호작용 행동을 알아보았으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 어머니 양육행동, 교사의 상호작용은 영아의 언어능력과 통계적으로 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 영아의 기질은 하위변인인 활동성, 적응성, 반응강도에서만 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 영아의 언어능력에 대한 기질, 양육행동, 교사의 상호작용 행동의 상대적 설명력의 크기를 살펴본 결과, 교사의 상호작용 행동의 하위변인인 적극적인 활동참여가 가장 많은 설명력을 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 그 다음으로는 영아 기질의 하위변인인 반응강도와 어머니 양육행동 하위변인인 합리적 지도 순으로 유의미한 설명력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Mothers of 113 Korean toddlers completed Toddler Behavior Assessment Questionnaire(TBAQ) and Child Rearing Practice Report(CRPR). Observations of mother-child dyads in novel situations involving unfamiliar settings and adults assessed child's behavioral inhibition. Nonsocial inhibition were measured by the amount of time each child spent in physical contact with his/her mother in free-play episodes. Adult-social inhibition was based on child's behavior when an unfamiliar adult requested that the child approach her as she presented them with toys or activities. Results showed that TBAQ Social Fearfulness was positively associated with nonsocial and adult-social inhibition. TBAQ Pleasure was correlated negatively and TBAQ Anger Proneness positively correlated with adult-social inhibition. An interaction effect showed that child's social fearfulness and mother's overprotective behaviors affected adult-social inhibition. The regression model explained 31% of the variance.

영아기질에 대한 양육자의 지각 차이 및 기질과 양육자와의 상호작용 관계 (Relations Between Infant Temperament by Caregivers' Perceptions and Infant-Caregiver Interactions)

  • Subjects were 78 12- to 35- month old infants, their mothers, and their teachers. Instruments included the Revised Toddler Temperament Questionnaire(Y. H. Choi 1990) and the Assessment Profile for Early Childhood Programs(M. K. Hong 1997; S. K. Kim 1999). There was no significant difference in perceptions of infant temperament between mothers and teachers. Infant-mother interaction differed by infant temperament in that mothers had high scores with easy infants but low scores with difficult children. On the other hand teachers maintained high interactions with difficult infants in the case of infant's rhythmicity. Infant-teacher interaction correlated with such teacher variables as teacher-infant ratio, teachers' academic backgrounds and working hours.
