  • In this article, we deduced some new inequalities related to hyper-Bessel function. By using these inequalities we will find some sufficient conditions under which certain families of integral operators are convex in the open unit disc. Some applications related to these results are also the part of our investigation.

  • In this article, we find some sufficient conditions under which the modified Lommel function is close-to-convex with respect to - log(1 - z) and ${\frac{1}{2}}\;{\log}\;\({\frac{1+z}{1-z}}\)$. Starlikeness, convexity and uniformly close-to-convexity of the modified Lommel function are also discussed. Some results related to the H. Silverman are also the part of our investigation.

  • We introduce Clifford-valued neural networks with leakage delays. Furthermore, we study the uniqueness and existence of Clifford-valued Hopfield artificial neural networks having the Stepanov weighted pseudo almost periodic forcing terms on leakage delay terms. However the noncommutativity of the Clifford numbers' multiplication made our investigation diffcult, so our results are obtained by decomposing Clifford-valued neural networks into real-valued neural networks. Our analysis is based on the differential inequality techniques and the Banach contraction mapping principle.

  • This study investigated the Influence of self-regulation and self-efficacy on academic procrastination of middle school students. For this investigation, 384 middle school students who are in completed the questionnaires including self-regulation, self-efficacy, and academic procrastination in Math Learning. The results were as follows: First, self-regulation and self-efficacy had significant correlations with academic procrastination. Also as a result of hierarchical regression analysis, self-regulation moderated the mediation effect of self-regulation between self-efficacy and academic procrastination. Implications of these results were discussed.

  • The purpose of ths study is to compare and analyze the sequence of teaching multiplication facts in the elementary school mathematics. Generally, the multiplication in the elementary school mathematics is composed of the followings; concepts of multiplication, situations involving multiplication, didactical models for multiplication, and multiplication strategies for teaching multiplication facts. This study is focusing to multiplication facts, especially to the sequence of teaching and multiplication strategies. The method of this study is a comparative and analytic method. In order to compare textbooks, we select the Korean elementary mathematics textbooks(1st curriculum~2009 revised curriculum) and the 9 foreign elementary mathematics textbooks(Japan, China, Germany, Finland, Hongkong etc.). As results of comparative investigation, the sequence of teaching multiplication facts is reconsidered on a basis of elementary students' mathematical thinking. And the connectivity of multiplication facts is strengthened in comparison with the foreign elementary mathematics textbooks. Finally multiplication strategies for teaching multiplication facts are discussed for more understanding and reasoning the principles of multiplication facts in the elementary school mathematics.

  • This study explored teachers (n = 219) from northern, central, southern and eastern Taiwan concerning their views about children's learning difficulties, mathematical instruction and school mathematics curricular. Results showed that teachers' mathematics knowledge or their instruction methods had no significant influence on their views of children's learning difficulties. Even though teachers indicated that understanding of abstract mathematical concepts was the most prominent difficulty for children, they tended to employ direct instruction rather than constructive and cooperative problem solving in their teaching. However, teachers' views of children's learning difficulties did influence their instructional practice. Results from in-dept interviews revealed that there were some obstacles that prevented teachers from putting constructiveism perspectives of instruction into teaching practice. Further investigation is needed to develop a better understanding of epistemology and teaming psychology as well as to help teachers create constructive learning situations.

  • My suggestions to the teachers on the basis of my research are as follows: 1. A mathematical curriculum in high school requires an intuitive understanding. I'm sure we can not only improve the student's intuition and imagination by Euler's insight and intellectual investigation, but also induce motive and interest in mathematical learning by increasing the inquiry activities. Therefore, I suggest that we take advantage of teaching aids available from this research by processing the units in the mathematical textbook. 2. We can feel the beauty of mathematics by Euler's symbols and simple formulas. We must take pride in teaching mathematics because the mathematical insight is very useful in the inqury process. 3. We have to model ourselves after Euler's spirit of inquiry and energetic activities.

  • The development of numerical mathematical model to calculate both the static and dynamic characteristics of a multi-shaft gas turbine consisting of a single combustion chamber, including advanced cycle components such as intercooler and regenerator is presented in this paper. The numerical mathematical model is based on the simplified assumptions that quasi-static characteristic of turbo-machine and injector is used, total pressure loss and heat transfer relation for static calculation neglecting fuel transport time delay can be employed. The supercharger power has a cubical relation to its rotating velocity. The accuracy of each calculation is confirmed by monitoring mass and energy balances with comparative calculations for different time steps of integration. The features of the studied gas turbine scheme are the starting device with compressed air volumes and injector's supercharging the air directly ahead of the combustion chamber.

  • The six core competencies included in the mathematics curriculum revised in 2015 are problem solving, reasoning, communication, attitude and practice, creativity and convergence, information processing. In particular, the reasoning is very important for students' enhancing much higher mathematical thinking. Based on this competency, this study selected the four elements of investigation and fact guess, justification, the logical performance of mathematical content and process, reflection of reasoning process, And also this study selected the domain of function which is comprised of the content of the coordinate plane, the graph, proportionality in the seventh grade mathematics textbook. By the subject of the ten kinds of textbook, this study examined how the four elements of the reasoning competency were shown in each textbook.
