The purpose of this study is to develop an inventory to classify task commitment types of science learning and to classify highschool students' task commitment types. Firstly, inventory questions were designed following the literature analysis on the task commitment components which involve self confidence, high goal setting, and focused attention. Prototype inventory underwent the content validity test, pilot test, and reliability test. Through these steps, final inventory was input to 462 high school students and underwent the factor analysis and cluster analysis. Factor analysis confirmed three components of task commitment as the three factors of inventory questions. In order to find how many clusters exist, factors of developed inventory became new variables. Each factor's factor mean was calculated and served as the new variable of the cluster analysis. Cluster analysis extracted five clusters as task commitment types. The 5 clusters were suggested by the agglomarative schedule and dendrogram gained from a hierarchical cluster analysis with the setting of the Ward algorithm and Squared Euclidean distance. Based on the factor mean score, traits of each cluster could be drawn out. Inventory developed by this study is expected to be used to identify student commitment types and assess the effectiveness of task commitment enhancement programs.

This study examines the influence of the betweenness centrality on tertius gaudens orientation, relationship commitment, and individual learning performance within the university environment. The betweenness centrality explored the antecedent factor of tertius gaudens orientation. The relationship commitment explored the consequence factor of tertius gaudens orientation, and the learning performance explored the consequence factor of the relationship commitment. This survey was carried out by university students. Data were obtained from 74 respondents who have been studying tourism data analytics at one of the leading universities, in Seoul, Korea. In order to validate the research model, social network analysis tool, UCINET 6.689, and a structural equation modeling tool, SmartPLS 3.3.2, were used. The empirical result showed that all antecedent factors (betweenness centrality position, tertius gaudens orientation, and relationship commitment) of the learning performance were significant. In conclusion, this study discusses the research findings and implications. Then the limitations and future directions of the study were suggested.
Purpose - Nowadays, more than ever before, fierce competition, deep market segmentation, short product life cycles, and intensifying customer needs are putting increasing pressure on franchise's organizations to satisfy their customers by creating market-oriented relationships with and enhancing their market knowledge of them. One way that this might be achieved is by establishing deep ties (i.e., job commitment and job satisfaction) with their employees. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine how two important constructs of franchises' strategic efforts, LO (learning orientation) and RMO (relationship marketing orientation), affect job satisfaction, given the mediating role of job commitment. A franchise system comprises a set of contractual arrangements by which mutual obligations are performed. An organizational learning goal motivates employees to improve their abilities and master the tasks they perform. Relationship marketing, in addition, is to identify, establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with customers and other stakeholders to ensure that the objectives of all parties are met and this is done through the mutual exchange of promises. In a relationship marketing orientation, then, a firm creates, maintains, and enhances a strong relationship with its customers by sustaining long-term ties. This study was designed to examine the evolution of various theoretical approaches to franchise systems in order to determine whether theories about firms have significantly affected the franchise system. To this end, the authors developed a structural model consisting of several constructs. Previous studies have suggested that franchises' learning and relationship marketing orientations are important occupational immersion dimensions driving job satisfaction. Research design, data, methodology - We empirically tested a process of how the learning orientation and the relationship marketing orientation influence job commitment and job satisfaction using survey data drawn from 150 responding franchisees who were interviewed about their individual tendencies. Results - The results of this study provide empirical evidence that learning orientation, relationship marketing orientation, and job commitment all influence franchisees' job satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that, first, learning orientation had a significant effect on job satisfaction; second, relationship marketing orientation was positively related to job commitment; third, job commitment had a significant effect on job satisfaction. We also found that relationship marketing orientation and job satisfaction were mediated by job commitment. Conclusions - The findings of this study confirm the importance of learning orientation and relationship marketing orientation in maintaining a positive marketing relationship between franchiser and franchisee from to the perspective of the market. This indicates that franchiser support such as educational programs provided by the franchiser will help franchisees attain higher business management achievement and satisfaction. Moreover, a positive relationship between franchisees and consumers can be maintained through tie effects. Our findings also suggest that learning orientation plays a critical role in job satisfaction within the franchise system.
The purpose of this study was to identify mediating effects of affective commitment between workplace silent behavior and team learning. A team leader should pay attention to workplace silent behavior in that the workplace silent behavior of the team member may have a negative impact on team effectiveness as well as on individual effectiveness. In this study, 106 employees working in diverse domestic companies were surveyed and data were analyzed. The results are as follows. At first, silent behavior has a negative effect on affective commitment. Second. silent behavior has a negative effect on team learning. Third, affective commitment partially mediated silent behavior and team learning. The meaning of these results is that the workplace silent behavior has direct influence on team learning and indirect influence on team learning via affective commitment as well. Based on the results of this study, implications, limitations, and future research topics were discussed.
According to the social learning theory, leader' organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) is a predisposing factor for follower' OCB, because they acknowledge and imitate leader as a desirable example of behaviors for organizational and individual success. We investigate social learning effect of leader OCB on follower OCB and examine the moderating role of political skill in the mediated relationship between leaders OCB and follower OCB (with followers' affective organizational commitment as the mediator). We find that follower's affective organizational commitment may mediate the relationship between leader OCB and follower OCB. Furthermore, we find that follower with high political skill may focus on the instrumental value of OCB. Political skill moderates the relationship between follower' affective organizational commitment and follower OCB. Data from 325 leader-follower dyads support the hypothesis. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings are also discussed.
