This paper reports a meta-analysis of sixteen studies that evaluated the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for persistent primary insomnia. PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, CINAHL and several Korean databases were searched between January 2015 and June 2015. The main search strategy involved the terms that indicate CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-Insomnia) and presence of insomnia. Methodological quality was assessed using Cochrane's Risk of Bias. Data were analyzed by the RevMan 5.3 program of Cochrane Library. Sixteen clinical trials met the inclusion criteria, resulting in a total of 1503 participants. Stimulus control, sleep restriction, sleep hygiene education, and cognitive restructuring were the main treatment components. CBT-I was conducted for a mean of 5.4 weeks, 5.5 sessions, and an average of 90 minutes per session. The effects of CBT-i on total sleep time (d=-0.31), sleep onset latency (d=-0.29), awakening time after sleep onset (d=-0.55), sleep efficiency (d=-0.70), insomnia severity (d=-0.77) and sleep belief (d=-0.64) were significant. Overall, we found a range from small to moderate effect size. CBT-I also was effective for anxiety (d=-0.30) and depression (d=-0.35). The findings demonstrate that CBT-I interventions will lead to the improvement of both sleep quality and quantity in patients with insomnia.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the development of pre-parent education program by grasping parent role recognition, educational needs and readiness of unmarried men and women. The subjects were 196 unmarried male and female students from K-do. Data were collected from November 1st to 20th, 2018, and analyzed using IBM SPSS WIN/21.0 to get frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, sheffe-test, paired t-test, and IPA matrix. The average score of recognition of social pre-parent role was $3.41{\pm}0.27$ (out of 5 points), educational needs was $3.48{\pm}0.41$ points (out of 4 points), and educational readiness was $2.65{\pm}0.57$ points (out of 4 points). educational needs being higher than educational readiness. Through IPA matrix analysis, the area to be strengthened was 'family relation or parent role', and 'self understanding' was the area to encourage putting effort into other evaluation attributes. The area where no further effort is needed and needs improvement in the future was 'spouse selection and marriage', and 'pregnancy and childbirth' and 'child rearing' were the areas to intensively improve. Therefore, there is a need for establishing a standardized strategy in the area A, which has high degree of readiness and needs. Also, it is necessary to take strategies and countermeasures to raise the readiness of area C with low degree of readiness and needs, rather than accepting it as an unnecessary area of further effort input.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between empathy ability and attitude toward mental illness in nursing college students. The subjects of this study were collected in June, 2017 for the 4th grade students attending the nursing department in D city. The data were collected using the SPSS.19 program. The results showed that empathy ability of nursing college students had a significant effect on the attitude toward mentally ill patients. The explanatory power of empathy ability on each subscale was 18% for benevolence, 16% for authoritarianism, 9 % for social restrictiveness, and 4% for community mental health ideology. In conclusion, the empathy ability of nursing college students was found to affect the attitude toward the mentally ill. As the empathy increased, the authoritarianism of the mentally ill was lowered, the benevolence was increased, the social life support and community mental health ideology was positive, so the positive attitude toward mental illness was increased overall. Therefore, it is necessary to systematically train and education nursing college students to develop empathy needed for the therapeutic relationship. These efforts will contribute to the improvement of the awareness of the mentally ill.

The purpose of this study was to examine the status of environmentally-friendly ingredients and dietitians' perceptions toward them in order to find for improvement. Data was collected from questionnaires completed by 202 school dietitians and nutrition teachers in Chungbuk, and this data was analyzed utilizing the SPSS 20.0 program. The results obtained from this study were as follows: 'mixed grains (58.9%)' and 'eggs (36.6%)' were found to be the most used environmentally-friendly ingredients. 81.7% of the respondents said they 'never used' marine products, whereas 'fruits (43.6%)', 'pork (40.8%)', and 'fish (54.5%)' were the most preferred ingredients. Dietitians and nutrition teachers used environmentally-friendly marine products less than other ingredients, had a poor understanding about environmentally-friendly marine products, and demonstrated low reliability and belief in the necessity of the system. In order to verify the environmentally-friendly status of the ingredients, marks on the product and documents of certification were mostly used. In order to improve the supply system, a more strict tracking system in the distribution process by securing more reliable suppliers is required.
An abundant emotional experience in childhood can be a basis of success of their life. In this research, I set up a hypothesis as follows to see if a group plastic activities are effective for the improvement of children's emotional intelligence and self-emotion awareness ability, self-emotion management ability, self-motivation ability, other's emotion awareness ability and personal relationship skill ability. The research subjects were 40 children of 5 years old(experimental Group: 20, controlled group: 20) in Y kindergarten located in Ulsan. In pretest, we confirmed homogeneity between experiment and control group using child emotional checklist and then applied small group plastic artistic activities to the experiment group. Data analysis was performed with population, percentage, t-test and Cronbach a. The findings of this study were: First, the group plastic artistic activities was effective for the emotional intelligence of children. Second, the small group plastic activities was effective for the self-emotion awareness, self-emotion control and self motivation ability of children. Third, the small group plastic activities was effective for the awareness ability about other's emotion and personal relationship skill ability. The result of this study implies that the small group plastic artistic activities are effective children's emotion and we need to develop the various activity program and practice for children's emotion development.
This study was conducted to measure the degree of Korean Gender Egalitarianism among the students from six different high schools(132 girls, 127 boys) in Sunchon si, Chunnam province from Dec. 7th to Dec. 15th in 1999. The survey on gender egalitarianism was done in relation to the public understanding of the subject matter, parents' hug times, and parent's communication skills. Korean gender egalitari- anism scale was standardized by Korea Woman Developmental Institutes in 1999. The data was analyzed by SAS program. Results were as follows: 1) Generally, girls are more conscious of gender egalitariannism than boys(t=-13.79, p<.001). Above all, the younger the students are, the more they feel equal(F=8.01, p<.01). In sibling cases, two sisters have the highest level of gender egalitarianism while two brothers have the lowest level of gender egalitarianism(F=9.20, p<.001). Students who come from religious families are more inclined to demonstrate gender equality(t= 2.42, p<.05). However, there is no difference in relation to the parents' ages or academic background or harmony within the family. 2) There is no difference that girls and boys generally communicate with their parents. In ages, 17 years old students communicate more than 18, 19 with parents(father F=3.97 p<.05ㆍmother F=5.31, p<.01). That is, the younger students can communicate with their mothers more often than the older ones. In sibling cases, two sisters have more openly communication to parents while two brothers have(F=2.84, p<.05). Students communicate with their parents regardless of parents' academic background. But those from the family in harmony have more open chance to communicate than those who are not in hamony(father F=21.66, p<.001ㆍmother F=13.37, p<.001). They can comm -unicate with their parents better when their fathers hug them than when they didn't get hugs(father t=-4.76, p<.001ㆍ mother t= -2.34, p<.05). They can also communicate with their patents better when their mothers hug them once or more than when they didn't get hugs(father t=-3.78, p<.001ㆍmother t=-5.64, p<.001). 3) There is no difference whether the father hugs or not, but the mother's hug is very important because students whose mothers hug them once or more have significantly more gender egalitarianism than those students whose mothers didn't do(t=-3.98, p<.001). Based upon these results, it is recommended that we reconsider the role of gender in the socialization of high school students and also include gender egalitarianism in sex education. In this context, further study should be done for the improvement of students' communication within the framework of egalitarianism based upon parents' hugs(semi-language). Continued study is especially important in regards to the mother's hug and its enhancement of the students' gender egalitarianism.

This study examined the factors affecting clinical practice adaptation to provide basic data for the improvement of clinical practice adaptation for the first year of clinical practice. The subjects were 153 nursing students and medical students in G-do. Data were collected from April 1 to April 30, 2019, and analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using IBM SPSS WIN/21.0. The mean of college adjustment, character, interpersonal competence, communicative competence, and clinical practice adaptation was 3.37 points, 3.82, 3.61, 3.56, and 3.54, respectively. Clinical practice adaptation was related to college adjustment, character, interpersonal competence, and communicative competence (p<.001). The most influential factor in clinical practice was interpersonal competence (β=.502, p<.001), followed by department adaptation (β=-.215, p<.001) and college adjustment (β=.174, p=.010), respectively. The explanatory power was 41.1% (F=34.11, p<.001). Therefore, a way to improve interpersonal competence is needed to advance clinical practice adaptation. In the character building program for adjustment to college life, systematic education is needed, including the opportunity to think about and understand oneself, continuous meeting to understand and accept others. In addition, repeated communication training to improve interpersonal competence is needed.
