  • Here, by using the symbolical method introduced by Burchnall and Chaundy, we aim at constructing certain expansion formulas for the generalized hypergeometric function $_pF_q$. In addition, using our expansion formulas for $_pF_q$, we present formulas of an analytic continuation of the Clausen hypergeometric function $_3F_2$, which are much simpler than an earlier known result. We also give some integral representations for $_3F_2$.

  • The main aim of this paper is to introduce an extension of the generalized ${\tau}$-Gauss hypergeometric function $_rF^{\tau}_s(z)$ and investigate various properties of the new function such as integral representations, derivative formulas, Laplace transform, Mellin trans-form and fractional calculus operators. Some of the interesting special cases of our main results have been discussed.

  • Integrals involving a finite product of the generalized Bessel functions have recently been studied by Choi et al. [2, 3]. Motivated by these results, we establish certain unified integral formulas involving a finite product of the generalized k-Bessel functions. Also, we consider some integral formulas of the (p, q)-extended Bessel functions $J_{{\nu},p,q}(z)$ and the Delerue hyper-Bessel function which are proved in terms of (p, q)-extended generalized hypergeometric functions, and the generalized Wright hypergeometric functions, respectively.

  • This paper continues the study of recursion formulas of multivariable hypergeometric functions. Earlier, in [4], the authors have given the recursion formulas for three variable Lauricella functions, Srivastava's triple hypergeometric functions and k-variable Lauricella functions. Further, in [5], we have obtained recursion formulas for the general triple hypergeometric function. We present here the recursion formulas for Exton's triple hypergeometric functions.

  • Very recently Professor Exton derived an interesting hypergeometric generating relation. The authors aim at deriving another hypergeometric generating relation by using the same technique developed by Exton. Some interesting special cases have also been given.

  • This paper considers a class of new convolution integral equations whose kernels involve special functions such as the generalized Mittag-Leffler function and the extended Kummer hypergeometric function. Some basic properties of interconnection with the familiar Riemann-Liouville operators are obtained which are used in fiding the solution of the main convolution integral equation. Several consequences are deduced from the main result by incorporating certain extended forms of hypergeometric functions in our present investigation.

  • Integral transforms and fractional integral formulas involving well-known special functions are interesting in themselves and play important roles in their diverse applications. A large number of integral transforms and fractional integral formulas have been established by many authors. In this paper, we aim at establishing some (presumably) new integral transforms and fractional integral formulas for the generalized hypergeometric type function which has recently been introduced by Luo et al. [9]. Some interesting special cases of our main results are also considered.

  • Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) is an efficient technology to increase data rate in wireless networks due to bandwidth and power limitations. Data transmission rate between transmitter and receiver is determined by channel capacity. MIMO has an advantage of reliable communication over wireless channel because of utilizing the channel capacity properly. In this letter, we drive a new formula, closed form capacity formula, using confluent hypergeometric function.

  • The aim of this note is to provide two new and interesting closed-form evaluations of the generalized hypergeometric function 5F4 with argument $\frac{1}{256}$. This is achieved by means of separating a generalized hypergeometric function into even and odd components together with the use of two known sums (one each) involving reciprocals of binomial coefficients obtained earlier by Trif and Sprugnoli. In the end, the results are written in terms of two interesting combinatorial identities.
