장애노인의 장애특성이 차별인식에 미치는 영향 - 여가활동의 매개효과를 중심으로 - (The Influence of the Characteristics of Disability on Older Adults' Perception of Discrimination : A Mediating Effect of Leisure Activities)

  • 본 연구는 장애노인의 장애특성이 개인적 차별인식에 미치는 영향에 관해 여가활동의 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2005년도 장애인 실태조사 대상자 중 여가생활을 하는 65세 이상의 신체장애노인 1,241명을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애특성과 개인적 차별인식의 관계에서 장애유형, 장애발생시점, IADL이 영향요인으로 검증되었다. 둘째, 장애특성과 여가유형과의 관계에서, 장애특성 중 IADL이 영향요인이었다. 셋째, 장애노인의 장애특성이 개인적 차별인식에 미치는 영향에 있어, 여가유형이 부분 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 차별인식 경감을 위해 여가활동에 대한 사회적 개입의 필요성에 대한 근거를 마련하고, 장애노인의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 여가라는 개인적 욕구와 차별이라는 사회적 이슈를 함께 고려하여 사회복지적 함의를 찾는다는 데 의의가 있다.

Exercise Using Isokinetic Strength Training Equipment and Physical Function Improvement

  • Objective: This study aims to explore the relationship between isokinetic strength training and the enhancement of physical function in older adults. It also evaluates the effectiveness of isokinetic strength training equipment. Method: This study randomly divided twenty healthy adults into two groups.The experimental group engaged in isokinetic strength training for 30 minutes, three times a week, over a four-week period. In contrast, the control group did not participate in any exercise regimen. We assessed several outcome measures including physical functions (sit-to-stand test, flexibility, Timed Up and Go test), grip strength, balance, thigh circumference, the Korean version of the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), and the Korean version of the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC). Additionally, the experimental group's self-perceived improvement in lower limb condition was evaluated using the Global Rating of Change (GROC) scale. Results: The experimental group showed significant improvements compared to the control group in various aspects: reduced sit-to-stand test duration (7.00±2.05 seconds), increased flexibility (4.69±3.90 cm), improved grip strength (1.54±1.74 kg), increased thigh circumference (left: 1.29±1.19 cm, right: 1.19±1.27 cm), enhanced Timed Up and Go test performance (-1.47±0.86 seconds), better balance (eyes open stance: -8.08±4.03 cm, eyes closed stance: -0.27±0.13 cm/s), and a decrease in depression severity (-0.15±1.51 points). Furthermore, significant increases were observed in the experimental group's maximal isokinetic strength at 90°/s for both flexion (19.62±7.03 Nm) and extension (19.60±14.65 Nm) over the study period. Conclusion: The findings suggest that isokinetic strength training equipment can significantly enhance physical functions in seniors when incorporated into an exercise regimen.

  • 본 연구는 재가 노인의 MCI(경도인지장애) 예방을 위한 재활 운동을 활성화하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. AI, 메타버스와 재활 운동을 융합함으로써 농어촌 등의 의료 취약 지역사회에서의 재활 운동 연계를 활성화하고 운동 데이터를 구축하여 통합적 건강 관리가 될 수 있게 하는 의료와 재활 운동의 통합적인 서비스를 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 이를 위하여 AI, 메타버스와 재활 운동의 융합적 기대효과로 전문가들의 학제적 참여와 인지기능 향상 및 근골격계 기능향상을 위한 유형별 게임 및 재활 운동치료 메뉴얼 제작 보급과 재가 노인에게 필요로 하는 재활 운동프로그램을 체계화하고, 체력 평가 개발 및 운영과 교육이 확대되어 나갈 수 있으며, 치매 조기 예방에 큰 도움이 될 것이다.

만성통증 노인의 삶의 질에 대한 심리적 영향요인에 관한 연구 (A Study of Psychological Factors on the Quality of Life in the Elderly with Chronic Pain)

  • 본 연구는 만성통증 노인의 우울, 두려움-회피신념, 파국적사고와 삶의 질의 관계를 확인하고 우울, 두려움-회피신념, 파국적사고와 같은 심리적 요인이 만성통증 노인의 삶의 질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 대상자는 2019년 3월 4일부터 2019년 3월 18일까지 A시 소재의 일개 신경과통증의학과 의원을 방문한 65세 이상 만성통증 노인 147명을 대상으로 하였다. 통계처리는 SPSS/WIN 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 t-test와 ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, 다중 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 만성통증 노인의 일반적 특성에 따른 삶의 질 차이에서 연령(F=3.464, p<.001), 배우자(t=4.545, p<.001), 건강상태(F=31.04, p<.001), 통증정도(F=14.76, p<.001)에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 만성통증 노인의 삶에 질 예측요인을 분석한 결과 우울(${\beta}=-.25$, p<.001) 통증정도(${\beta}=.25$, p<.001), 파국적사고(${\beta}=-.28$, p<.001), 건강상태(${\beta}=-.19$, p<.001)가 영향요인으로 나타났고 전체설명력은 49 %이다. 따라서 만성통증 노인의 삶의 질 향상을 위해서 우울, 파국적사고와 같은 부정적인 심리적 영향 요인에 대한 연구가 더욱 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 적극적인 통증조절 및 건강상태를 긍정적으로 인식할 수 있도록 체계화된 간호중재 프로그램 개발이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

건강신념모델에 근거한 노인 대상 식품안전·영양교육 프로그램 효과 평가 (Food Safety and Nutrition Education Program for Elderly and Assessment of Program Effectiveness Based on Health Belief Model)

  • 노인은 면역취약집단으로 다른 인구 집단보다 만성질환과 식품매개 질병에 걸릴 위험이 크며 식행동은 오랜 세월 굳어져 왔기 때문에 변화하기가 쉽지 않다. 노인을 대상으로 건강신념모델을 적용하여 식품안전 영양교육 프로그램을 시범 적용하고 그 효과를 평가하였다. 식품안전 영양 시범 교육은 서울 마포, 충북 청주, 경북 의성, 충북 진천의 노인복지관을 이용하는 65세 이상 노인을 대상으로 2011년 7월 28일부터 9월 9일까지 총 5주간 매주 1회, 35~40분씩 교육을 시행하였다. 교육 전후 조사가 완료된 최종 연구대상은 교육군이 5회 교육 중 3회 이상 교육에 참여하고 교육 전후 평가를 마친 대상자로 137명, 대조군은 사후 설문조사를 하지 않거나 불성실한 응답자를 제외한 83명으로 총 220명이었다. 교육은 건강신념모델을 적용하여 노인들이 식습관을 변화하지 않을 경우 질병 가능성을 알려 심각성을 인지하도록 하였으며 노인들이 식행동 수정 시 얻게 되는 이들을 알려주고 행동을 실행할 수 있도록 자아효능감을 제공해주고자 하였다. 교육 후 식품안전 영양지식은 모든 항목에서 향상을 보였으며, 식품안전 영역 5문항 중 4문항, 영양 영역 3문항 중 2문항에서는 유의적인 향상을 보였다. 식행동은 교육군에서 '고기, 생선류는 조리 시 속까지 완전히 익힌다'를 제외한 모든 항목에서 유의적인 향상을 보였다. 건강신념은 식품안전의 영역에서는 인지된 심각성과 자아효능감, 영양 영역에서는 인지된 민감성, 인지된 장애, 자아효능감에서 유의적인 향상을 보였다. 지식, 식행동, 건강신념 변화량의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 건강신념의 변화량과 식행동의 변화 가능성 간의 유의적인 상관관계를 보였다(P<0.001). 본 연구의 참여 대상자들이 일반 재가 노인보다 복지관에서 봉사하거나 활동하는 노인이었기 때문에 표본의 대표성이 떨어져 결과를 일반화하기에 어려움이 있다. 또한, 교육기간이 5주로 비교적 짧았기 때문에 오랜 기간에 걸쳐 형성된 식행동이 쉽게 변화하거나 개선되기 어려우므로 장기간에 걸친 반복교육이 필요할 것으로 생각한다. 본 연구에서 개발된 교육프로그램을 향후 보건소나 복지관 등을 통해 지속해서 시행 된다면 노인의 식품안전 영양에 대한 인식을 높이고 바람직한 식행동 변화에 긍정적인 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

치위생과 학생들의 전공교육 및 직업관에 대한 의식 조사 연구 (A Study on Dental Hygiene Students' Consciousness about Course Education and their Occupation)

  • For the purpose of strengthening Dental Hygiene students' confidence and motivation in the Dental Hygiene Department and helping construct proper professionalism, survey on Dental Hygiene students' consciousness of attitude to and satisfaction of the course, career plan and occupation mind set was carried out. 530 three year students in 8 Dental Hygiene academies in Seoul and Kyonggi province were questioned. The results of the survery are as follows:. 1. Dental Hygiene students' motives consisted primarily of employment and a desire for professionalism 25% of them entered the course after one failure in the entrance examination and 17% had family members engaging in the dentistry field 84%, the largest portion, were from an academic high school. 24% had some knowledge of Dental Hygiene, which they had acquired from seniors, friends, and teachers. 2. Patient care and treatment assistance related matters were not considered important in the course. The weak points of the course turned out to be education in computers and foreign languages, but the weakest was the ability of patient care during clinical training. 53% had experiences had thought of changing their major while in the course because it didn't match their aptitude and interest. 3. As for a career after graduation, 49% worried about it Most students wanted to work at a dental hospital or general hospital, The most favored duty was coordination or reception or oral disease preventive work. They wanted to work untill they had a stable living. 68% answered they would get a job at an oral clinic and 70% said they would continue studying for self-realization. 4. Satisfaction with the major was high in students whose aptitude and interest matched the course, who had background knowledge of the major, and who. didn't think of changing the major but would continue studying resulting in statistically slight difference(p<0.001). As to satisfaction with the faculties, it was high in the students whose aptitude and interest matched the major and who didn't think about a career after graduation showing a slight difference(p<05, p<0l). As for satisfaction with clinical training, students whose aptitude and interest matched the major and who didn't consider changing the major answered positively showing a statistically slight difference(p<.001, p<.01). As to satisfaction with the course, it was high in the students who entered with aptitude and interest, who had preliminary knowledge, who didn't consider changing the major, and who didn't think about a career after graduation showing a statistically slight difference(p<.001, p<.05). 5. Occupation mind-set was positive for students who entered with interest and aptitude, who had preliminary knowledge, and who had not considered changing the major showing a statistically slight difference(P<.001). The higher the satisfaction with the major, faculty and clinical training was, the more positive the occupation mind-set was(p<.001).

일부 치위생과 재학생의 학과선택 만족도 및 취업의식변화 (Satisfaction with Department Selection and Changes in a Sense of Employment Among Some Students Majoring in Dental Hygiene)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze motivation of entrance into the college, knowledge prior to the entrance, satisfaction with their major, and a sense of employment after graduation among students majoring in dental hygiene at some colleges and subdivide them by grades for comparative analysis to determine the progress of changes in general characteristics, department satisfaction, and a sense of employment among students majoring in dental hygiene for the recent three years and provide basic data for improving dental hygienic education. Questionnaires were distributed to 520 students majoring in dental hygiene at some college in South Chungcheong, South Jeolla, and North Jeolla Provinces, followed by explanation of the purport of the research and the content of the questionnaire; after completion, 513 copies were used for analysis with exception of 7 copies with insincere responses. The analysis of the data examined resulted in the following conclusions: First, Changes in Department Satisfaction among Students Majoring in Dental Hygiene As for motivation of entrance into a college, less and less students chose the department of dental hygiene through recommendation by parents or seniors while more and more students chose their major due to easy employment. Less and less students obtained information on the department from a college application guidebook while more and more students obtained it through Internet. There was also a gradual increase in prior knowledge about the department and in satisfaction with their major. More and more students had no will to change their course. Second, Changes in a Sense of Employment among Students Majoring in Dental Hygiene There was a gradual decrease in the number of students who would follow friends' or their own decision in selecting workplace but an increase in the number of those who would follow their professors' opinion. There was a gradual increase in the number of students who wanted to be employed in workplace with good social perception; many students wanted to be employed in a personal dental clinic, a general hospital, or a public health center; and more and more students also wanted to be employed in a school dental health center or to become a government official or an educator.

치위생과 학생들의 치과위생사 이미지에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구 (A study on influential factors for dental hygiene students' image of dental hygienist)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine dental hygiene students' image of dental hygienist and factors affecting the image of dental hygienist in an effort to provide some information useful for dental hygiene education. It's basically meant to recreate the image of dental hygienist as a professional. Methods : The subjects in this study were 310 sophomores and seniors who ere selected by convenience sampling from three different three-year-course colleges located in Gyeonggi Province, Chungcheong Province and Gwangju. After a survey was conducted, the answer sheets from 277 respondents were analyzed except for 33 incomplete ones. The collected data were analyzed with a SPSSWIN 17.0 program, and statistical data on frequency and percentage were obtained to find out the general characteristics of the subjects, and another statistical data on mean and standard deviation for each item were acquired to check their image of dental hygienist. Besides, t-test, ANOVA and Kruscal-Wallis test, one of nonparametric test, were utilized to look for connections between their general characteristics and image of dental hygienist. Results : 1. They gave a mean of 3.53 to the image of dental hygienist, which showed that the dental hygiene students took a favorable view of dental hygienists in general. 2. Their response to four items showed that they looked at the image of dental hygienist in a positive manner. The four items respectively described dental hygienists as professionals, as ones who played a crucial role in the improvement of national oral health, as ones with professional knowledge and sophisticated knowhow, and as neat and decent people. And their response to the following five items indicated that they looked at the image of dental hygienists in a negative way. One was that dental hygienists were considered to be dental nurses, and another was that the occupation of dental hygienist was a demanding and stressful job. The third was that there was no single, fixed title to call dental hygienists, and the fourth was that dental hygiene wasn't recognized as an independent area. The fifth was that the social standing of dental hygienists was sort of high. 3. In regard to the impact of the general characteristics of the dental hygiene students on their image of dental hygienist, they had a more favorable image of dental hygienist when they perceived dental hygiene in a more positive manner(p<0.001). Conclusions : In order to boost the image of dental hygienist, the working conditions of dental hygienists should be improved, and educational programs should be prepared to provided them extended continuing educational opportunities. And the kind of educational environments that could nurture dental hygienists who are convinced and have a vision should be created.

간호대학생의 카데바 실습일지에 대한 내용분석 (A Qualitative Content Analysis of Journals for Cadaver Practice Experiences in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 카데바 실습교육 일지를 이용하여 카데바 실습교육의 경험을 확인하고자 시도하였다. 자료 수집 기간은 2016년 10월 26일부터 10월 28일까지이다. 연구 참여자는 D시 소재 D대학 간호학과 2학년 재학생으로 카데바 실습교육에 참여한 20명이다. 자료는 연구 참여자들이 카데바 실습교육 기간 동안 매일 일지를 작성하도록 하였다. 연구 참여자들은 자신의 경험을 용지에 익명으로 기술하도록 하였다. 자료의 분석은 질적 내용분석 방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과 3개의 영역에서 8개 범주와 21개의 의미 있는 진술을 도출하였다. 카데바 실습교육에 참여한 간호대학생의 경험은 '불안', '몰입', '성찰'의 영역으로 나타났다. '불안' 영역에서는 '걱정됨', '두려움', '놀라움'이 포함되었으며, '몰입' 영역에서는 '흥미로움', '집중함', '알아감' 등이 포함되었다. 또한 '성찰' 영역에서는 '존엄', '감사' 등으로 범주화 되었다. 따라서 카데바 실습교육 전 간호대학생의 심리적 지지와 불안 완화를 위해 상담 및 카데바 실습교육을 경험 한 선배와의 집단상담 프로그램의 제공이 필요하다. 또한 본 연구는 간호대학생의 카데바 실습교육 프로그램 개발에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.

일반간호사의 조직 내 의사소통 유형과 직무만족 및 간호업무성과의 관계 (Relations Between the Types of Communication and, Job Satisfaction and Nursing Performance in Staff Nurses)

  • This study attempts to investigate the relations between the types of communication, the job satisfaction. and the nursing performance of the staff nurses. The subjects of this study were the 114 nurses working in general wards, intensive care units, and the emergency rooms of the general hospital in Kyongbuk province. They were asked to answer the questionnaires as regards the types of communication and job satisfaction, and their performance of nursing, and these were evaluated by the head nurses, and their direct seniors. The data were collected for 10 days from the September 17 to 26, 2002. According to the purpose of the study, descriptive analysis, ANOVA. Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression were applied for the data analysis using SPSS 10.0. The results are as follows : 1. The types of communication of staff nurses showed that the upward communication was $3.12\pm0.56$. the downward communication was $3.56\pm0.42$. the horizontal communication was $2.98\pm0.44$. and the informal communication was $2.59\pm0.49$. It showed that the most frequent communication was the downward communication. 2. In terms of the job satisfaction, there was significant difference according to the length of the period working for one ward (F=5.95, p=0.003), 3. The performance of nursing was significantly different according to the age (F=23.52, p=0.000), the working duration as a nurses (F=21.9, p=0.000), the types of nursing unit (F=5.33, p=0.002), and the working duration in present nursing unit (F=15.87, p=0.000). 4. In terms of communication type, the job satisfaction was associated with quality of the upward communication (F=6.23, p=0.003), the downward communication (F=5.78, p=0.004), and the horizontal communication (F=11.73, p=0.000) There were no association between the types of communication and the performance of nursing. 5. There was a positive correlation between the communication and the job satisfaction. And the downward communication (r=0.398) showed the greatest correlation with the job satisfaction. There was no statistically significant correlation between the communication and the performance of nursing. And the upward communication (r=-0.058) showed a negative, though not significant correlation with performance of nursing. 5. There was a positive correlation between the communication and the job satisfaction. And the downward communication (r=0.398) showed the greatest correlation with the job satisfaction.
