  • In life testing problem, many authors obtained the minimum variance unbiased estimator of $P_r$[X>Y] for the exponential family generally and conceptually. In this paper, we study the maximum likelihood estimator and minimum variance unbiased estimator of $P_r$[X>Y] in exponential X and normal Y.

  • In this paper cellular neutral networks with time-varying delays and continuously distributed delays are considered. Without assuming the global Lipschitz conditions of activation functions, some sufficient conditions for the existence and exponential stability of the almost periodic solutions are established by using the fixed point theorem and differential inequality techniques. The results of this paper are new and complement previously known results.

  • In this paper, we investigate an initial boundary value problem for a nonlinear pseudoparabolic equation. At first, by applying the Faedo-Galerkin, we prove local existence and uniqueness results. Next, by constructing Lyapunov functional, we establish a sufficient condition to obtain the global existence and exponential decay of weak solutions.

  • Let ℝ be the set of real numbers, f, g : ℝ → ℝ and ≥ 0. In this paper, we consider the stability of partially pexiderized exponential-radical functional equation $$f({\sqrt[n]{x^N+y^N}})=f(x)g(y)$$ for all x, y ∈ ℝ, i.e., we investigate the functional inequality $$\|f({\sqrt[n]{x^N+y^N}})-f(x)g(y)\|{\leq}{\epsilon}$$ for all x, y ∈ ℝ.

  • We study the existence and long-time behavior of weak solutions to a class of strongly degenerate semilinear parabolic equations with exponential nonlinearities on ℝN. To overcome some significant difficulty caused by the lack of compactness of the embeddings, the existence of a global attractor is proved by combining the tail estimates method and the asymptotic a priori estimate method.

  • In this study, we show that the strong exponential limit shadowing property (SELmSP, for short), which has been recently introduced, exists on a neighborhood of a hyperbolic set of a diffeomorphism. We also prove that Ω-stable diffeomorphisms and 𝓛-hyperbolic homeomorphisms have this type of shadowing property. By giving examples, it is shown that this type of shadowing is different from the other shadowings, and the chain transitivity and chain mixing are not necessary for it. Furthermore, we extend this type of shadowing property to positively expansive maps with the shadowing property.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide meaningful information for various stakeholders' decision-making process through forecasting of domestic beef demand. Three different exponential smoothing models were evaluated, and a double exponential smoothing model was used to forecast domestic beef demand based on time-series data, As a result of the forecast, domestic beef consumption is expected to increase by 37,000 to 40,000 tons per year from 2020 to 2025.

  • Two-piece double exponential distribution (TPDE) with one piece $(X \leq 0)$ having the scale parameter $\theta_1$ while the other piece (X>0) having $\theta_2$ is considered here. Distribution of the sum of n-independent variables from such a distribution is obtained. Special cases of this distribution are also treated. Next, distribution of the ratio of two independent (TPDE) variables is derived. As an extension, distribution of $x_1/x_2x_3$ is expressed terms of hypergeometric functions. A small table gives the power of the test regarding double exponential against (TPDE).
