  • This study is to find countermeasures of facility space according to the development of new educational program and the opening of education market from the renewal of existing facilities. The renewal is consider as the worldwide trend for enhancing added value of the facilities in economic side of educational facilities as well as educational contents. This study selects six from 94 elementary schools in Kwangju-city to examine our educational conditions, understand using conditions and recognition of existing space and possibility of the recycle. The hypothesis that recognition of existing facility space in school may be varied according to physical conditions of children is made in four sides, six elements and two trends are extracted and then life pattern, size, sense of materials and cognition of three types of passage space are analyzed. Accordingly, this study obtains such results that passage space is life space having strong place concept and there is the possibility of renewal of existing school building facilities corresponding to multipurpose of school facilities.

  • Open education has brought about new concept and variation in educational quality , schools have adopted open education since mid 1980s. Since then ,open education has developed in Korea, but do not fit to the Korean educational situation without some modification in educational space. In the study, some theoretical backgrounds of open education reviewed from some literature were applied, and introduced the flexibility of the open education, some results of the analysis of flexibility space and furniture system. The purpose of this study is to suggest some of direction in the open education space for more advanced Korean education situation.

창의적 융합교육에 의한 교육환경 공간 변화에 관한 연구 - 창의성 촉발의 탈중심적 및 사건적 공간을 중심으로 - (A Study on Space Education Environment Changes due to the Fusion of Creative Education)

  • 본 연구는 시대적으로 글로벌 지식기반 사회가 정착되면서 학교를 중심으로 하는 교육정책 영역은 다양성과 자율성을 보장하게 되고 모방형 인재가 아닌 미래성장 동력인 창조적 인적자본의 육성을 절실히 필요하게 되었다. 그러나 현재 한국의 교육환경은 여전히 입시교육 위주의 지필평가를 위한 교육정책과 학생들의 흥미나 즐거움을 유발하지 못하는 학교교육으로 인해 창의적 인재를 양성해야하는 글로벌 지식사회에 대응하지 못하는 상황에 직면하고 있다. 이를 극복하기 위한 2015 개정 교육과정은 물론 자유학기제 등을 강조하는 교육정책과 더불어 학교는 창의적 융합교육 환경을 조성해야할 시점이다. 본 연구의 목적은 미래지식사회에 상호 관계적 연계성을 중요시하는 특성과 포스트모더니즘이후 현대철학 사상에 나타난 인간에 대한 탈중심적 사유를 통한 창의성 촉발을 중요한 생성론적 특징으로 언급한 철학자 질 들뢰즈의 교육과 공간담론의 개념적 사유로 창의적 교육공간 특성을 이해하고 서로의 상호 연관관계를 드러내고 있다. 그러므로 현대 구조주의적 사상을 근본으로 하는 현대 철학적 사유를 통한 창의적 학교는 구성원들의 탈중심적인 협력 중점의 융합적 교육과정 및 학교 운영의 자율성이 중심이 되는 창의성 교육환경, 즉 환경공간의 속성으로서 다변화적 지원공간, 유동적 실외공간, 연계적 중심공간, 사건적 상황에 따른 다양한 종류 및 규모 공간, 개방적 공간 및 융합적 공간이 다양한 교육공간 요소와 함께 구성되어짐을 볼 수 있다.

학교건축의 복도(複道) 계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Architectural Design of Student Circulation Space)

  • The architectural design of student circulation space has a pronounced influence on the educational function of a school building. Recent curriculum and new teaching methods have required the sufficient space provided for circulation and various circulation spaces in a school building, such as elevator, pilotis, bridge, atrium, deck, lobby and locker room. However excessive circulation space is wasteful form the standpoint of both initial investment and operation. This study aims to investigate new circulation patterns and functions, and to propose the adequate size in planning a school corridor. For this purpose, it explores the recent trends of the corridor planning represented in the excellent school facilities in 2002. and analyzes the newly-added functions In the school corridor : architectural in-between space, dwelling space for ordinary activities, space for educational media and auxiliary learning space. This research recommends that the corridor width be carefully planned according to the supposed functions in order to achieve the efficiency in the design of school facilities.

  • Most of the unused facility in urban areas is perceived as an unreasonable space that damages cityscapes. However, unused space has the advantage of having historical value and potential for new development. In consideration of this, various plans have recently been made in terms of cultural use of unused space. The core is the performing arts culture space where various expressions can be expressed. Changes in the educational space that meet the various conditions required in future societies are also one of the topics to be discussed. In this study, we analyze the performance facilities utilizing the unused space and study the direction of educational facilities based on performance.

  • The article examines the process of professional training in educational institutions, media technologies and methods of media communication in the educational space of the institution, characterizes the place of media technologies in the educational space in the context of the term "educational space" itself, systematizes the methods of media communications in education. The peculiarities of media education as a set of means and methods of teaching young people adequate media perception are pointed out.

  • The purpose of this study is to plan a environment for creative education in university campus. According to the literature review, the necessity of improvement of educational program and physical environment is increasing because of rapidly social and industrial structure change. In this aspect, G university decided to make space for creative education utilizing unused space in campus. The space design concept was established as a cell based on the fact that the educational space was a place where students grow up and was named GNU IDEA Factory. The planning site was decided on the existing piloti to solve problems of lack budget and space. This space consisted of rooms for creative education, autonomous students' activity, and exhibition and was designed by organistic structure. In conclusion it was thought that GNU IDEA Factory would be a case of environment for creative education and activity if it was supported proper program and usable equipments.

도시확장에 따른 진해의 교육시설배치특징에 관한 연구 -도로구조의 공간통사론적 해석을 중심으로- (A Study on the Disposition Characteristics of Educational Facilities due to the Expansion of Jinhae - Focused on the Space Syntax Analysis of the Street Composition -)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of layout of Jinhae's educational facilities from the perspective of space syntactic changes since the era of Japanese Imperialism. The observations that we made in this research are summarized as the following three points. First, most of the educational facilities are located near the integrated space. Axes of roads near educational facilities display similar spatial patterns as those of entire Jinhae. Second, the level of local integration has been rising near the site of elementary schools for the past decades, and the level of local integration near middle and high schools recently began to rise around the new town. Third, the level of integration is strongly related with the levels of local integration, and the locations of educational facilities are also related with the level of local integration. It implies that the locations of educational facilities are determined not by Jinhae's overall street composition but by nearby road composition.

중등학교 시설에서의 커뮤니티공간 연구 (Towards the Community Space for Secondary School)

  • The opportunity provided for design method and strategy of community space for secondary school through the experience of public library and gallery, is the purpose of this paper. Community space is an important issue in school architecture as it seeks to revive the public area in educational building and to renew the open space as a multi-entertainment space. The latest works of school, however, which are evaluated as well reflected the reality of educational patterns, are still deficient in that communicational elements in school are underdeveloped and inadequate. The cases of this paper, which are grown up as entertainment library and multi-purpose cultural space such as Seattle Public Library, Sendai Mediatech, Tate Modem Gallery, and Kunsthaus, are suitable to offer the method of the creation of community space for school. This paper reviews an assessment of its success in community space for school architecture with multi-entertainment-purpose library and cultural space connected open space and concludes with the establishment of design method for future school; extraction of the factors contributing to development of community space in school and proposal of design method; implementation of school renewal with library and gallery plus open space for the creation of identity considering both of study and play.

  • 본 연구는 사용자 교육적 가치의 중요성을 목표로하는 학교공간혁신의 개념 연구를 통하여 학교공간이 학생들의 교육활동을 중심으로 하는 국가수준의 교육자치 목표 및 기본가치와 상호관계성 연계 정도에 대하여 사용자를 중심으로 조사·분석을 하고자 하였다. 이는 교육자치 혁신 교육과정과 학교 자치적 다양한 교육활동과 연계된 학생, 교사 즉 수요자의 요구도 분석을 통해 수요자 중심 즉 수요자의 요구가 최대한 반영되는 학교공간혁신 연계 방안 등을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 교육자치 혁신과 학교공간 혁신의 기본개념 고찰과 국가수준의 2015개정 교육과정과 교육자치 혁신과정에 대한 문헌조사 및 교육목표, 교육과정의 기본가치 인식 조사를 실시하였으며, 원도심지역 학생, 교사를 대상으로 교육의 기본가치, 학교교육의 기능, 학교환경 및 공간 구성 방향, 학교공간에 대한 조사분석으로 학생과 교사의 인식도를 파악하고자 하였다.
