For a ring R with an automorphism ${\sigma}$, an n-additive mapping ${\Delta}:R{\times}R{\times}{\cdots}{\times}R{\rightarrow}R$ is called a skew n-derivation with respect to ${\sigma}$ if it is always a ${\sigma}$-derivation of R for each argument. Namely, if n - 1 of the arguments are fixed, then ${\Delta}$ is a ${\sigma}$-derivation on the remaining argument. In this short note, from Bre$\check{s}$ar Theorems, we prove that a skew n-derivation ($n{\geq}3$) on a semiprime ring R must map into the center of R.

A new adder-and-accumulator (A$^2$C) adapted to pipelined Δ$\Sigma$ modulators is proposed in this paper. With the viewpoint of area consumption, registers are removed in the existing pipelined Δ$\Sigma$ modulator, and then adder and accumulator are merged. In order to optimize area consumption, speed and power consumption, dynamic carry look-ahead adder (CLA) is adopted in $A^2$C. Moreover, a guideline for the transistor sizing in CLA with regard to the minimization of the energy-delay-area product (EDAP) is proposed[1]. The proposed $A^2$C has been verified by HSPICE simulations.

In this paper the influence of postweld heat treatment on mechanical properties of SMAW and FCAW stainless steel weldments was examined and the obtained results are as follows ; (1) The amount of $\delta$-ferrite formed by SMAW and FCAW process decreased with increasing holding temperature and time in post weld heat treatment(PWHT), and it was found that the reduced ferrite was transformed into sigma phase after $800^{circ}C{\times}50hr$ PWHT. This sigma phase, even though it was very small, resulted in brittleness of dissimilar weldment between carbon steel and stainless steel in bending test, however in similar weldment between stainless steel and stainless steel was not occured. (2) The chemical composition of sigma phase was measured to 28-30%Cr, 7-9%Mo, 4-6Ni in 316L weldment, and also 35-37%Cr, 0.9-1.0Mo, 6-8%Ni in 309L weldment by EDS analysis.

오버샘플링(oversampling) 방식의 시그마-델타(sigma-delta) A/D 컨버터에서는 오버샘플링된 신호를 최종 Nyquist rate 으로 낮춰주는 디지털 데시메이션 필터가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 면적을 크게 줄이면서 time-to-market의 이점을 가져다주는 고해상도 시그마-델타(sigma-delta) A/D 컨버터용 디지털 데시메이션(decimation) 필터의 Verilog-HDL 설계 및 구현을 보였다. 디지털 데시메이션 필터는 CIC(cascaded integrator-comb) filter와 두 개의 half-band FIR filter로 이루어져 있다. FIR필터에서 곱셈연산의 복잡성을 줄이고 면적을 최소화하기 위해 계수를 CSD(canonical signed digit) 코드로 표현하여 사용하였다. 곱셈 연산은 일반 곱셈기 없이 쉬프트 와 덧셈방식을 이용하여 구현되었다. 3단 데시메이션 필터는 $0.25-{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정으로 제작되었고, 필터의 면적은 $1.36mm^2$ 이며 2.8224 MHz의 클럭 주파수에서 4.4 mW의 파워소모를 보였다. 측정 결과 높은 신호대 잡음 비(SNR)를 요구하는 디지털 오디오용 데시메이션(decimation) 필터의 사양을 충분히 만족시키고 있음을 볼 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 OSR=25에서 1 [MHz] 신호 대역폭, 12-비트 해상도를 만족하는 SOSOC $\Sigma$-Δ길 변조기 설계를 위하여 아날로그 비이상성 허용범위를 조사하였다. 공급전압 3.3 [V]에서 사양을 만족하는 $\Sigma$-Δ 변조기 설계를 위하여 우선 저전압에 적합한 SOSOC $\Sigma$-Δ 변조기 모델과 이득계수를 구하였다. 그리고 아날로그 비이상성인 증폭기 유한한 이득, SR, 폐루프 극점, 스위치 ON 저항 그리고 캐패시터 부정합과 같은 $\Sigma$-Δ 변조기의 성능 저하 요인들을 이상적인 $\Sigma$-Δ 변조기 모델에 첨가하여 $\Sigma$-Δ 변조기의 성능 예측과 비 이상성의 허용범위를 규정하였다. 이를 토대로 사양을 만족하는 $\Sigma$-Δ 변조기 설계 시 $\Sigma$-Δ 변조기를 구성하는 회로의 사양에 대한 지침과 $\Sigma$-Δ 변조기의 성능을 예측 할 수 있다.

본 연구에서는 다짐 재료의 강도특성에 나타나는 이방성과 그 정도를 명확히 밝히기 위해 다짐 재료로 널리 사용되는 화강풍화토를 이용해 포화, 불포화 상태에서 삼축압축시험을 실시했다. 공시체는 다짐도 $D_c$=90%가 되도록 다짐한 후 ${\sigma}_1$ 방향과 퇴적면이 이루는 각도로 정의되는 ${\delta}$가 $0^{\circ}C$, $45^{\circ}C$, $90^{\circ}C$가 되도록 제작되었다. 실험결과, 불포화토의 전단강도에 미치는 흡입력(suction)의 기여율에는 ${\delta}$ 의존성이 확인되지 않았고, 다짐재료의 전단강도에 나타나는 이방성은 포화시보다 불포화시에 현저히 나타나는 것으로 평가되었다. 또한 실험을 통해 도출된 결과를 이용해, ${\sigma}_1$ 방향과 퇴적면과 이루는 각도 ${\delta}$가 서로 다른 불포화토의 전단강도를 간단히 추정할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다.

We consider the growth norm of a measurable function f defined by defined by $${\parallel}f{\parallel}-\sigma=ess\;sup\{\delta_D(z)^\sigma{\mid}f(z)\mid:z{\in}D\}$$, where $\delta_D(z)$ denote the distance from z to ${\partial}D$. We prove some kind of optimal growth norm estimates for a on convex domains.

In this paper, we will investigate the existence of positive solutions to the predator-prey interacting system $$ {-\varphi(x, u)\Delta u = uf(x, u, \upsilon) in \Omega {-\psi(x, \upsilon)\Delta\upsilon = \upsilon g(x, u, \upsilon) {\frac{\partial n}{\partial u} + ku = 0 on \partial\Omega {\frac{\partial n}{\partial\upsilon} + \sigma\upsilon = 0. $$ in a bound region $\Omega$ in $R^n$ with smooth boundary, where $\varphi$ and $\psi$ are strictly positive functions, serving as nonlinear diffusion rates, and $k, \sigma > 0$ are constants.

For a locally compact higher rank graph ${\Lambda}$, we construct a two-sided path space ${\Lambda}^{\Delta}$ with shift homeomorphism ${\sigma}$ and its corresponding path groupoid ${\Gamma}$. Then we find equivalent conditions of aperiodicity, cofinality and irreducibility of ${\Lambda}$ in (${\Lambda}^{\Delta}$, ${\sigma}$), ${\Gamma}$, and the groupoid algebra $C^*({\Gamma})$.

This paper describes design technique of switched-capacitor 1V delta-sigma modulator. To solve the incomplete switching operation at low voltage, bootstrapping technique is used. For PMOS input pair of 1V operational amplifier, simple common mode level down technique is used. Designed 2nd order single loop modulator has an oversampling ratio of 64 and obtains a peak SNR of 71dB, a dynamic range of 73 dB with the power consumption of 350uW at 1V power supply.
