In this paper, we establish complete convergence for sequences of extended independent random variables and arrays of rowwise extended independent random variables under sub-linear expectations in Peng's framework. The results obtained in this paper extend the corresponding ones of Baum and Katz [1] and Hu and Taylor [11] from classical probability space to sub-linear expectation space.

Under some conditions on an array of rowwise independent random variables, Hu et at. (1998) obtained a complete convergence result for law of large numbers with rate {a$\_$n/, n $\geq$ 1} which is bounded away from zero. We investigate the general situation for rate {a$\_$n/, n $\geq$ 1) under similar conditions.

In this paper, the author considers the nonparametric regression model with negatively orthant dependent random variables. The wavelet procedures are developed to estimate the regression function. For the wavelet estimator of unknown function g(·), the almost sure consistency is derived and the complete consistency is established under the mild conditions. Our results generalize and improve some known ones for independent random variables and dependent random variables.

This study is concerned with articulatory and acoustic experiments about the change of the stop /t/ into its counterpart affricate before derivational and inflectional suffixes beginning with /(h)i/. The present phonetic results show that the stop consonant is articulatorily and acoustically completely neutralized into the underlying plain affricate. Thus this study provides another instance of complete neutralization of manner of articulation in Korean in addition to Kim and Jongman (1996).

Imprecision of evaluation or lack of prior information about preference can be an obstacle for decision maker in representing his strict preference. Therefore, fuzziness of preference can take place, and in addition, intransitivity or incomparability of preference becomes the critical difficulty in making complete preorder of alternatives. In order to get better solution and to improve practical usufulness, MCDM should be established as a pseudo-criterion model that include fuzzy preference. In this paper, we suggest a pseudo-criterion model that can make complete preorder of alternatives by metric distance measure.

In this paper, optimal block designs for complete diallel crosses are proposed. These optimal block designs are constructed by using triangular partially balanced incomplete designs derived from symmetric balanced incomplete block designs. Also, it is shown that block designs for complete dialle crosses derived from complementary designs of triangular designs are optimal block designs.

In the paper, by directly verifying an inequality which gives a lower bound for the first order modified Bessel function of the first kind, the authors supply a new proof for the complete monotonicity of a difference between the exponential function $e^{1/t}$ and the trigamma function ${\psi}^{\prime}(t)$ on (0, ${\infty}$).

Let {$X_{ni}$, $i{\geq}1$, $n{\geq}1$} be an array of rowwise asymptotically negatively associated random variables and {$a_{ni}$, $i{\geq}1$, $n{\geq}1$} an array of constants. Some results concerning complete convergence of weighted sums ${\sum}_{i=1}^{n}a_{ni}X_{ni}$ are obtained. They generalize some previous known results for arrays of rowwise negatively associated random variables to the asymptotically negative association case.

This paper describes an efficient algorithm to generate compact and complete prompts lists for connected spoken digits database. In building a connected spoken digit recognizer, we have to acquire speech data in various contexts. However, in many speech databases the lists are made by using random generators. We provide an efficient algorithm that can generate compact and complete lists of digits in various contexts. This paper includes the proof of optimality and completeness of the algorithm.

In this paper, we introduce a semi-metric on a normed almost linear space X via functional. And we prove that a normed almost linear space X is complete if and only if $V_X$ and $W_X$ are complete when X splits as X=$W_X$ + $V_X$. Also, we prove that the dual space $X^\ast$ of a normed almost linear space X is complete.
