  • For a bounded operator T = $U{\mid}T{\mid}$ (polar decomposition), we consider a transform b $\widehat{T}$ = ${\mid}T{\mid}U$ and discuss the convergence of iterated transform of $\widehat{T}$ under the strong operator topology. We prove that such iteration of quasiaffine hyponormal operator converges to a normal operator under the strong operator topology.

  • Given operators X and Y acting on a Hilbert space H, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator A such that AX = Y. An interpolating operator for n-operators satisfies the equation $AX_i = Y_i$, for i = 1,2…, n. In this paper, we investigate Hilbert-Schmidt interpolation problems in tridiagonal algebra by connecting the classical corona theorem.

  • Suppose X is a closed subspace of Z = ${({{\Sigma}^{\infty}}_{n=1}Z_{n})}_{p}$ (1 < p < ${\infty}$, dim $Z_{n}$ < ${\infty}$). We investigate an isometrically isomorphic embedding of L(X)/K(X) into L(X, Z)/K(X, Z), where L(X, Z) (resp. L(X)) is the space of the bounded linear operators from X to Z (resp. from X to X) and K(X, Z) (resp. K(X)) is the space of the compact linear operators from X to Z (resp. from X to X).

  • Let A be a uniform algebra, and let $\phi$ be a self-map of the spectrum $M_A$ of A that induces a composition operator $C_{\phi}$, on A. It is shown that the image of $M_A$ under some iterate ${\phi}^n$ of \phi is hyperbolically bounded if and only if \phi has a finite number of attracting cycles to which the iterates of $\phi$ converge. On the other hand, the image of the spectrum of A under $\phi$ is not hyperbolically bounded if and only if there is a subspace of $A^{**}$ "almost" isometric to ${\ell}_{\infty}$ on which ${C_{\phi}}^{**}$ "almost" an isometry. A corollary of these characterizations is that if $C_{\phi}$ is weakly compact, and if the spectrum of A is connected, then $\phi$ has a unique fixed point, to which the iterates of $\phi$ converge. The corresponding theorem for compact composition operators was proved in 1980 by H. Kamowitz [17].

  • Given operators X and Y acting on a separable complex Hilbert space ${\mathcal{H}}$, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator A such that AX = Y. We show the following: Let $Alg{\mathcal{L}}$ be a subspace lattice acting on a separable complex Hilbert space ${\mathcal{H}}$ and let $X=(x_{ij})$ and $Y=(y_{ij})$ be operators acting on ${\mathcal{H}}$. Then the following are equivalent: (1) There exists a unitary operator $A=(a_{ij})$ in $Alg{\mathcal{L}}$ such that AX = Y. (2) There is a bounded sequence {${\alpha}_n$} in ${\mathbb{C}}$ such that ${\mid}{\alpha}_j{\mid}=1$ and $y_{ij}={\alpha}_jx_{ij}$ for $j{\in}{\mathbb{N}}$.

  • Given vectors x and y in a separable Hilbert space H, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator A such that Ax = y. In this article, we investigate self-adjoint interpolation problems for vectors in a tridiagonal algebra: Let AlgL be a tridiagonal algebra on a separable complex Hilbert space H and let $x=(x_i)$ and $y=(y_i)$ be vectors in H.Then the following are equivalent: (1) There exists a self-adjoint operator $A=(a_ij)$ in AlgL such that Ax = y. • In this paper, we study the eigenvalue problem of Schr$\ddot{o}$dinger-type operator on bounded domains in strictly pseudoconvex CR manifolds and obtain some universal inequalities for lower order eigenvalues. Moreover, we will give some generalized Reilly-type inequalities of the first nonzero eigenvalue of the sub-Laplacian on a compact strictly pseudoconvex CR manifold without boundary.

  • The space $BV^2_{\alpha}(I)$ of all the real functions defined on interval $I=[a,b]{\subset}\mathbb{R}$, which are of bounded second ${\alpha}$-variation (in the sense De la Vall$\acute{e}$ Poussin) on I forms a Banach space. In this space we define an operator of substitution H generated by a function $h:I{\times}\mathbb{R}{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$, and prove, in particular, that if H maps $BV^2_{\alpha}(I)$ into itself and is globally Lipschitz or uniformly continuous, then h is an affine function with respect to the second variable.
