  • For a commutative ring with unity R, it is proved that R is a PF-ring if and only if the annihilator, $ann_R(a)$, for each $a{\in}R$ is a pure ideal in R. Also it is proved that the polynomial ring, R[x], is a PF-ring if and only if R is a PF-ring. Finally, we prove that M as an R-module is PF-module if and only if M[x] is a PF R[x]-module. Also M is a PP R-module if and only if M[x] is a PP R[x]-module.

  • We characterize QB-ideals of exchange rings by means of quasi-invertible elements and annihilators. Further, we prove that every $2\times2$ matrix over such ideals of a regular ring admits a diagonal reduction by quasi-inverse matrices. Prime exchange QB-rings are studied as well.

  • In this paper, we study a directed simple graph ${\Gamma}_S(N)$ for a near-ring N, where the set $V^*(N)$ of vertices is the set of all left N-subsets of N with nonzero left annihilators and for any two distinct vertices $I,J{\in}V^*(N)$, I is adjacent to J if and only if IJ = 0. Here, we deal with the diameter, girth and coloring of the graph ${\Gamma}_S(N)$. Moreover, we prove a sufficient condition for occurrence of a regular element of the near-ring N in the left annihilator of some vertex in the strong zero-divisor graph ${\Gamma}_S(N)$.

  • We discuss the condition that every nonzero right annihilator of an element contains a nonzero ideal, as a generalization of the insertion-of-factors-property. A ring with such condition is called right AP. We prove that a ring R is right AP if and only if Dn(R) is right AP for every n ≥ 2, where Dn(R) is the ring of n by n upper triangular matrices over R whose diagonals are equal. Properties of right AP rings are investigated in relation to nilradicals, prime factor rings and minimal order.

  • The intersection of all two-sided ideals of an ordered semigroup, if it is non-empty, is called the kernel of the ordered semigroup. A left ideal L of an ordered semigroup ($S,{\cdot},{\leq}$) having a kernel I is said to be simple if I is properly contained in L and for any left ideal L' of ($S,{\cdot},{\leq}$), I is properly contained in L' and L' is contained in L imply L' = L. The notions of simple right and two-sided ideals are defined similarly. In this paper, the author characterize when an ordered semigroup having a kernel is the class sum of its simple left, right and two-sided ideals. Further, the structure of simple two-sided ideals will be discussed.

  • Kaplansky introduced the Baer rings as rings in which every left (or right) annihilator of each subset is generated by an idempotent. On the other hand, Hattori introduced the left (resp. right) P.P. rings as rings in which every principal left (resp. right) ideal is projective. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the near-rings with Baer like condition and near-rings with P.P. like condition which are somewhat different from ring case, and to extend the results of Arendariz and Jondrup.

  • In this paper, left-regular maps on d-algebras are defined. These mappings show behaviors reminiscent of homomorphisms on d-algebras which have been studied elsewhere. In particular for these mappings kernels, annihilators and co-annihilators are defined and some of their properties are investigated, especially in the setting of positive implicative d-algebras.

  • A purely extending module is a generalization of an extending module. In this paper, we study several properties of purely extending modules and introduce the notion of purely essentially Baer modules. A module M is said to be a purely essentially Baer if the right annihilator in M of any left ideal of the endomorphism ring of M is essential in a pure submodule of M. We study some properties of purely essentially Baer modules and characterize von Neumann regular rings in terms of purely essentially Baer modules.
