모션프로파일의 주파수분석을 통한 웨이퍼 이송로봇의 진동성능 향상 (Improvement of Vibration Performance for Wafer Transfer Robot using Frequency Analysis of Motion Profile)

  • This paper is study of solving vibration problem occurred in moving hand of wafer transfer robot in semiconductor manufacturing line. Long settling time for decreasing vibration makes low production rate, and moreover the excessive vibration of hand sometimes breaks the wafer in a cassette. The ways of reducing the moving speed and changing the type of motion profile did not help for lessening vibration. Therefore, we analyzed the mechanical property of the hand such as natural frequency, and frequency component of the motion profile currently used in the manufacturing line. In several conditions of motion profile, we found the best condition of which the frequency component in near of natural frequency of the hand is minimal and this induced small vibration in moving hand. The results were verified theoretically and experimentally using frequency analysis.

여러 근관치료용 무선 핸드피스의 진동양상 비교 (Comparison vibration characteristics of several wireless endodontic handpieces)

  • 목적: 여러 근관치료용 무선 핸드피스에서 발생되는 진동의 크기와 양상을 비교해 보고자 한다. 연구 재료 및 방법: 클램프로 고정시킨 5개의 근관치료용 무선 핸드피스(X Smart IQ, E Connect S, Endo A Class, ENDOIT, TRAUS ENDO)의 헤드부분에 가속도계를 이용하여 회전운동과 왕복운동방식으로 동작할 때 핸드피스 자체에서 발생하는 진동가속도를 측정하였다. 결과: 모든 근관치료용 무선 핸드피스에서 회전운동보다 왕복운동에서의 평균진동가속도가 유의하게 높게 나타났다(P < 0.001). 회전운동에서는 급격한 진동의 크기 변화 없이 일정한 진폭의 반복적인 진동그래프가 얻어졌으며, 평균진동 가속도 값은 X Smart IQ, Endo A Class, ENDOIT, E Connect S, TRAUS ENDO 순이었고(P < 0.001), X Smart IQ와 Endo A Class 사이에는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 왕복운동에서는 한 주기 안에 특정 지점에서 큰 진폭의 피크가 나타나는 양상의 진동그래프가 얻어졌으며, 평균진동가속도 값은 X Smart IQ, E Connect S, Endo A class, ENDOIT, TRAUS ENDO 순이었다(P < 0.001). 결론: 무선 근관치료용 핸드피스 종류에 관계없이 회전운동보다 왕복운동에서 더 큰 진동이 발생하였다. 왕복운동에서는 모든 핸드피스에서 진동의 차이가 있었다(P < 0.001).

  • In this study new vibration isolation system was designed so as to decouple translational motion and rotational motion of a workstation as well as to maximize an efficiency of vibration isolation. Whole motion of the workstation as well as the transmitted vibration from the floor were compared at the two conditions; with and without the cradle system. It was shown that the cradle system had a clear effect to suppress the roiling motion of the workstation.

  • Free vibration of a semi-circular pipe conveying fluid is analyzed when the pipe is clamped at both ends. To consider the geometric non-linearity, this study adopts the Lagrange strain theory and the extensibility of the pipe. By using the extended Hamilton principle, the non-linear partial differential equations are derived, which are coupled to the in-plane and out-of\ulcornerplant: motions. To investigate the vibration characteristics of the system, the discretized equations of motion are derived from the Galerkin method. The natural frequencies are computed from the linearized equations of motion in the neighborhood of the equilibrium position. From the results. the natural frequencies for the in-plane and out-of-plane motions are vary with the flow velocity. However, no instability occurs the semi-circular pipe with both ends clamped, when taking into account the geometric non-linearity explained by the Lagrange strain theory.

Random vibration and deterministic analyses of cable-stayed bridges to asynchronous ground motion

  • In this paper, a comparison of various random vibration and deterministic dynamic analyses of cable-stayed bridges subjected to asynchronous ground motion is presented. Different random vibration methods are included to determine the dynamic behaviour of a cable-stayed bridge for various ground motion wave velocities. As a numerical example the Jindo Bridge located in South Korea is chosen and a 413 DOF mathematical model is employed for this bridge. The results obtained from a spectral analysis approach are compared with those of two random vibration based response spectrum methods and a deterministic method. The analyses suggest that the structural responses usually show important amplifications depending on the decreasing ground motion wave velocities.

  • In this paper, we analyse and present mechanical dynamic characteristics of a micro-machined vibrating silicon ring gyroscope which can measure angular velocities about three orthogonal axes. The ring gyroscope has a ring connected to the gyroscope main body by support-ligaments which are arranged with cyclic symmetry. The natural modes of its vibration can be distinguished into the in-plane motion and the out-of-plane motion which are coupled by the gyro-effect due to the rotation of the gyroscope main body. The equations of motion, the response to angular velocities, and the relationships between the natural modes of vibration are derived and compared with the previous studies for the design of a micro three-axis ring gyroscope.

  • Vibration of a beam translating over supports in vertical motion is investigated in this paper. Equations of motion are formulated using the virtual work principle by regarding the supports as kinematical constraints imposed on an unrestrained beam and by discretizing the beam via the assumed mode method. Differential-algebraic equations of motion are derived and reduced to differential equations in independent generalized coordinates by the generalized coordinate partitioning method. Geometric stiffness of the beam due to translating motion is considered and how the geometric stiffness of beam affects dynamic stability is also investigated. Instability of the beam. in various conditions is also investigated using Floquet theory and then the results are verified through the dynamic response analysis. Results of numerical simulation are presented for various prescribed motions of the beam.

  • In a link-motion mechanism, numerous links are interconnected and each link executes a constrained motion at a high speed. Due to the complicated constrained motions of the constituent links, dynamic unbalance forces and moments are generated and transmitted to the main frame. Therefore unwanted vibration is produced. This degrades productivity and precise work. Based on constrained multi-body dynamics, the kinematic analysis is carried out to enable design changes to be made. This will provide the fundamental information for significantly reducing dynamic unbalance forces and moments which are transmitted to the main frame. In this work, a link-motion punch press is selected as an example of a link-motion mechanism. To calculate the mass and inertia properties of every link comprising a link-motion punch press, 3-dimensional CAD software is utilized. The main issue in this work is to eliminate the first-order unbalance force and moment in a link-motion punch press. The mass, moment of inertia link length, location of the mass center in each link have a great impact on the degree of dynamic balancing which can be achieved maximally. Achieving good dynamic balancing in a link motion punch press is quite essential fur reliable operation at high speed.

  • This paper presents a historical study on the derivation of the differential equation of motion for the single-degree-of-freedom m-k system with the harmonic excitation. It was Euler for the first time in the history of vibration theory who tackled the equation of motion for that system analytically, then gave the solution of the free vibration and described the resonance phenomena of the forced vibration in his famous paper E126 of 1739. As a result of the chronological progress in mechanics like pendulum condition from Galileo to Euler, the author asserts two conjectures that Euler could apply to obtain the equation of motion at that time.
