Since designing a feedback topology is a practical way to implement interference alignment at reduced cost of channel state information (CSI) feedback, six feedback topologies have been presented in prior works for a K-user multiple-input multiple-output interference channel. To fully reveal the potential benefits of the feedback topology in terms of the saving of CSI overhead, we propose a new feedback topology in this paper. By efficiently performing dimensionality-decreasing at the transmitter side and aligning interference signals at a subset of receivers, we show that the proposed feedback topology obtains substantial reduction of feedback cost over the existing six feedback designs under the same antenna configuration.

This paper presents a state feedback $H^{\infty}$ controller design method for linear systems with delayed states and inputs. We derive a sufficient condition that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable for all time-delays and that the $H^{\infty}$-norm of the closed-loop transfer function is less than or equal to some prescribed level $\gamma$. And we propose a sufficient condition for the existence of a state feedback $H^{\infty}$ controller using a form of linear matrix inequality(LMI). Furthermore, we show that the state feedback $H^{\infty}$ controllers can be obtained from solutions satisfying LMI.

This paper proposes a very novel method which makes it possible that state feedback controller can be designed for unknown dynamic system with measurable states. This novel method uses the support vector machines (SVM) with its function approximation property. It works together with RLS (Recursive least-squares) algorithm. The RLS algorithm is used for the identification of input-output relationship. A virtual state space representation is derived from the relationship and the SVM makes the relationship between actual states and virtual states. A state feedback controller can be designed based on the virtual system and the SVM makes the controller with actual states. The results of this paper can give many opportunities that the state feedback control can be applied for unknown dynamic systems.

This paper describes the synthesis of robust and non-fragile $H^{i~}$state feedback controllers for linear varying systems with time delay and affine parameter uncertainties, as well as static state feedback controller with structural uncertainty. The sufficient condition of controller existence, the design method of robust and non-fragile $H^{i~}$static state feedback controller, and the region of controllers satisfying non-fragility are presented. Also, using some change of variables and Schur complements, the obtained conditions can be rewritten as parameterized Linear Matrix Inequalities (PLMIs), that is, LMIs whose coefficients are functions of a parameter confined to a compact set. We show that the resulting controller guarantees the asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed loop system in spite of time delay and controller gain variations within a resulted polytopic region.

The design of $H_2$-optimal control with regional pole assignment via state feedback in linear time-invariant systems is investigated. The aim is to find a state feedback controller such that the closed-loop system has the desired eigenvalues lying in some desired stable regions and attenuates the disturbance between the output vector and the disturbance vector. Based on a proposed result of parametric eigenstructure assignment via state feedback in linear systems, the considered $H_2$-optimal control problem is changed into a minimization problem with certain constraints, and a simple and effective algorithm is proposed for this considered problem. A numerical example and its simulation results show the simplicity and effectiveness of this proposed algorithm.
In this paper, a hybrid PD-servo state feedback control algorithm for swing up inverted pendulum system is proposed. It consists of two parts. The first part is the PD position control for swinging up the pendulum from the natural pendent position to around the upright position and the second part is the servo state feedback control for stabilizing the inverted pendulum in upright position. The first controller is PD controller and it is tuned to control the position of the pendulum by moving the cart back and forth until the pendulum swings up around the upright position. Then the second controller will be switched to stabilize the inverted pendulum in its upright position. The controller in this stage is the servo state feedback controller designed by pole placement. Experimental results of PD type swinging up control system, of stabilizing servo state feedback control system and of the proposed hybrid PD-servo state feedback control system to swing up and stabilize inverted pendulum show that the proposed method is effective and reliable for actual implementation while it is simple.

This paper presents a scheme for state observer-based stabilization control of inverted pendulum systems. The feedback gain matrices of both the state feedback controller and the state observer are obtained by a real-coded genetic algorithm(RCGA) such that the given performances indices are minimized.

In this paper the feedback linearization of the valve-controlled nonlinear hydraulic velocity control system and the implementation of the digital state feedback controller is studied. The $C^{\infty}$ nonlinear transfomation to the electro-hydraulic velocity control system, which transforms nonlinear system to linear equivalent one, is obtained. It is shown that this transformation is global one. The digital controller to this linearized model is obtained by using the one-step ahead state estimator and implemented to real plant. The proposed implementation method is easier than the other proposed methods and it is possible to control in real time. The experiment and simulation study show that the implementation of the digital state feedback controller based on the feedback linearized model is successful..
A New type of controller for stabilization of ordinary system in which delayed states are included in feedback loop, is presented. Simple conditions are proposed for the stabilization of ordinary systems with the delayed state feedback controller. Under these conditions, controller gains can be chosen such that desired system performances are satisfied. It is shown that by using this controller the performance and robustness of the resulting closed loop system are much improved compared to the conventional memoryless state feedback controllers.

This paper presents an optimal control algorithm for the overhead crane. To control the swing motion and the position tracking of the payload of the overhead crane a state feedback control algorithm is applied. by using a hybrid genetic algorithm the feedback gains of the state feedback is optimized to minimize the cost function composed of position errors and payload swing angle under unknown constant disturbances. Computer simulation is performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.
