  • Due to tough competition among social network services, technological specification alone could not be an adoption factor by the users. Instead, emotional factors such as a brand image and feeling towards an SNS brand became important factors in service differentiation. This study examined Korean young users perception of brand personalities of three social network services, Facebook, Kakao Story, and Band. It also analyzed the influence of the perception of brand personality, brand-self-image congruence, and brand affect on brand recommendation to others. The authors conducted a survey of Korean college students. The results indicate that SNS users perceived three SNS's brand personalities differently, and the positive perception of an SNS service has a positive effect on brand recommendation. Brand personality, brand-self-image congruence, and brand affect combined determine brand recommendation. When the brand personality variable is statistically controlled, brand affect has strong effect on brand recommendation.

To investigate more about the relationship between the level of IT utilization and knowledge management, we analyzed the control effects of personal characteristics, and findings are, first, employees with longer time service recognize the importance that the level of IT use and knowledge management affect organization achievement more seriously than employees with shorter time service do. Second, employees with shorter time service and younger employees have relatively lesser social capital and participate in knowledge management passively. Third, higher position employees think that the level of IT utilization affects knowledge management while lower position employees do not. Conclusions - The level of IT utilization affects social capital, and social capital affects knowledge management and organization achievement. • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of organizational culture types (rational culture, developmental culture, group culture, and hierarchical culture) on Community-Centered Social Inclusion Orientation(COSI) among social service organizations for people with disabilities. More specifically, this study developed and empirically tested two theoretical models where each of organizational culture types were hypothesized to affect COSI either directly or indirectly through market orientation. For data collection, self-administered type questionnaires were mailed to 416 social service organizations for people with disabilities across the nation and 293 responded (response rate: 70.4%) from June 1 to September 22, 2006. For analysis, however, only 263 respondents were used, excluding Independent living centers due to their small size and short history. Structural Equation Modeling was employed for analysis and Full Information Maximum Likelihood was used for estimation. Findings indicated that market orientation had a significant effect on COSI. In addition, developmental culture and hierarchical culture were found to affect COSI directly while rational culture and group culture were found to affect COSI indirectly through market orientation. These findings imply that market orientation needs to be emphasized as a strategy in order to enhance social inclusion orientation for those organizations. Given that all the four types of organizational culture have direct or indirect impacts on COSI, those organizations are also advised to develop the four types of organizational culture harmoniously rather than one single type of organizational culture.
