A Study on the Importance, Satisfaction of Skin Care Shops Selection Attributes for Life Care Promotion - Focusing on the Sanitation - (라이프케어 증진을 위한 피부미용샵 선택속성의 중요도와 만족도 연구 - 위생요인을 중심으로 -)

  • This study is aimed at identifying the important factors required by customers through importance-satisfaction analysis of how they choose skin care shops on the basis of certain factors and attributes at this time when there is an urgent need to improve the level of quality that meets their expectations and demands in combination with the quantitative expansion of skin care shops. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to 217 people over the age of 20 in Gwangju and Jeonnam area with experience in using skin care shop services. The SPSS v. 21.0 program was used to analyze the collected data. The results are summarized as follows. IPA grid analysis of the difference in importance-satisfaction of sub-factors for skin care shop choice showed that the items corresponding to the upper-left side of maintenance and strengthening, the upper-right side of stainability, and the lower-left side of gradual improvement were the 'sanitary control of tools and products', 'basic situation(legal compliance)', and 'workers' sanitary control', 'internal control of skin care shops', 'professionalism and skills of workers'and 'quality of services', respectively. Consequently, the results of this study will be based on the efficient operation of skin care shops, and further more the utilization of them is expected to expand the quantitative and qualitative base of the skin care industry.

  • Along with hair beauty, skin beauty, and nail beauty, according to the rapidly changing social flow of industrialization and appearanceism, makeup is acting as an important means for successful social life and smooth human relationships. Accordingly, the realistic need to increase sales of the beauty industry by investigating individual preferred makeup colors from various angles is emerging. Therefore, the makeup interest and color preference according to the pursuit of appearance management were analyzed for women in their teens to 40s living in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollanam-do. As a result of the study, it was found that service workers, students, and teenagers and younger usually wear a lot of makeup. ) was found to be the most used. Through this study, I believe that it will be used as basic data for future makeup product development as well as application data for color selection by makeup artists as well as to increase sales of beauty shops.

A Study on the Convergence Marketing of Pursuing Value and Beauty Service in Accordance with Men's Acceptance of Information about Beauty Care (남성들의 외모관리 정보수용도에 따른 추구가치와 뷰티서비스 융합마케팅 연구)

  • With much changes in men's appearance style to pursue, beauty care activities, and pursuing value, it has been required to have researches on it. This study analyzed men's acceptance of information about beauty care and also the characteristics of each pursuing value. An online survey was conducted targeting about 500 male office workers in Seoul. In the results of the study, the pursuit of the practical value of five beauty care activities was the highest while the aesthetic value was very differently shown in accordance with the types of beauty care activities, compared to two other values. Contrary to other styles, especially, the acceptance of the skin care style was influenced by the sociocultural value, practical value, and aesthetic value. Especially, the passivity of the aesthetic value and the emphasis on the practical and sociocultural values were shown. The hair care was influenced by the practical value while the plastic surgery was influenced by the aesthetic value. In the care style area, the acceptance of skin care was only influenced by the pursuit of complex values. Regarding the marketing of each care style, the large-scale marketing campaign would be effective for the hair care while it would be necessary to seek for more aesthetic campaigns for the plastic surgery business.

The effect of hospital workers cosmeceutical cosmetics product selection on marketing communications (병원종사자의 코스메슈티컬화장품에 대한 제품선택이 마케팅커뮤니케이션에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of product selection of hospital workers cosmeceutical cosmetics on marketing communication among hospital workers who use cosmeceutical cosmetics that have emerged in line with the recent growing medical skin care field.Coping with complaints from consumers who buy cosmeceutical cosmetics in hospitals where cosmeceutical cosmetics are mainly used and sold, and minimizing the influence of negative issues will potentially strengthen consumer relationships. The study was conducted on 520 hospital workers who use cosmeceutical cosmetics in hospitals (dermatology, plastic surgery, women's clinic, and other hospitals) in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon. A total of 502 questionnaires were used for the final analysis. The data analysis consisted of Cronbach's alpha, one-way ANOVA, exploratory factor analysis and Duncan test. Correlation analysis was performed to investigate the correlation between variables, and regression analysis was conducted to test hypotheses. The study results revealed that when choosing cosmetic cosmetics, marketing communication is influential. Especially, product value, quality, and price factors strongly affect marketing communication. This shows that we value the product and quality the most and we want a reasonable price. Considering this, we will pursue differentiated products only from cosmeceutical cosmetics and provide them as basic data necessary for securing potential customers and increasing the sales of cosmeceutical cosmetics in accordance with the changing trends.

  • The purpose of this paper was to empirically verify the effect of nail list maturity on work performance and customer orientation, and analyzed 300 adult female nail beauty workers (nailists) working at nail salons across the country. As a result of investigating the research hypothesis, it was found that the maturity of the nail list had a significant effect on work performance, and the maturity of the nail list had a significant effect on customer orientation. Given the increasing number of novice nail artists, it is inferred that the maturity of a nail artist can directly manifest in procedural outcomes and revenue aspects. Consequently, strategies to enhance the maturity of nail artists are expected to profoundly influence customer orientation and job performance. There was a scarcity of prior research discussing maturity from the perspective of nail beauty or other beauty fields (skin, hair, etc.), which posed challenges in our discourse. We anticipate in-depmore th follow-up research in the future.

Development of big data based Skin Care Information System SCIS for skin condition diagnosis and management

  • Diagnosis and management of skin condition is a very basic and important function in performing its role for workers in the beauty industry and cosmetics industry. For accurate skin condition diagnosis and management, it is necessary to understand the skin condition and needs of customers. In this paper, we developed SCIS, a big data-based skin care information system that supports skin condition diagnosis and management using social media big data for skin condition diagnosis and management. By using the developed system, it is possible to analyze and extract core information for skin condition diagnosis and management based on text information. The skin care information system SCIS developed in this paper consists of big data collection stage, text preprocessing stage, image preprocessing stage, and text word analysis stage. SCIS collected big data necessary for skin diagnosis and management, and extracted key words and topics from text information through simple frequency analysis, relative frequency analysis, co-occurrence analysis, and correlation analysis of key words. In addition, by analyzing the extracted key words and information and performing various visualization processes such as scatter plot, NetworkX, t-SNE, and clustering, it can be used efficiently in diagnosing and managing skin conditions.

  • The human's basic desire for aesthetics, which has existed along with human history, has been more individualized and diversified according to the progress of modern economic social change. In the case of men, who have a relatively higher connection and experience of mass media compared to women, there is a characteristic to apply and utilize information acquisition and share appearance management quickly on the media. This paper classified and arranged the image and characteristics of the modern male image analyzed the relationship between men's appearance management and information exploration. In addition, exploration relation per information medium was considered by dividing the men's appearance management behavior and characteristics into make-up, hair management, skin care, hands and feet care, and plastic surgery. This appears to be useful for the industrial group, e.g. beauty treatment, cosmetics, hospital, etc. as advertisement marketing information.

The Related Factor on a Work Environment of Hairdressers and a Subjective Symptom of Respiratory Organ (미용사들의 작업환경과 호흡기 자각증상과의 관련요인)

  • This research has measured the indoor environment of thirty hair salons, which are located on Gunsan-Si, Jeonlabbuk-Do, from April 1st to April 30th 2005, to examine the related factors on a work environment of hairdressers and a revelation of respiratory symptom, and has polled 260 hairdressers and 350 office workers. After measuring the physical environment of hair salons, the room temperature, the relative humidity and the illumination was in an agreeable range, and 60 percent of hair salons depended on the natural ventilation through the windows. The levels of acetone, toluene and xylene, which were measured at the hair salons, were all under the safety standards (p<0.05), but these are still harmful and volatile matters, so they can be bad for your health by the contact of skin and respiration. The harmful factors that affect a revelation of respiratory symptom were the group who has many exposures of permanent wave or bleaching/dyeing and not many experiences of hairdressing work, the group who smokes every day, and the group who never exercises at all (p<0.05). This result shows that there are possibilities of health problem for hairdressers from the constant and repeating hairdressing works with the exposure of chemicals such as the permanent, bleaching and dyeing. so that hairdressers recognize that they need appropriate ventilation facilities for their agreeable indoor-environments. And also, to prevent the direct exposure of chemicals as much as they can, they need to have an active management of an individual health care by wearing gloves, mask or something like that.

Alcohol Drinking Patterns and Sleep Quality of Male Workers in Manufacturing Industries (일부 제조업 남성 근로자들의 음주패턴과 수면의 질과의 관련성)

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify whether or not alcohol drinking patterns are associated with sleep quality. A cross-sectional study was carried out by self-administered questionnaire in May, 2017 among 553 male workers who employed in manufacturing industries in D city. Logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate whether or not alcohol drinking patterns (as measured by frequency, amount of alcohol per day, and amount of alcohol per week) were associated with poor sleep quality (as measured by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index). As a result, in comparison with male workers who did not drink, the adjusted odds ratio for poor sleep quality was 0.44 (95% CI=0.232-0.845) for those who drank alcohol once a week or more, 0.31 (95% CI=0.192-0.829) for those who drank less than 1 glass daily, and 0.28 (95% CI=0.167-0.762) for those who drank 1-3 glasses daily. The results of this study suggest that some alcohol drinking patterns may affect sleep quality among male workers.

The Association of Job Stress and Social Support with Depressive Symptoms among Manufacturing Male Workers (일부 제조업 남성근로자들의 직무스트레스 및 사회적 지지와 우울과의 관련성)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the depressive symptoms and to determine their relationship with job stress content and social support of manufacturing male workers. A total of 428 male workers were surveyed from July 1 to August 31, 2017 using self-administered questionnaires. For the results, the rate of the depression group was 25.1%. In terms of the CES-D scores by job stress contents, CES-D scores were higher in the high job demand group than in the low group and higher in the low job control group than in the high group. In terms of CES-D scores by social support, CES-D scores were higher in the low supervisor support and coworker support group than in the high group. CES-D scores showed a significant positive correlation with job demand but a negative correlation with job control, supervisor support, and coworker support. In terms of hierarchical multiple regression analysis, higher job demand was associated with lower job control, and lower support of supervisors and coworkers gave high depression scores. Explanatory power for depression score significantly increased by 18.4% according to job demand and added job controls. Explanatory power increased by 14.1% with the support of supervisors and coworkers. The above results suggest that the level of depressive symptoms is highly correlated with job demand, job control, and support of supervisors and coworkers.
