  • The object of study in this paper is generic lightlike submanifolds of an indefinite trans-Sasakian manifold with a quarter-symmetric metric connection. We study the geometry of two types of generic light-like submanifolds, which are called recurrent and Lie recurrent generic lightlike submanifolds, of an indefinite trans-Sasakian manifold with a quarter-symmetric metric connection.

  • We define a quarter-symmetric non-metric connection in a nearly trans-Sasakian manifold and we consider semi-invariant submanifolds of a nearly trans-Sasakian manifold endowed with a quarter-symmetric non-metric connection. Moreover, we also obtain integrability conditions of the distributions on semi-invariant submanifolds.

  • In this paper, we study the geometry of transversal half lightlike sub-manifolds of an indefinite Sasakian manifold. The main result is to prove three characterization theorems for such a transversal half lightlike submanifold. In addition to these main theorems, we study the geometry of totally umbilical transversal half lightlike submanifolds of an indefinite Sasakian manifold.

On Semiparallel and Weyl-semiparallel Hypersurfaces of Kaehler Manifolds

  • We study on semiparallel and Weyl semiparallel Sasakian hypersurfaces of Kaehler manifolds. We prove that a (2n + 1)-dimensional Sasakian hypersurface M of a (2n+2)-dimensional Kaehler manifold $\widetilde{M}^{2n+2}$ is semiparallel if and only if it is totally umbilical with unit mean curvature, if dimM = 3 and $\widetilde{M}^4$ is a Calabi-Yau manifold, then $\widetilde{M}$ is flat at each point of M. We also prove that such a hypersurface M is Weyl-semiparallel if and only if it is either an ${\eta}$-Einstein manifold or semiparallel. We also investigate the extended classes of semiparallel and Weyl semiparallel Sasakian hypersurfaces of Kaehler manifolds.

On Lorentzian α-Sasakian Manifolds

  • The present paper deals with Lorentzian ${\alpha}-Sasakian$ manifolds with conformally flat and quasi conform ally flat curvature tensor. It is shown that in both cases, the manifold is locally isometric with a sphere $S^{2^{n}+1}(c)$. Further it is shown that an Lorentzian ${\alpha}-Sasakian$ manifold with R(X, Y).C = 0 is locally isometric with a sphere $S^{2^{n}+1}(c)$, where c = ${\alpha}^2$.

  • The aim of this paper is to study three-dimensional conformally flat quasi-para-Sasakian manifolds. First, the necessary and sufficient conditions are provided for three-dimensional quasipara-Sasakian manifolds to be conformally flat. Next, a characterization of three-dimensional conformally flat quasi-para-Sasakian manifold is given. Finally, a method for constructing examples of three-dimensional conformally flat quasi-para-Sasakian manifolds is presented.

  • In this paper, we study lightlike hypersurfaces of an indefinite Sasakian manifold $\bar{M}$. First, we construct a type of lightlike hypersurface according to the form of the structure vector field of $\bar{M}$, named by ascreen lightlike hypersurface. Next, we characterize the geometry of such ascreen lightlike hypersurfaces.

BACH ALMOST SOLITONS IN PARASASAKIAN GEOMETRY

  • If a paraSasakian manifold of dimension (2n + 1) represents Bach almost solitons, then the Bach tensor is a scalar multiple of the metric tensor and the manifold is of constant scalar curvature. Additionally it is shown that the Ricci operator of the metric g has a constant norm. Next, we characterize 3-dimensional paraSasakian manifolds admitting Bach almost solitons and it is proven that if a 3-dimensional paraSasakian manifold admits Bach almost solitons, then the manifold is of constant scalar curvature. Moreover, in dimension 3 the Bach almost solitons are steady if r = -6; shrinking if r > -6; expanding if r < -6.

  • The aim of the present paper is to study certain recurrent properties of LP-Sasakian manifolds. Here we first describe Ricci ${\eta}$-recurrent LP-Sasakian manifolds. Further we study semi-generalized recurrent and three dimensional locally generalized concircularly ${\phi}$-recurrent LP-Sasakian manifolds and got interesting results.
