  • Recently, the landscape change by development has become more important and it's been stipulated that environmental effects evaluation must include LIA which reflects the said issue. Even though the selection of viewpoints which have the biggest impact on LIA result is stipulated in accordance with related rules, the criteria are inconsistent. Therefore, LIA experts' or project developers' subjective opinions have been very influential. In this case, wrong viewpoints which do not meet the selection criteria could be selected based on a discretionary interpretation on them, which could in turn substantially reduce an accuracy and reliability of the LIA results. Therefore, this research suggested the reverse-viewshed frequency technique as method that can be verified accuracy and reliability of viewpoints. And it has comparatively analyzed effective viewpoints using reverse-viewshed frequency analysis on viewpoints which were selected for LIA. As a result, the average validity was just 58% of total viewpoints used in construction sites. And the validity of viewpoints decreased as viewshed frequency increased. Based on results above, it was able to verify that the unreasonable points of a substantial proportion have been used as viewpoints in LIA process.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a STEAM program based on reverse engineering. To achieve the purpose of this study, STEAM program was developed on the subject of autonomous vehicle. The results of this study are summarized as follows. The program was developed based on STEAM program development model based on reverse engineering. Developed in a five step procedure (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) with the subject of autonomous vehicle. First, in the analysis step, we explored the definition, goal, content area, and teaching and learning methods of STEAM based on reverse engineering. We extracted the goals and content areas to be included in the educational program. Second, in the design step, topics were selected through consultation with experts. At this time, based on the linkage between the 2015 revised curriculum and the STEAM curriculum, we selected and organized educational goals and learning contents. Third, in the development step, we developed a teacher 's guidebook and student' s textbook, and applied the program to 71 students in the second grade of OO middle school in Seoul. Fifth, at the evaluation stage, the evaluation was made by experts and students based on the program that was implemented, and revised and supplemented based on the results.

  • Swine endothelial cells are commonly used as an in vitro model for studying features of the blood-brain barrier and some hemorrhagic diseases. However, primary cultures of swine cells have finite lifespans. To establish immortalized swine umbilical vein endothelial cells (SUVECs) using human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT), the plasmid pCI-neo-hTERT was transfected into SUVECs by lipofection. Clones were selected for G418 resistance, and positive clones were amplified. One of the clones was cultured for up to 50 passages. Factor VIII-related antigen and CD34 were detected. The immortalized cells shared the properties of normal cells, such as contact inhibition, serum requirement and anchorage dependence. Karyotype analysis revealed that the immortalized cells were in the diploid range. In addition, both in vivo and in vitro assays of tumorigenicity showed no neoplastic transformation. Furthermore, NO, $PGI_2$, and ET-1 concentrations in the transfected cells were normal. These results suggest that the SUVECs immortalized by hTERT retain their original characteristics.

  • Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is widely used in a variety of fields because of its ability to be programmed as desired. However, when an externally implemented program is loaded on FPGA in the form of a bitstream, there is a possibility that hardware Trojans which cause malfunctions or leak information may be included. For this reason, bitstream reverse engineering is essential, and therefore related research has been conducted, such as BIL. In this paper, we analyze the BIL bitstream reverse engineering tool, which is the most representative algorithm, regarding its performance and limitations.

  • Application of FBG (Fiber Bragg Grating) sensors to measure strain of steel roof trusses has been performed. This is to check and confirm the structural integrity of an unusually shaped, reverse shell structure made of reinforced concrete. The issue was to place sensors at proper location and compare the measured values to the results from structural analysis. It has been learned that a deliberate measurement scheme is needed in order to monitor a complex structure during construction. In this study, the measured values were within allowable range of strain, thus confirming the safety of the structure during measurement and construction.

  • Genetic variability was monitored by random amplified polymorphic DNA-polymerase chain reaction (RAPD-PCR) in dicofol-susceptible (S), dicofol-resistant (R) and its reverse-selected (RS) strains of two-spotted spider mite, of Tetranychus urticae. Before the reverse-selection, RS strain, selected reversely from R strain, was 23-fold resistance ratio at {TEX}$LC_{50}${/TEX} to S strain. The resistance was started to in incline slowly to the resistance level of S strain after one year, and the resistance ratio was 4-fold in the 7 years after then. PCR-amplification of T. urticae DNA showed polymorphism in the amplifications with 12 primers in 100 kinds of arbitrary DNA sequences. RAPD amplification with primer OPR-12 (5`-ACAGGTGCGT-3`) showed amplified bands at 1,000 base pair in the S-and RS-strain, and at 350 base pair in R-strain. The results of polymorphism are genetic variabilities derived from development and selection of resistance in each strain. The peculiarly amplified fragments were guessed to participate in dicofol resistance. From the analysis of genetic similarity, it is inferred the gene composition of S-and RS-strain is much closer than that of R-strain.

  • Most software is distributed as a binary file format, so reverse engineering is not easy. But Android is based on the Java and running on virtual machine. So, Android applications can be analyzed by reverse engineering tools. To overcome this problem, various obfuscation techniques are developed. In android environment, the Proguard is most widely used because it is included in the Android SDK distribution package. The Proguard can protect the Java source code from reverse engineering analysis. But it has no function to protect resources like images, sounds and databases. In this paper, we proposed and implemented resource obfuscation framework to protect resources of android application. We expect that this framework can protect android resources effectively.

  • In this paper, we focused on the performance of reverse link in 1.8GHz CDMA 1x system including the Tower-Mount LNA in an urban environment. In order to study the benefit of TMLNA, Hata model is used and the effects of multiple cells are considered. Cell coverage extension ratio is proportional to the increased gain of TMLNA in CDMA cell site. However the cell coverage is not extended even if the noise figure of TMLNA is reduced in an urban area. When typical RSSI is between -70dBm and -80dBm, the increased gain and the reduced NF of TMLNA are not impact to the pole capacity of cell site. Namely, the benefit of TMLNA in an urban area is not the problem of capacity but the proble of sensitivity. The results are also shown that reverse link $E_b/N_o$ is improved by minimum 5dB and BER is lower than $10^{-6}$.

  • This study represents basic research for the development of submerged pump technology applicable to transfer and storage of a cryogenic liquids. Its purpose is to secure baseline design data by applying reverse engineering to the process of developing a submerged cryogenic pump. The two-stage model included in the ARTICK Series LNG Submerged Pump produced by Vanzetti of Italy was selected for analysis for development of a localized product, and was disassembled for reverse engineering. The pump was disassembled after analyzing its processing/assembly characteristics such as shrinkage of fittings. In addition, the materials used in manufacturing of the main components were analyzed, and the ingredients were confirmed. As a result, a design drawing for each component required for product development was secured via foundational design, and a test product was manufactured by maximizing the application of appropriate domestic technologies.

  • This paper presents the reverse recovery characteristic according to the change of switching states when Si diode and SiC diode are used as clamp diode and proposes a method to minimize the switching loss containing the reverse recovery loss in the neutral-point-clamped inverter at low modulation index. The previous papers introduce many multiple circuits replacing Si diode with SiC diode to reduce the switching loss. In the neutral-point-clamped inverter, the switching loss can be also reduced by replacing device in the clamp diode. However, the switching loss in IGBT is large and the reduced switching loss cannot be still neglected. It is expected that the reverse recovery effect can be infrequent and the switching loss can be considerably reduced by the proposed method. Therefore, it is also possible to operate the inverter at the higher frequency with the better system efficiency and reduce the volume, weight and cost of filters and heatsink. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by numerical analysis and experiment results.
