In the so-called “information society,”the information service function of public libraries is gaining an increasing importance. In order to meet the growing demand for educational information, the Korean government established the Center for Educational Multimedia Research and Development and opened in 1996 the EDUNET as a comprchensive educational information network. In this context, public libraries as social education institutions are expected to provide educational information services by utilizing the EDUNET information resources. The availability of EDUNET will even increase when the librarians assist users with systematic information search services, and digitalize printed materials in the library. For this purpose, it is necessary for them to accommodate new information technologies and, thereby, to raise the level of information services up to that of their users’needs by enhancing the librarians’expertise in helping users search information effectively. In this end, we suggest a financial decision be made to build an oversea educational information exchange system.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of educational environment on satisfaction among trainees of beauty vocational training institutions. By examining the literature of previous studies, the research model and research hypothesis were established, and empirical analysis was conducted through questionnaires to establish theoretical concepts and identify variables of the educational environment to verify the effects on trainee satisfaction. A questionnaire was collected from 180 beauty trainees in Gyeong-gi, Seoul, and the collected data was analyzed using AMOS 22.0. As a result of this study, first, it was found that the educational environment had a significant positive effect on the NCS education method and instructor competency. Second, the NCS education method had a negative effect on the trainee satisfaction. Third, it was found that the instructor's competency had a significant positive effect on the satisfaction of trainees. Based on the study results, implications and limitations were presented.
In 1992, the quality control program was introduced in Republic of Korea to improve the reliability of the work environment monitoring, which was introduced in the 1980s. The commission entrusted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute has conducted the program for industrial hygiene laboratories including designated monitoring institutions and spontaneously participating agencies. The number of institutions that participated in the program has increased from 30 to 161. The initial conformance ratio in the participants was 43% (organic solvents) and 52% (metals). Thereafter, the conformance ratio increased rapidly and it has remained in a stable state at more than 89% since 1996. As subject materials, 13 kinds of organic solvents and 7 kinds of metals were used. To improve the capability of measurement and analysis of private institutions, educational courses were conducted annually. An assessment at the actual sites of participants was additionally introduced into the program in 2013. Thus, the program turned into a system that administrates the overall process of participants. For the future, the scope of target materials will be extended through additional items. Thus, the reliability of the results of the work environment monitoring is expected to increase accordingly.
Objectives : This study is to investigate factors that predispose the oral health education patterns of teachers at preschool institutions such as kindergartens and day nurseries, for which a comparison was made among the patterns, whereto the PRECEDE model was applied. Methods : A survey was conducted by two visits, a preliminary survey and a main survey, and teachers at the foregoing institutions personally filled in the questionnaire. Results : 1. With relation to epidemiological and social diagnosis, the largest number of respondents (53.7%) agreed on the need for oral health education, but at the same time, the largest number of respondents (40.3%) was unsatisfactory with oral health education given by them. 2. With relation to behavioral diagnosis, there were many cases where respondents taught their students to brush their teeth after meals and snacks. Oral health education was focused on safety and injuries. There was no significant intergroup difference (p>0.05). 3. Predisposing factors (a subcategory of educational diagnosis) showed the following results: As for the frequency of oral health education, most respondents at both institutions answered preferred once every six month (p>0.05). In the case of oral health checkup, 75.4% of respondents at kindergartens preferred once a year. 72.2% of respondents at day nurseries preferred the same frequency. They showed a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). In enabling factors, it was found that most respondents at both institutions collected information and teaching materials from mass media and public health centers respectively. In enabling factors, insufficient teaching materials, media and knowledge were found to be obstacles to oral health education. Conclusions : Oral healthcare providers' cooperation is required to diversify away from tooth brushing-centered education and to enrich oral health education. In addition, continuous supplements are required to make teachers at preschool institutions acquire expert knowledge and give oral health education with confidence. Moreover, it needs to train them for various education programs as well as to support them with educational media. Lastly, family members' cooperation is required to develop oral health education programs.

Research design, data, and methods: The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were obtained through questionnaires and documentation. Meanwhile, the model used path analysis using Analysis Moment Structure (AMOS) software. Results: Results showed that there was a significant relationship between locus of control and redistribution variables on employee empowerment as well as on employee performance. This result implied that good management through the locus of control and employee redistribution in public organizations could be better to serve the community and organizations. Public change to be superior and demanded by the community to make it a good place to learn. Employees' good behavior and increasing competence can satisfy users of educational and sustainable institutions. Conclusion: To sum up, research on management development of locus of control and employee redistribution is needed to make public organizations, especially those engaged in education. This study was carried out to investigate the status and development direction of horse riding industry for rural development of Korea. Library research and field survey were conducted to collect relevant data such as number of horse and size of horse farms, facilities for horse riding and educational institutions for youths and farmers and the results obtained were as follows : Only a few institutions among high schools, colleges and universities were observed to deliver horse riding programs. For farmers, no equestrian specialist was available in agricultural extension offices. Horse meat is consumed mostly in Jeju Island in Korea. Relevant institutions should be also strengthened including formal and nonformal education for horse riding and much more schools and universities should adopt horse riding program for the training of youths and farmers. Considering the obesity problem, the nutritional composition of horse meat is better than those of pork or beef, so promotion of horse meat consumption also should be strengthened.
Purpose: This study investigates the participation status in clinical nursing education and nurses' continuing education needs to develop educational programs. Methods: Participants were 227 nurses working in medical institutions where nursing students practiced, and the selection criteria were nurses with more than two years of clinical education experience; data were collected using structured questionnaires. Results: More than half of the clinical nurses had completed a preceptor training program for clinical nursing education, and the subjects mainly educated by nurses were new graduate nurses and nursing students. The obstacles to clinical nursing education were lack of compensation, lack of manpower, lack of patient nursing time, excessive workload, and lack of knowledge as educators. The educational methods preferred in continuing education were small-group workshops and online education. The desired educational topics in continuing education were current nursing practice standards, simulation nursing education, and the role of clinical nursing educators. Conclusion: Based on our results, it is necessary to understand the importance of clinical nursing education, which is essential for clinical nurses, to prepare a specific system for them and to develop and operate a systematic education program according to medical institutions' characteristics.
