In Korea, small and medium sized domestic enterprises(SMEs) play an pivotal role in the national economy, accounting for 99.9% of all enterprises, 87.9% of total employment, and 48.3% of production. and SMEs was driving a real force of the development of national economy in many respects such as innovation, job creation, industrial diversity, balanced regional development. Despite their crucial role in the national development, most of SMEs suffer from a lack of R&D capabilities and equipments as well as funding capacity. Public R&D institutes can provide SMEs with valuable supplementary technological knowledge and help them build technological capacity. so, In order to effectively support SMEs, government and public R&D institutes must be a priority to know about the factors influencing the performance related to technology transfer and technological collaborations. In particular, SMEs are not only taking up a large portion of the national economy, but also their influence in politics and economy so strong that raising the competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies is a national policy goal that must be achieved in order to achieve sustained economic growth. For this reason, it is necessary to look specifically at the relationship between concepts such as the environment, strategy, and organizational culture surrounding the enterprise to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs. The paper analyzes 665 companies to find out which organizational culture affects their performance by classification and type of business of SMEs. This study demonstrated that when SMEs seek consistency in their external environment, strategies, and organizational structure to maintain their continued competitiveness. According to three-way analysis of variance (3-way ANOVA) indicates that classification of industries in SMEs has statistically significant main effects, but the type of business and organizational culture do not have significant effects. However, the company's organizational performance (operating profit) of SMES were found to differ significantly in comparison between groups according to classification standards of industries, and therefore adopted some parts. In addition, an analysis of the effect of interaction between the three independent variables of small and medium-sized enterprises has shown that there are statistically significant interaction effects among classification, types of business, and organizational cultures. The results shows that there is an organizational culture suitable for each industry classification and type of business of an entity, and is expected to be used as a basis for establishing promotion policies related to the incubation and commerciality of small and medium-sized venture companies in the future.
This study tried to propose a smart farm technology strategy suitable for the domestic situation, focusing on the differentiation suitable for the domestic situation of ICT technology. In the case of advanced countries in the overseas agricultural industry, it was confirmed that they focused on the development of a specific stage that reflected the geographical characteristics of each country, the characteristics of the agricultural industry, and the characteristics of the people's demand. Confirmed that no enemy development is being performed. Therefore, in response to problems such as a rapid decrease in the domestic rural population, aging population, loss of agricultural price competitiveness, increase in fallow land, and decrease in use rate of arable land, this study aims to develop smart farm ICT technology in the future to create quality agricultural products and have price competitiveness. It was suggested that the smart farm should be promoted by paying attention to the excellent performance, ease of use due to the aging of the labor force, and economic feasibility suitable for a small business scale. First, in terms of economic feasibility, the ICT technology is configured by selecting only the functions necessary for the small farm household (primary) business environment, and the smooth communication system with these is applied to the ICT technology to gradually update the functions required by the actual farmhouse. suggested that it may contribute to the reduction. Second, in terms of performance, it is suggested that the operation accuracy can be increased if attention is paid to improving the communication function of ICT, such as adjusting the difficulty of big data suitable for the aging population in Korea, using a language suitable for them, and setting an algorithm that reflects their prediction tendencies. Third, the level of ease of use. Smart farms based on ICT technology for the development of the Industry6.0 (1.0(Agriculture, Forestry) + 2.0(Agricultural and Water & Water Processing) + 3.0 (Service, Rural Experience, SCM)) perform operations according to specific commands, finally suggested that ease of use can be promoted by presetting and standardizing devices based on big data configuration customized for each regional environment.
Many policy makers believe that geographically clustered business activities, in order to stimulate regional innovation, are the keys to development. Underlying the assumption between cluster and development, mere co-located forms engaged in innovative process helped from knowledge transmission locally. To address the constraints of creative economy, creative milieu require networking to support innovation activities. This paper examines the development of the mini cluster reconsidered in creative milieu that shifted environment development through network activities. It shows that the powerful node get more powerful, weak node get weaker in institutional network. Moreover, the significant of cluster in creative milieu is that brings out synergy to spill over knowledge through inter-relationship based on face-to-face meeting. Creative milieu benefits from and contributes to the competitiveness of the city, they are also embedded in its network activities.

Venture company refers to technology-intensive start-ups which is characterized by high high returns and risks to challenge new business to have new ideas and technology. These venture companies, ripple effect on the competitiveness of the national industry is large, and has emerged as a new industry that is able to overcome the difficulties of low growth, as an important element in regional development strategy, urban economy of not only activation, with a large impact on the regeneration and revitalization of the city that has lagged behind, has been recognized its importance. In this study, by investigating the influence of the Anyang city development strategy based on the location factor of venture companies for the activation of Anyang City urban development in satisfaction as an intermediary, empirically location of venture companies factor is trying to analyze the effect of parameters of Anyang city development strategy in relation to the satisfaction. Analysis method is to distribute the questionnaire were analyzed using the SPSS statistical program, the results are as follows. Location factors of venture companies, government support, transportation accessibility, venture integrated factors, it appears as four factors factors of support facilities, the analysis result venture firm location factors found to affect positive satisfied (+) It was. Secondly, in order to verify the parameter effects the result Anyang urban development strategy of using three steps regression analysis, as there is influence of the positive (+) mediated effect was investigated. These results, in order to increase the satisfaction of Anyang City, is not only the physical environmental elements, it is necessary to make the urban development strategies.
Various innovation theories, such as innovation system, innovation cluster, triple helix model, are different in their focus. However they all emphasize the interaction between innovation actors in order to generate, diffuse, and appropriate technological innovations successfully. This study analyzes how the interaction of innovation actors in Daedeok Innopolis has been changed since the introduction of innovation cluster policy like the designation of Daedeok Innopolis. Based on the analysis of survey data, Innopolis statistics, and patent joint-application data, we come to the conclusions that the Daedeok Innopolis has characteristics of multi-level governance structure, in which innovation cluster, i.e. Daedeok Innopolis, regional innovation system, and national innovation system directly overlap under the framework of innovation system. In addition, from the perspectives of triple helix model, we are able to verify that the inter-domain interactions between innovation actors, such as tri-lateral network, have been constantly increased in the Daedeok Innopolis. Based on our analysis, we identify some policy suggestions in order to strengthen the competitiveness of the Daedeok Innopolis as well as other innovation clusters in Korea. First, the network activities between innovation actors within innovation cluster should be strengthened based on the geographical accessibility. Second, private intermediate organizations should be established and their roles should be extended. Third, the entrepreneurial activities of universities within innovation cluster should be strengthened. In other words, the roles of universities within the Innopolis should be activated. Finally, the government should provide relevant policy supports to activate the interactions between innovation actors within innovation cluster.

Using Social Network Analysis and Trade in Value Added Database(TiVA), this paper examines the world trade network. Main findings are as follows. Firstly, there are three types of industries, which have dominant status in the world value added trade network. Those are the manufacturing industries in the developing countries such as China's electronics industry, the service industries in the developed countries such as U.S. R&D, and the manufacturing industries in the developed countries such as German motor vehicle industry. Secondly, the major hub industries in the world trade network have their own specific types in the brokerage roles. Most interestingly, U.S. service industries such as the R&D, the logistics industry, and the whole sale and retail industry reveal itinerant and liaison brokerage roles. Thirdly, Korean industries have been dominated by Chinese industries. However, the financial industry and the R&D industry could have revealed superior status as the brokerage role of itinerant. This implies Korean industries could sustain their competitiveness of the hubness status only by openness policy in the service industry.
Today's individual firms no longer compete as solely autonomous entities, but rather as supply chain. As such the competitive position of a port is not only determined by its internal strengths but also it is also affected by its links in a global supply chin. In other words, port competitiveness is becoming increasingly dependent on external coordination and control of the whole supply chain. The main purpose of this paper is to examine how a port embeds itself into supply chain in order to strengthen its competitive position by focusing on Dubai port case. This paper found that Dubai port used three phases-insertion, integration and dominance-as a strategies for how it can embedded into global supply chain successfully. Dubai's global supply chain strategies give some implications for the further development of the Port of Gwangyang. First, the Port of Gwangyang should fully utilize symbiotic relationship with Gwangyang free Economic Zone. Second, the integration between Korea Container Terminal Authority and GYFEZ can be recommended for fast decision-making and providing a one-stop-service. Finally, Gwangyang should pursue an aggressive supply chain strategy, aims at dominance in the regional port network through port alliance with small and medium ports in neighboring area.
The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of social enterprise's shared value creation on corporate performance and to develop policy measures to enhance competitiveness of social enterprises. The main results and implications are as follows. First, according to the general characteristics of social enterprises, the difference between shared value creation and organizational performance was not statistically significant. In other words, although the social enterprise has various organizational characteristics, it does not differ from the shared value creation or the organizational performance that it creates. The rapid increase of social enterprises led to a rapid increase in various types of social enterprises, but there is no difference between shared value creation and organizational performance. Second, the results of analyzing the impact of shared value creation on the organizational performance of social enterprises revealed that social performance was statistically significant influenced by re-recognition of product market and regional cluster among sub-factors of shared value creation. Among the sub-factors of social enterprise's economic performance, the re-recognition of the product market had a statistically significant effect on the overall organizational performance of social enterprises. Among the sub-factors of shared value creation. In the future, it will be necessary to make effort to improve corporate performance by introducing the concept of shared value creation for social enterprise and making policy efforts to activate it.
Kunsan port based on the selection of Kunsan Free Trade Area is expected to develop into a regional beach-head port and foreign investment area, and as the result it will play a great role in accelerating the coming age of the west sea. To promote the foreign competitiveness of Kunsan port as a central container port it can be pointed out that 1) to raise up the utilization ratio of Kunsan port as the front base of export and import by multinational corporations, 2) to hustle up the development of Kunsan container port toplay the central role as the composite container linkage central port, 3) to strengthen the attraction activities of foreign investment into the Kunsan Free Trade Area for the balanced development between regions in nation, 4) the support of both central and local governments to accelerate the comingage of the west sea are necessary.
This study analyzed the linkage relations of technological innovation between Daedeok Innopolis and other seven innovative clusters in industrial complexes which have played important roles as innovative centers in Korea. To begin with, we selected major technologies of Daedeok Innopolis for which the linkage with other clusters of innovative activities was analyzed quantitatively and graphically with association matrices, network analysis and dendrogram. Based on this network analysis, we analyzed the technological linkage among clusters and found the direction and strength of technological cooperation of the Daedeok Innopolis with other innovative clusters by technology field. This study analyzed the technological network between the Daedeok Innopolis and other clusters on 6 technology fields in which Daedeok has innovative capabilities. In the analysis was measured the centrality of Daedeok compared with that of other clusters in areas where Daedeok is relatively active in innovative activities. As a result, Daedeok showed the highest centrality with the active innovative activities. Except Daedeok, Banwol-Sihwa cluster showed the highest centrality in all of the 6 technology fields. Putting all the centrality of each innovative cluster and the linkage relations of Daedeok Innopolis together, it need to consider the following policy directions to strengthen the innovative linkage with other clusters. In Daedeok's main technology areas, it needs to increase the regional linkage with the clusters with relatively high centrality and relatively low linkage with Daedeok. For Changwon, Wonju and Gunsan with which Daedeok has the relatively low innovative linkage, it need to examine a new policy to improve the linkage with technologies related with the industry other clusters are nurturing. When Daedeok formulates a plan to cooperate with other clusters, it does not only have to consider the linkage relations of technological innovation analyzed in this study and but also has to examine the cooperative strategies from the comprehensive point of view considering every aspect of their strategic industries, supportive policies, industrial base and competitiveness. This study analyzed the linkage relations between regions based on the network analysis of patents only by co-invention. Consequently, it did not examine the factors inducing the co-invention, which is a limitation of the study and is to be investigated in the future. Also, the exploratory analysis on determinants of linkage intensity and the strategies to get synergy effects through solidified linkage will be the issues of further study.
