일-가정 균형을 위한 보육 및 학교 영역에서의 요구도와 정책: 맞벌이 가정을 중심으로 (The Study on the Need and Related Policy for Work-Family Balance in the Area of Educare and School: Focused on the Dual Worker Families)

  • The purposes of this study were to analyze the needs for the balance of work-family and to provide the related policies for dual worker family. We focused on the life area of educare and school. Data were collected from 197 working mothers who have 1 or more children under age 10. The findings were: 1) after-school programs, holidays on every alternate Saturday, arbitrary no school days were not appropriate to the working parents' everyday life patterns, so the paradigm and practical conditions should be adapted to the needs of working parents. 2) the most working parents depended on the kindergarden, but the parents' satisfaction with the quality of service, time duration, the human resource of educare teacher was not sufficient, so these issues should be discussed more profoundly.

시간제 근로 및 성별에 따른 개인의 삶의 만족도 분석 - 「서울서베이 도시정책지표조사」를 이용하여 - (The Effect of Part-time Work on the Satisfaction of Personal Life - Using Seoul Survey -)

  • 우리나라 연평균 근로시간은 OECD 최상위 수준이다. 장시간 근로는 근로자의 생산성을 저해하고 일과 가정의 양립을 방해하는 등 삶의 질을 하락시키는 요인이 된다. 최근 정부는 시간제 일자리를 증가하는 등 유연근로제를 장려하고 있지만, 양질의 시간제 일자리가 부족한 현실이다. 시간제 근로는 일과 개인의 삶을 병행할 수 있게 하지만, 동시에 열악한 근로환경과 부정적인 사회적 시선을 보유하여 개인의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향이 전일제 근로와는 다를 것으로 예상된다. 특히 여성의 경우 노동시장에서 성별 격차를 경험하고 있으며, 일과 가정의 병행이라는 측면에서 시간제 근로가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향이 남성과 다르게 나타날 수 있다. 본 연구는 2017년도 "서울서베이 도시정책지표조사" 자료를 활용하여 근무유형-성별의 교차효과가 개인의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 순서형 로지스틱 회귀모형을 통해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 삶의 만족도는 전일제 여성, 전일제 남성, 시간제 여성, 시간제 남성 순으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 시간제 여성 근로자가 낮은 삶의 만족도를 가질 확률이 가장 높은 반면, 높은 삶의 만족도를 가질 확률은 가장 낮게 나타났다. 대조적으로 전일제 남성 근로자는 낮은 삶의 만족도를 가질 확률이 가장 낮은 반면, 높은 삶의 만족도를 가질 확률은 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다.

전통시장 상인의 건강 관련 삶의 질 수준 및 관련요인 분석 (Analysis of Levels of Health-related Quality of Life and Its Related Factors of Traditional Market Merchants)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify levels of health-related quality of life (EQ-5D) and its related factors among merchants in traditional markets. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used. Data were collected through questionnaires and physical examination on blood pressure, blood glucose, total cholesterol and BMI between February 12 and April 13, 2018. The participants were 175 merchants from two traditional markets in U. Metropolitan city. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. Results: Levels of health-related EQ-5D were significantly different according to demographic characteristics, smoking status, exercise, total cholesterol, BMI, subjective health status, stress, and depression. The EQ-5D related factors were variables that had significant influence on subjective health status (β=.30, p<.001), gender (β=.27, p<.001), BMI (β=-.16, p=.012), depression (β=-.17, p=.010), and working period (β=-.15, p=.021). They explained 27.2% of the total variance of health-related quality of life (F=13.91, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicated that disease prevention and health management is essential for merchants who work in traditional markets to promote their health-related quality of life. For better merchants outcome, the intervention program should consider factors that are subjective health status, gender, BMI, depression, and working period in order to improve levels of EQ-5D.

위탁급식 고객, 급식관리자 및 경쟁자 환경이 고객 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Customer, Foodservice Management and Competitor Environment on Quality of Customer's Life in Contract Foodservice)

  • The goal of the current study was to analyze major factors for improvement of quality of life in contract foodservice customers. This study investigated how characteristics of customers, foodservice management, and competitors differ in different contract foodservice business environments in order to understand increasing concerns over health, in-house working, and the environment, which are directly connected to work and life satisfaction and company profits. For the foodservice business environment, this study classified environmental factors reported by Duncan (1972) into three factors: customer environment, foodservice management environment, and competitor environment. Multi-regression analysis was conducted on quality of life using the Korean version of the WHO Quality of Life Scale Abbreviated Version (WHOQOL-BREF). Sub-factors of the contract foodservice business environment included foodservice management environment, customer environment, and competitor environment in the order of importance. The results indicate that the foodservice management environment of the company or organization where the customer is employed has the most substantial influence on quality of customer life.

주휴무제에 따른 기혼남녀의 주말 생활시간구조와 여가시간 (The Effects of Working Days of Married Men and Women on Their Time Use on The weekend)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of different working days of married working men and women on their time use on the weekend. The data collected by The National Statistical Office in 1999 was used. Among the total sample of 17,000 families, 7580 samples who are married, employed, and more than 20 yews old are selected for the analysis. This study has resulted in two major findings. (1)the working days affect on the time use on the weekend. The pattern is somewhat different by sex. The women spend more time in leisure and houseworks on the weekend as the working days decrease. However, the men do not spend more time on doing houseworks as the working days decrease. The time spent on leisure and physiologic time is increased both men and women as the change of workweek from the biweekly five-day to the weekly five-day: (2)if the five-day workweek and more flexible hours are introduced, they will contribute to Improve the quality of life of workers. This fact shows positive view at the last stage of legislation of the five-day workweek .

만4세 유아의 인지발달에 영향을 미치는 생태체계변인 연구 (Research on the Ecological System Variables Predicting Korean 4-year-olds' Cognitive Development)

  • 본 연구는 만4세 유아의 인지발달이 생태체계변인에 따라 다른지를 살펴보고, 이 변인들이 유아의 인지발달을 유의하게 예측하는지, 어머니의 취업여부에 따라 상이한 예측을 보이는지를 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 한국아동패널 5차년도 자료인 만4세 유아 998명이었고, 어머니 및 교사 대상으로 질문지 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 만4세 유아의 인지발달은 유아성별, 모학력, 부학력, 모취업여부, 가정환경의 질, 자녀기관생활관심정도에 따라 달랐다. 자녀기관생활관심정도가 가장 큰 영향력을 가졌고, 유아성별, 가정환경의 질, 모취업여부의 순으로 인지발달에 영향을 미쳤다. 어머니의 취업여부에 따라서는 다른 양상이 나타났는데, 자녀기관생활관심정도와 성별이 공통적으로 영향력을 미쳤지만 취업모 가정에서 자녀기관생활관심정도의 영향력이 더 크게 나타났고, 가정환경의 질은 취업모 자녀의 인지발달에 대해서만 영향력을 미쳤다. 이 연구결과는 어머니의 취업여부에 따라 유아기 자녀의 인지발달을 도모하는 정책적 접근에 유용한 기초자료를 제공한다.

간호사의 통합성이 스트레스와 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Nurses' Sense of Coherence on Their Stress and Quality of Life)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of sense of coherence (SOC) on occupational stress, psychosocial stress and quality of life (QOL) of nurses working in a hospital. Methods: The participants were 401 nurses working in S hospital in Seoul. A stratified random sampling was performed for the all nurses in S hospital which were grouped by age and work unit. Data were collected by a self-report survey. Data analyses included descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson correlations, multiple linear regressions, and ANOVA. Results: This study showed nurses' occupational stress was at high risk and their psychosocial stress, at low risk. It also showed that those two types of stress are mutual predictors for each other and that SOC was a predictor for both types of stress. For QOL, SOC was also a predictor in SF-36 and MCS (Mental Component Summary). Therefore, SOC may be considered as a major controlling factor for stress and QOL. Conclusion: The results indicate the need to develop programs that enhances nurses' SOC, programs that could be utilized as an intervention to reduce nurses' stress and to promote nurses' QOL.

상급종합병원 중환자실 간호사의 전문직 삶의 질이 전문직 자아개념에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Professional Quality of Life on the Professional Self-Concept of Intensive Care Unit Nurses in Tertiary Hospital)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing the professional self-concept of nurses working in intensive care units (ICUs). Methods : Data were collected from July 1 to August 15, 2014. The subjects were 206 ICU nurses working in four university hospitals in B and U cities, Korea. Their professional self-concept was measured using Arthur's Scale revised by Yoon (2012), and professional quality of life (QOL) was measured using Pro QOL Korean Ver. 5 developed by Stamm (2010). Data were analyzed with SPSS Ver. 18, using a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results : Professional self-concept was significantly correlated with compassion satisfaction (r=.61, p<.001), and burn out (r=-.57, p<.001). The factors influencing professional self-concept were compassion satisfaction (${\beta}=.46$, p<.001), burn out (${\beta}=-.27$, p<.001), and education level (${\beta}=.14$, p =.014). The explanatory power of this model was 46.5%. Conclusion : The results suggest that the influencing factors found in this study should be considered when planning nursing intervention programs for improving the professional self-concept of ICU nurses.

외국인 근로자의 우울 및 사회적 지지가 건강관련 삶의 질에 미치는 영향: 건강증진행위의 매개효과 (Influence of Depression and Social Support on Health-related Quality of Life among Migrant Workers: The Mediating Effect of Health Promoting Behavior)

  • Purpose: This study aims to identify the mediating effect of health promoting behavior in the relationship between depression and health-related quality of life, and between social support and health-related quality of life among migrant workers. Methods: Data were collected from 152 migrant workers working at companies in K and B metropolitan cities. The study conducted a survey from August 1 to September 30, 2019, and used self-report structured questionnaires that were translated into English and Korean. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression, Baron and Kenny's method, and Sobel test. Results: Depression was significantly negatively correlated with social support (r=-.29, p<.001), health promoting behavior (r=-.30, p<.001) and health-related quality of life (r=-.44, p<.001). And social support was significantly positively correlated with health promoting behavior (r=.50, p<.001) and health-related quality of life (r=.44, p<.001). And health promoting behavior was significantly positively correlated with health-related quality of life (r=.51, p<.001). Furthermore health promoting behavior showed partial mediating effects in the relationship between depression and health-related quality of life (Z=3.26, p<.001), and showed partial mediating effects in the relationship between the social support and health-related quality of life (Z=3.98, p<.001). Conclusion: In this study, depression and social support were shown to mediate health promotion behavior to improve health-related quality of life. Therefore, in order to improve the health-related quality of life of migrant workers, it is necessary to focus on the health promotion behaviors, and effective strategies are needed to reduce depression, and support social support.

독거노인과 가족동거노인의 건강상태와 건강행위 경험이 건강 관련 삶의 질에 미치는 영향: 2014 지역사회 건강조사 자료 활용 (Effects of the Health Status and Health Behavior on Health-related Quality of Life of the Elderly Living Alone and Living with Their Families: Using Data from the 2014 Community Health Survey)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify factors influencing the quality of life of the elderly living alone and living with their families with regard to their health statuses and health behavior experiences. Methods: We used source data from the 2014 Community Health Survey. The subjects of this study included some elderly people aged 65 and over, and analyzed the data of 13,373 elders living alone and 13,322 elders living with family. Results: Factors influencing the quality of life of the elderly living alone and living with their families include gender, age, education, household income, current occupation, subjective stress level, depression, number of diagnosed diseases, walking exercise, the experience of health screening, and the experience of not having necessary medical services (p<.001). Region was a significant variable influencing the quality of life of the elderly living with their families (p<.001). Conclusion: In order to improve the quality of life of the elderly, it is necessary to provide sound conditions for working, emotional support, walking exercise and promotion of health screening, and to supplement the environment and institution for them to receive necessary medical services.
