  • Coenzyme $Q_{10}$ ($CoQ_{10}$, or ubiquinone) is an electron carrier of the mitochondrial respiratory chain (electron transport chain) with antioxidant properties. In view of the involvement of $CoQ_{10}$ in oxidative phosphorylation and cellular antioxidant protection a deficiency in this quinone would be expected to contribute to disease pathophysiology by causing a failure in energy metabolism and antioxidant status. Indeed, a deficit in $CoQ_{10}$ status has been determined in a number of neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders. Primary disorders of $CoQ_{10}$ biosynthesis are potentially treatable conditions and therefore a high degree of clinical awareness about this condition is essential. A secondary loss of $CoQ_{10}$ status following HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statins) treatment has been implicated in the pathophysiology of the myotoxicity associated with this pharmacotherapy. $CoQ_{10}$ and its analogue, idebenone, have been widely used in the treatment of neurodegenerative and neuromuscular disorders. These compounds could potentially play a role in the treatment of mitochondrial disorders, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Friedreich's ataxia, and other conditions which have been linked to mitochondrial dysfunction. This article reviews the physiological roles of $CoQ_{10}$, as well as the rationale and the role in clinical practice of $CoQ_{10}$ supplementation in different neurological diseases, from primary $CoQ_{10}$ deficiency to neurodegenerative disorders. These will help in future for treatment of patients suffering from neurodegenerative disease.

  • The main subject of this paper is to introduce the (p, q)-Euler polynomials and obtain several interesting symmetric properties of the modified (p, q)-Hurwitz Euler Zeta function with regard to (p, q) Euler polynomials. In order to get symmetric properties, we introduce the new (p, q)-analogue of Euler polynomials $E_{n,p,q}(x)$ and numbers $E_{n,p,q}$.

  • Because most common assumption is normality in statistical analysis, testing normality is very important. The Q-Q plot is a powerful tool to test normality with full samples in statistical package. But the plot can't test normality in type-II censored samples. This paper proposed the modified the Q-Q plot and the modified normalized sample Lorenz curve(NSLC) for normality test in the type-II censored samples. Using the two Hodgkin's disease data sets and the type-II censored samples, we picture the modified Q-Q plot and the modified normalized sample Lorenz curve.

  • In this paper, we define a new fully modified q-poly-Euler numbers and polynomials of the first type by using q-polylogarithm function. We derive some identities of the modified polynomials with Gaussian binomial coefficients. We also explore several relations that are connected with the q-analogue of Stirling numbers of the second kind.

  • Recently, smart sensors are used in various environments, and the implementation of ad-hoc sensor networks (ASNs) is a hot research topic. Unfortunately, traditional sensor network routing algorithms focus on specific control issues, and they can't be directly applied to the ASN operation. In this paper, we propose a new routing protocol by using the Q-learning technology, Main challenge of proposed approach is to extend the life of ASNs through efficient energy allocation while obtaining the balanced system performance. The proposed method enhances the Q-learning effect by considering various environmental factors. When a transmission fails, node penalty is accumulated to increase the successful communication probability. Especially, each node stores the Q value of the adjacent node in its own Q table. Every time a data transfer is executed, the Q values are updated and accumulated to learn to select the optimal routing route. Simulation results confirm that the proposed method can choose an energy-efficient routing path, and gets an excellent network performance compared with the existing ASN routing protocols.
