연령증가에 따른 신호탐지능력의 변화 -시.청각을 중심으로-

  • Recently, proportion of the aged becomes greater in Korea like the advanced country as time passed away, and this is treated as one of major social problems. Therfore, we investigated visual/auditory signal detection performance to evaluate vocational aptitude of the middle-and old-aged workers in this study. It was shown that signal detection performance decreased as workers became older, and there was large individual difference in signal detection performance. Since signal detection performance in visual task decreased rapidly and more than that in auditory task, the middle-and old-aged workers can not carry out properly visual inspection and precision task was related with that in auditory task. It can be expected that the parameters used in this study are in good use for evaluating a worker's aptitude.

  • This paper was done as an exploratory study aiming to identify the relationship between small group characteristic factors and perceived performance in the Village Development Committee (VDC) in Saemaul Undong project in Laos. The data were gathered from 166 members in 17 VDCs in Vientian province, however 135 questionnaires were used in analysis. Structure Equation Model was applied in the analysis with Amos 21. The major finding of this study were as follows; firstly decision making was more influenced by task cohesion than social cohesion, secondly organizational citizen behavior was influenced by both task cohesion and social cohesion. However, social cohesion had more influence than task cohesion, thirdly the VDC members learned their technical knowledge from decision-making process, and influenced to their perceived performance level and to VDC sustainablity, and fourthly in overall, committee members implemented their jobs based on task-oriented.

간호관리학 임상실습에서 과제수행방식이 간호대학생의 의사소통능력에 따라 문제해결능력과 간호역량에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Task Performance Style in Nursing Management Practicum on Problem-Solving and Nursing Competency according to Communication Ability of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine effects of task performance style, communication ability and their interaction on problem-solving ability and nursing competency of nursing students participating in a nursing management practicum. Methods: The study was a non-equivalent control group non-synchronized design. Participants were 56 fourth year nursing students (25 in the cooperative task group and 31 in the individual task group) and data were collected from March to September 2010. Additionally, two groups were classified based on communication ability of students and four groups were classified by their task performance style and communication ability. Problem-solving ability and nursing competency were measured pre- and post-test and compared between groups. Data were analyzed using SPSS Windows 17.0 program. Results: Neither problem-solving ability and nursing competency were statistically significantly different according to task performance style. Nursing competency was statistically significantly higher in the high communication group compared to the low communication group. Problem-solving ability was significantly different among the four groups classified by task performance style and communication ability. Conclusion: Nursing educators may need to improve students' communication ability to improve nursing competency and also assign different tasks based on communication ability of nursing students to improve problem-solving ability.

  • 과업 및 관계갈등의 차별적 효과에 대한 연구에 따르면, 과업갈등이 혁신적 성과에 긍정적 영향을 주는 반면, 관계갈등이 혁신적 성과에 부정적 영향을 준다고 주장하고 있다. 하지만, 과업갈등과 관계갈등 간의 밀접한 상호관련성을 고려해 본다면, 혁신적 성과에 긍정적 영향을 주는 과업갈등은 관계갈등으로 전이되면서, 혁신적 성과에 부정적 영향을 줄 수 있다. 따라서 과업갈등이 관계갈등으로 전이되는 것을 약화시키는 경영관리 방식이 필요하며, 개인이 보유한 사회 정체성이고, 팀에 대한 감정적 인지적 유대인 팀 정체화는 효과적인 갈등관리 방안일 수 있다. 본 연구는 213명의 종업원들을 통해 수집한 자료를 토대로, 이러한 논리가 기업현장에서 실제로 성립되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 연구결과를 토대로 연구의 시사점과 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

The Effects of Fatigue on Cognitive Performance in Police Officers and Staff During a Forward Rotating Shift Pattern

  • Background: Few studies have examined the effects of a forward rotating shift pattern on police employee performance and well-being. This study sought to compare sleep duration, cognitive performance, and vigilance at the start and end of each shift within a three-shift, forward rotating shift pattern, common in United Kingdom police forces. Methods: Twenty-three police employee participants were recruited from North Yorkshire Police (mean age, 43 years). The participants were all working the same, 10-day, forward rotating shift pattern. No other exclusion criteria were stipulated. Sleep data were gathered using both actigraphy and self-reported methods; cognitive performance and vigilance were assessed using a customized test battery, comprising five tests: motor praxis task, visual object learning task, NBACK, digital symbol substitution task, and psychomotor vigilance test. Statistical comparisons were conducted, taking into account the shift type, shift number, and the start and end of each shift worked. Results: Sleep duration was found to be significantly reduced after night shifts. Results showed a significant main effect of shift type in the visual object learning task and NBACK task and also a significant main effect of start/end in the digital symbol substitution task, along with a number of significant interactions. Conclusion: The results of the tests indicated that learning and practice effects may have an effect on results of some of the tests. However, it is also possible that due to the fast rotating nature of the shift pattern, participants did not adjust to any particular shift; hence, their performance in the cognitive and vigilance tests did not suffer significantly as a result of this particular shift pattern.

병원 간호단위관리자의 핵심직무 ­- 핵심역량 매트릭스 개발 (Development of the Core Task and Competency Matrix for Unit Managers)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop the nursing management core task and competency matrix for hospital unit managers. The perceived level of importance and performance of identified core competencies by unit managers were also investigated. Methods: Literature review and expert survey identified nursing management core task and competencies. Subsequently, the core task and competency matrix was developed and validated by expert panel. A survey of 196 nurse managers from 3 cities identified perceived importance and performance of core competiences. Results: Thirty-eight nursing management core task and thirty-seven nursing management core competencies were identified comprising five categories; Clinical practice knowledge, Evidence-based practice, Employee development, Strategic planning and Initiative. Based on the core task and competencies, the task and competency matrix for unit managers was developed. In the analysis of importance and performance of core competencies, the mean score of importance ($3.50{\pm}0.30$) was higher than the mean score of performance ($3.03{\pm}0.34$). Conclusion: The development of core task and competencies for unit managers in hospitals provides a guide for the development and evaluation of programs designed to increase competence of unit managers.

  • SolarPACES(Solar Power and Chemical Energy systems) is an international organization under the REWP(Renewable Energy Working Party)in the IEA(International Energy Agency) and focuses on the technology development and market expansion of CSP(Concentrating Solar Power). Seventeen countries including Rep. of Korea participate in the ExCo(Executive Committee) of SolarPACES. The ExCo meeting helds two times in a year and the second ExCo meeting opens in company with the five Task meetings. Rep. of Korea takes part in the Task-1officially. The 81th ExCo and Task meetings were held during September 18 and 19 in Spain with SolarPACES conference which also continued in succession to September 23 in this year. This paper introduces the activities which have been under progressed in the Task-1 and Task-3based on this time attendance of the meeting. In accordance with the expansion of CSP market and technology development, the needs for the standardization and project status underway in the world are increasing. Therefore, build an international project database and standard of the CSP technology are the main activities in the Task-1 and the standardization is also connected with the Task-3. In addition, to increase the reliability of the new technology of CSP and to reduce the concern of investors, the Task-1 is making guidelines for CSP performance prediction which can provide medium quality calculated performance data of PTC(Parabolic Trough Concentrator) type technology widely used and occupies over 90% CSP market.

환경 특성에 맞는 성능 향상 기법을 사용하는 태스크 스케줄링 알고리즘 (A Task Scheduling Algorithm with Environment-specific Performance Enhancement Method)

  • 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 IaaS 서비스는 유지비용 없이 원하는 만큼의 고성능 가상 머신을 사용할 수 있다는 장점 덕분에 대용량 병렬 프로그램을 실행하기 위한 고성능 컴퓨팅 환경으로 주목받고 있다. 이러한 고성능 컴퓨팅 환경에서 병렬 프로그램의 실행에 소요되는 시간은 태스크 스케줄링 알고리즘에 좌우된다. 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경을 기반으로 하는 태스크 스케줄링 알고리즘에 관한 연구는 사용자 부담 비용을 최소화하는 알고리즘이 주류를 이루었으며, 병렬 프로그램의 실행을 최대한 빨리 끝내기 위한 알고리즘에 관한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 부담 비용 등의 제약 없이 병렬 프로그램을 최대한 빨리 끝내기 위한 알고리즘인 HAGD 알고리즘과, HAGD 알고리즘이 사용하는 새로운 성능 향상 기법인 묶음 태스크 복제 기법을 제안한다. 묶음 태스크 복제 기법은 기존 태스크 복제 기법을 단순화하였으며, HAGD 알고리즘은 고성능 컴퓨팅 환경과 병렬 프로그램의 특성에 맞추어 태스크 삽입 기법 혹은 묶음 태스크 복제 기법을 사용한다. 성능 평가 결과, 제안하는 알고리즘이 환경 특성과 관계없이 우수한 표준화한 전체 실행 시간을 제공하는 것을 확인하였다.

과업 특성과 정보 특성간의 적합성이 사용자 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Fitness between the Task and the Information Characteristics on the User Satisfaction)

  • The purpose of this study is to confirm whether the fit between the task and the information characteristics makes any effects on the user satisfaction. The task is defined as two sub-constructs representing the degree of exception and analyzability. The information characteristics is divided into the degree of aggregation, scope and timeliness of information. User satisfaction was used as a surrogate measure of the performance of information systems. The computer self-efficacy was used to control any confounding effects. Field research method using questionnaires was employed to empirically investigate the relationship among the variables. Findings of the study are summarized as follows: the fit between the task and the aggregation of information and between the task and the scope of information turned out to have significant effects on information system performance. The implication of such results is that under highly exceptional or less analyzable task environment, less-aggregated or broad information is more appropriate.

The Effect of Noise and Display Orientation on Cognitive Performance

  • Military personnel encounter a variety of noise environments. During exercises, high intensity noise levels are often encountered. Twenty-four subjects were required to respond to symbols presented under two levels of task difficulty, two levels of presentation rate, two levels of display orientation, and three levels of noise intensity. The purpose of the experiment was to determine whether noise intensity and display orientation had any effect on a short-term memory task. Results showed that continuous white noise at intensity levels of 30, 85, and 105 db had no effect on the shortterm memory task. Presentation rate and task difficulty demonstrated a significant relationship with task performance as did their two-way interaction. This two-way interaction between presentation rate and task difficulty exhibited a different pattern for the two levels of display orientation.
