  • Metacognition is a core element for nurses' clinical competency as a result of the learner's development and evaluate goals and plans for problem solving. The study aimed to analyze factors related to metacognition among undergraduate nursing students. The 205 nursing students participated from August 15 to October 19, 2017 to measure metacognition, self-directed learning, grit, learning environment and learning style. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression with the SPSS/Win 22.0 program. Metacognition represented a positive correlation with self-directed learning, grit, learning environment. The self-directed learning and grit were significant factors on undergraduate nursing students' metacognition. As a result of this study, it is necessary to develop curriculum that can improve metacognition level by increasing self-directed learning ability and grit of undergraduate nursing student.

  • This study is a descriptive research study to investigate the effect of core basic nursing practice education on clinical competence of nursing students. The data was collected from 169 3rd and 4th grade students in the Department of Nursing, College of Nursing, G province. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression. Core experience is negatively correlated with performance confidence (r=.446, p<.001) was negatively correlated with clinical performance (r=-.206, p=.001). It was found to have a negative correlation with (r=-.346, p<.001). In this study, the factors affecting clinical performance were self-confidence (${\beta}=-.317$, p<.001), and clinical performance was 11.3%. Therefore, effective practical education program for improving clinical performance is needed for smooth practical education of nursing students.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects on nursing students' knowledge, attitude towards dementia and about awareness of elderly care. The study participants were 288 nursing students from K' university on May 7 to 14, 2019.The data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression using SPSS 20,0 program. The results revealed that students acquired knowledge of dementia by grade and religion as per general characteristics. The knowledge, attitude towards dementia and awareness of elderly care showed statistically significant differences in experience of care and education about dementia. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between the awareness of elderly care with knowledge (r = .105, p = 038) and attitude towards dementia (r = .556, p = 000). The students' attitude was explained about 31.3% in awareness of elderly care. As a findings, there is need to develop and apply a structured education program on dementia based on individual and group characteristics of nursing students. Also, it is recommended to provide continuous education and feedback.

  • This study was conducted to identify factors affecting patient safety management (PSM) of nursing student's who have experienced clinical practice. The study subjects were 232 nursing students in five universities in five cities. Data were collected between June 17 and July 30, 2019 using by completing structured self report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using T-test, ANOV A, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 22.0. In correlation ana lysis, significant positive correlations were found between PSM practice, PSM importance awareness (r= .42, p<.001), PSM knowledge(r= .29, p<.001), and PSM attitude(r= .35, p<.001). In multiple regressi on analysis, PSM importance awareness(β=.19, p<.001) was factor predicting PSM practice of nursing students, which explained 36.2% of the variance in the model. Thus, we emphasize that continuing PSM education at the university is required to improve PSM competency.

  • This study is a descriptive research that aimed to investigate the relationship among the knowledge, attitude, self-confidence, and ability to perform basic life support of nursing students, and to identify the factors affecting their performance ability of basic life support. The subjects in this study were 85 senior nursing students. And a questionnaire survey and an observation assessment for their ability to perform basic life support were conducted. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Multiple Linear Regression with SPSS WIN 23.0 program. Performance ability on Basic life support was found to be in a significant positive correlation with knowledge, self-confidence. Factors affecting the ability to perform basic life support were knowledge, number of training sessions received, and last training time. Therefore, programs for repetitive basic life support training at 3-month intervals should be developed to maintain the performance ability of basic life support.

  • The purpose of the study to investigate the effect of self-efficacy and communication ability to self-leadership of nursing students. The study conducted among 320 nursing students on May 2018 at one university. Data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, pearson's correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression by using SPSS 18.0 program. The results of the study showed that there was a significant different according to the general characteristics in communication skills in the grade, self leadership in age and grade. However, Self-efficacy, communication skills and Self-leadership. showed a statistically positive correlation with self-leadership and communication skills (r = .376, p = .000) and self leadership and communication skills were 14.1% exhibited by nursing students. The study findings suggested that there is a need to develop multidimensional strategies to improve self-efficacy and self-leadership. Also, it is recommended that develop and implement various programs to understand the college life adaptation for nursing students.

The subjects were 145 nursing students from a university, and data were collected from June 8 to 19, 2020. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and regression. The subjects' global health nursing competency was 2.81±1.11 points (four-point scale) and multicultural acceptance was 3.84±0.68 points (six-point scale). Global health nursing competency differed according to gender and degree of preparation as a global nurse, and multicultural acceptance differed according to gender, multicultural education experience, and degree of preparation as a global nurse. Global health nursing competency had a positive correlation with multicultural acceptance (r=.18, p=.027), and it was showed that multicultural acceptance affected global health nursing competency (B=.29, p=.027). To be prepared as a global nurse, it is necessary to enhance the global citizen insight about multicultural experiences.

The results of this study showed that the young children's problem behavior had a statistically significant positive correlation with Mother's anger(r=.261, p=<.001), and depression(r=.435, p<.001). The multiple regression analysis showed that the factors that significantly affect the young children's problem behavior were depression(𝛽=16.57, p<.001) of the Mother's and the total explanatory power was 19.2%. Therefore, it provided implication for the need to develop parent education program to support the reduction of depression factors along with the emotional support Mother's.
