  • This study investigated the realities of information acquirements and its requirements in the overseas employment and domestic connected education for students at the department of radiation in order to provide basic information for developing the standard educational curriculum for future internationalization in the education of radiation and presenting its direction. The investigation implemented in this study was performed through a questionnaire with 688 students enrolled in the department of radiation. The conclusion of the investigation is summarized as follows : The answers for the question of 'No acquirements in the information of the overseas employment and connected education for radiological technologists' were 487 students (70.8%), and the reason that 'There are no chances in related education' was the highest rate, 424 students (61.6%), of the answers. In the education for the overseas employment, the answers for the question of 'Select a connected education program in school instead of study abroad' were the highest rate, 436 students (63.4%). The most concerned country for the overseas employment was 'Australia', 247 students (35.9%). As a result, answers for the interest, participation, need, and hope for the overseas employment showed high rates even though they demonstrated a low recognition level in the overseas employment. In addition, it is necessary to strategically plan an education program for this issue because all participants agree with the current stream.

  • The object of this study is to analyze manipulative materials in the Pattern & Algebra field of Maths300-Maths with Attitude, Australian school mathematics program with manipulative materials to search meaningful ways for school mathematics. To accomplish these projects, 20 manipulative materials in the Pattern & Algebra field of the Maths with Attitude are introduced and each manipulative materials can be used are searched according to grades and fields of Korean educational course. And 4 mathematics classes for 3rd and 5th grades(two for each grades) with manipulative materials are performed and effect of these classes are examined by recorded data and students' opinions are inquired by questionnaire. First, We analyze Pattern & Algebra of the Maths with Attitude 20 manipulative materials such as 4ARM SHAPES, ADDITION TOTALS, ICE CREAM FLAVOURS, THE LAND OF ET, etc. In this analysis, plans for utilizing the manipulative materials are categorized in 9 types. Second, by students' handling these kinds of manipulative materials in classes, their interest in mathematics is increased and voluntary and creative classes out of the conventional ones can be made. Also, students' self-confidence in mathematics and active participation is animated. This kind of manipulative materials are introduced in the educational field of elementary schools, plans for utilizing the teaching aids in the field are analyzed, the teaching aids are practically applied to classes, and the effect and meanings for mathematics classes are examined. With this research, another researches about the introduction and utilization of other various manipulative materials for motivating students to efficiently understand what they learn in mathematics class of elementary schools are required.

  • The purpose of the study is to visualize the concept of water circulation in elementary school students through science behavioral system. Elementary school students found it difficult to understand concepts related to the water cycle. Most of the elementary school children think it rains because the clouds are heavier. It is most difficult to explain invisible concepts to elementary school children. Also, experiments in current textbooks are likely to disrupt scientific concepts. Accordingly, conventional water cycle, dew, fog, and cloud experiments were integrated into one system. The researchers then developed a device that allowed students to see the water's circulation at a glance. It is intended to enable integrated thinking on evaporation, condensation and precipitation. In addition, a instruction program to guide students using the system has been developed to demonstrate its effectiveness. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the participants were measured on their concepts of evaporation, condensation, and water circulation before and after participation. The findings indicated that the experiment is more effective in changing the concepts of evaporation, condensation, and water circulation than in previous experiments. Also, the optimal conditions for making use of the device were found, and there were no various experimental parameters, such as condensation.

Infection is associated with cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), which is found frequently in Thailand, particularly in the northeastern. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of health intervention in the population at risk for opisthorchiasis and CCA. A quasi-experimental study was conducted in Meuang Yang district, Nakhon Ratchasima province, northeastern Thailand, between June and October 2015. Participants were completed health intervention comprising 4 stations; 1, VDO clip of moving adult worm of liver fluke; 2, poster of life cycle of liver fluke; 3, microscopy with adult and egg liver fluke; and 4, brochure with the knowledge of liver fluke containing infection, signs, symptoms, related disease, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control. Pre-and-post-test questionnaires were utilized to collect data from all participants. Students paired t-tests were used to analyze differences between before and after participation in the health intervention. Knowledge (mean difference=-7.48, t=-51.241, 95% CI, -7.77, -7.19, p-value =0.001), attitude (mean difference=-9.07, t=-9.818, 95% CI=-10.9, -7.24, p-value=0.001), and practice (mean difference=-2.04, t=-2.688, 95% CI=-3.55, -0.53, p-value=0.008), changed between before and after time points with statistical significance. Community rules were concluded regarding: (1) cooked cyprinoid fish consumption; (2) stop under cooked cyprinoid fish by household cooker; (3) cooked food consumption; (4) hygienic defecation; (5) corrected knowledge campaign close to each household; (6) organizing a village food safety club; (7) and annual health check including stool examination featuring monitoring by village health volunteers and local public health officers. The results indicates that the present health intervention program was effective and easy to understand, with low cost and taking only a short time. Therefore, this program may useful for further work at community and provincial levels for liver fluke prevention and control.

  • Purpose: This study is to analyse the injury patterns of knee ligament and the factors influencing ligament injuries of knee, and to evaluate the changes of knee function and activity after ski injury. Materials and Methods: Thirty cases of ligament injuries of knee were studied with a questionaire, stress radiographs, magnetic resolution imaging, and physical examination. Mean age was 28.6 years old and mean follow up was 29.6 months. Clinical evaluation of Lysholm knee scoring scale was used for knee function and Tegner activity score was used for activity change after ski injury. Results: The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury accompanied with medial collateral ligament(MCL) injury was most in 11 cases and isolated MCL injury was the next in 9 cases. The common types of injury mechanism were Phantom foot phenomenon (13 cases, 43$\%$) and valgus external rotation injury (12 cases, 40$\%$), which constitute 83$\%$ of all case. At the last follow up, the mean Lysholm score was 93.4 and mean Tegner activity score was 4.2. The reduced Tegner activity score after injury was 1.9. Among several injury groups, the evaluation of knee function and activity was best in the isolated MCL injury group and worst in the ACL injury accompanied with MCL injury group. The factors to influence ski injury were participation to ski class, release of binding, and skiing long time more than 2 hours. Conclusions: Lysholm score at last follow up revealed good grading, but sports activity after ski injury was reduced when compared with pre-injury state. It seems to need a active, systemic sports rehabilitation program after sports injury.

  • This study conducted non-equality control post-design similar experimental study in order to investigate the effect of self-directed practice through self-reflection by using videos on the basic nursing performance ability, confidence in performance, learning self-efficacy, and practice satisfaction. The experimental group was 57 students and the control group was 56 students in the Department of Nursing in G region. The data was collected from April 1, 2017 to June 14, 2017. For analyzing data, the SPSS 22.0 program was used and the homogeneity test was analyzed with ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, and Fisher's exact test. Also, independent-test was used. According to the result, all of the experimental groups including the basic nursing performance ability, confidence in performance, learning self-efficacy(t=15.304, p<.001), and practice satisfaction(t=15.304, p<.001) were improved and showed significant differences compared to the control group. As a result, it is predicted that the practice method has a positive effect on participating in self-study and it contributes to active participation by increasing learning motivation of learners. Thus, it is suggested to be applied to various practical training to improve basic nursing skills.
