간호·간병통합서비스병동 간호사의 셀프리더십, 역할갈등, 간호근무환경이 간호서비스 질에 미치는 영향 (The Influences of Self-Leadership, Role Conflict, Nursing Work Environment on Nursing Service Quality in Comprehensive Nursing Care Service Wards)

  • Purpose: This study aims to examine the relationships between the self-leadership, role conflict, nursing work environment, and quality of nursing service in comprehensive nursing care service wards and identify the factors that affect the quality of nursing service. Methods: The data were collected from 158 nurses working in comprehensive nursing care service wards from three general hospitals with 200 beds or more in Seoul, Korea. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression analysis of enter method using SPSS/WIN ver 22.0 program. Results: The factors of quality of nursing services were self-leadership (β=.44, p<.001), nursing work environment (β=.17, p=.014), and the work experience in comprehensive nursing care service wards (β=-.15, p=.035) explaining 32% of the total variance. Conclusions: The results indicated that self-leadership, work experience in the comprehensive nursing care service wards, and nursing work environment affect the quality of nursing services of nurses in the comprehensive nursing care service wards. It is necessary to make efforts for seeking various intervention strategies and improving nursing work environment.

간호대학생의 창의성과 셀프리더십이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Creativity and Self-Leadership of Nursing College Students on Innovative Behaviors)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생들의 창의성과 셀프리더십이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 시도하였다. 간호학과 학생 202명을 대상으로 수집된 자료는 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, Multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 본 연구결과 간호대학생의 창의성이 높을수록, 셀프리더십이 높을수록, 학년이 낮을수록 혁신행동에 높은 점수를 나타냈다. 혁신행동은 창의성 및 셀프리더십과 유의한 양의 상관관계를 나타냈다. 혁신행동의 주요 영향 요인은 창의성, 셀프리더십, 학년으로 나타났으며, 혁신행동을 36.0% 설명하였다. 따라서 간호대학생들의 혁신행동을 향상시키기 위해서 입학 시부터 졸업 시까지 창의성 개발을 위한 교육과정이나 중재 프로그램 등 다양한 전략을 강구하고 셀프리더십을 강화할 수 있는 이론과 실습에서의 방안 모색이 필요하다.

간호대학생의 감성지능, 학업적 자기 효능감 및 셀프리더십 간의 관계 (The Relationship between Emotional intelligence, Academic self-efficacy and self-leadership among Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 감성지능, 학업적 자기 효능감 및 셀프리더십 간의 관계를 파악하기 위하여 시도되었다. 간호대학생 230명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 2014년 9월 1일부터 2014년 9월 30일까지 자료를 수집하였다. SPSS WIN 18을 이용하여 빈도, t-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관계수, 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 간호대학생의 감성지능, 학업적 자기 효능감과 셀프리더십은 유의한 정의 상관관계를 보여 감성지능과 학업적 자기 효능감이 높을수록 셀프리더십이 높은 것으로 나타났고, 감성지능과 학업적 자기 효능감이 셀프리더십을 40.2% 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 간호대학생의 셀프리더십을 향상시키기 위해서는 감성지능과 학업적 자기효능감을 증진시킬 수 있는 프로그램 개발 및 검증을 제언한다.

일 지역 간호대 학생의 셀프리더십, 임상실습 스트레스와 자기노출 (College Women's Self-leadership, Stress of Clinical Practice and Self Disclosure in an Area)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the degrees of and relationships between self-leadership, stress of clinical practice and self-disclosure in a group of college female students. Methods: Data were collected from 258 participants with self-report questionnaires in August, 2011. Results: There were significant differences in the level of 'self-leadership' depending on 'interpersonal relationships', 'application motivation', 'satisfaction with nursing as a major' and 'satisfaction in clinical practice'. And also there was significant difference in the level of 'self-disclosure' depending on 'interpersonal relationships'. But there was no significant difference in the level of 'stress of clinical practice' depending on general characteristics of participants. There were significant correlations between 'self-leadership' and self-disclosure, 'stress of clinical practice' and 'self-disclosure'. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it is needed to develop diverse programs that can reduce the stress of clinical practice by strengthening the capacity of self-leadership and self-disclosure.

간호사가 인지한 서번트 리더십, 의사소통능력과 감정노동의 관계 (Correlations among Emotional Labor, Servant Leadership, and Communication Competence in Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify correlations among emotional labor, servant leadership, and communication competence in hospital nurses. Methods: A self-administrated survey was conducted with a convenient sample of 210 nurses, using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. Results: The mean emotional labor score was $3.4{\pm}0.60$. There was very strong and negative correlation between emotional labor and servant leadership (r=-.896, p<.001). Communication competence was positively correlated with servant leadership (r=.298, p<.001) and moderately and negatively correlated with both frequency of emotional labor (r=-.166, p=.016) and the degree of attention to emotional expression (r=-.143, p=.039). Conclusion: As a strategy to reduce emotional labor of hospital nurses, the findings suggest training programs for nurses to enhance servant leadership and communication competence.

관리자 리더십이 조직문화 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향;병원 수간호사를 중심으로 (he Effects of Managerial Leadership on Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment;The Case of Hospital Head Nurses)

  • Purpose : The purpose of the present study was to examine the causal relationships among head nurses' leadership (consideration oriented leadership, structure initiated leadership), nursing unit culture (human development culture, task development culture), and nurses' organizational commitment. Method : Four large general hospitals located in and around Seoul were selected to participate. The total sample of 286 registered nurses represents a response rate of 90 percent. Data for this study was collected from August to September in 2000 by questionnaire. Path analyses with LISREL program were used to test the fit of the proposed model to the data and to examine the causal relationships among variables. Result : Both the proposed model and the modified model fit the data adequately. The model revealed relatively high explanatory power. 52% of human development culture was explained by predicted variables and 44% of task development was explained by predicted variables; 47% of the organizational commitment was explained by predicted variables. In predicting developmental (both human and task) nursing unit culture, the findings of this study clearly demonstrated that head nurses' consideration oriented leadership might be the most important variable. The result also showed that head nurses' consideration oriented leadership might be the most important variable among the predicted variables in predicting organizational commitment. Conclusion : Based on the findings of this study, it was suggested that various studies, for example, matching leadership and nursing unit culture, were needed.

간호사의 직무 스트레스가 직무만족에 미치는 영향: 간호사가 지각한 수간호사의 감성리더십의 매개효과 (Effect of Nurses' Job Stress on Job Satisfaction: Mediating Effect of Head Nurses' Emotional Leadership Perceived by Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effect of head nurses' emotional leadership as perceived by nurses in the relationship between nurses' job stress and job satisfaction. Methods: Study participants were 278 staff nurses currently working at two university hospitals in Busan, Korea. SPSS/WIN 21.0 program was used for data analysis to analyze descriptive statistics, t-test, correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The significance level was set at p<.05. Results: Nurses' job satisfaction had a significant correlation with job stress (r=-.31, p<.001) and emotional leadership of nurse managers as perceived by nurses (r=.53, p<.001). Also, head nurses' emotional leadership experienced by nurses had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between nurses' job stress and job satisfaction. Conclusion: The results of this study show that the nurse managers' emotional leadership has an important influence on nurses' job stress and job satisfaction. Therefore, head nurses' emotional leadership is very important for effective human resource management and the hospital should offer education and training to booster head nurses' leadership by developing emotional intelligence to promote staff job satisfaction.

투약오류보고장애요인과 투약오류보고의도의 관계에서 수간호사의 안전 관련 변혁적 리더십의 매개, 완충효과 (The Mediating and Moderating Roles of Safety-specific Transformational Leadership on the Relationship between Barrier to and Intention of Reporting Medication Errors)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to identify the mediating and moderating effects of safety-specific transformational leadership on the relationship between barrier to and intention of reporting medication errors. Methods: Two hundred thirty seven nurses from seven different hospitals participated in the study. Safety-specific transformational leadership was measured by an instrument with 10 items, barrier to reporting medication errors with 16 items, and intention of reporting medication errors with 3 items. The data was collected from September to October 2012. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and a hierarchial regression analysis were used. Results: There were significant negative correlations between the subcategories of barrier to reporting medication errors and intention of reporting medication errors (r=-.16~-.27, p<.001), and a positive correlation between the intention and safety-specific transformational leadership (r=.25, p<001). Transformational leadership was a mediator between barrier to and intention of reporting medication errors. Conclusion: Safety-specific transformational leadership mediated the relationships between barrier to and intention of reporting medication errors. Enhancing safety-specific transformational leadership of nursing unit managers is necessary to increase the intention to reporting medication errors.

간호사의 셀프리더십과 낙상에 대한 태도 및 낙상예방행위에 관한 연구 (A Study on Self-leadership, Fall Attitude, and Nurses' Behavior to Prevent Patient Falls)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify self-leadership and attitude to patient falls and fall prevention behavior in nurses. Methods: The participants were 178 nurses from two general hospitals in Seoul. Data were collected from March 20 to May 10, 2012 using structured questionnaires which included a Self-leadership scale, Fall attitude scale, and Fall prevention scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and Hierarchial multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. Results: The mean score for nurses' self-leadership was 3.48 (5 point scale). The average reported fall attitude was 3.59 (5 point scale) and fall prevention behavior was 3.26 (4 point scale). Self-leadership had a 18% explanatory power in fall attitude and a 5% explanatory power in fall prevention behavior. The factors which influenced fall prevention behavior were nurses' fall attitude (${\beta}$=.21, p=.009), fall prevention education (${\beta}$=.20, p=.007) and self-leadership (${\beta}$=.16, p=.047). All of the factors together had a 13.1% explanatory power. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that provision of regularly fall prevention education to nurses is required and should include a program to activate their positive attitude and self-leadership in order to improve fall prevention behavior in nurses.

  • Purpose: This study was done to investigate the relationship of ethical leadership to perceived organizational support and organizational commitment, and explored the mediating role of perceived organizational support in ethical leadership and organizational commitment of nurse. Method: Data were collected from 256 nurses in one city. Data from the completed questionnaires was analyzed with the SPSSWIN and AMOS programs. Result: Ethical leadership related positively to perceived organizational support and organizational commitment. There was also a positive relationship between perceived organizational support and organizational commitment. It was found that perceived organizational support showed a partial mediating role between relationship of ethical leadership and organizational commitment. Conclusion: The results suggest that positive effects in developing organizational commitment in nurses occur when nurse administrators are concerned about ethical leadership and perceived organizational support.
