전자척에서 자속밀도 해석에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Magnetic Flux Density in Electro-Magnetic Chucks)

  • The distribution of magnetic flux density of electro-magnetic chucks may clarify the clamping characteristics which are strongly related to the machining efficiency and machining accuracy in a surface grinder. Therefore the distribution of the normal and the tangential components of magnetic flux density has been analyzed theoretically. It appears that the normal and the tangential components of magnetic flux density increase as the ratio of the separator width to the pitch e/p decreases. The results seem to increase the uniformity and stability of normal component of magnetic flux density for the decreased e/p.

  • This paper considers a linear regression model with censored data where each error term follows a multivariate normal distribution. In this paper we consider the diffuse prior distribution for parameters of the linear regression model. With censored data we derive the full conditional densities for parameters of a multiple regression model in order to obtain the marginal posterior densities of the relevant parameters through the Gibbs Sampler, which was proposed by Geman and Geman(1984) and utilized by Gelfand and Smith(1990) with statistical viewpoint.

Noninformative priors for the common location parameter in half-normal distributions

  • In this paper, we develop the reference priors for the common location parameter in the half-normal distributions with unequal scale paramters. We derive the reference priors as noninformative prior and prove the propriety of joint posterior distribution under the general prior including the reference priors. Through the simulation study, we show that the proposed reference priors match the target coverage probabilities in a frequentist sense.

  • The recent work by the authors (see, Withers, 1999; Withers and McGavin, 2006; Withers and Nadarajah, 2006) provided new expressions for repeated upper tail integrals of the univariate normal density and so also for the general Hermite function. Here we derive new expressions for repeated lower tail integrals of the same. The calculations involve the use of Moran's L-function and the Airy function. In particular, the Hermite functions are expressed in terms of Moran's L-function and vice versa.

  • In this paper, we develop a MCMC method for estimating the skew normal distributions. The method utilizing the data augmentation technique gives a simple way of inferring the distribution where fully parametric frequentist approaches are not available for small to moderate sample cases. Necessary theories involved in the method and computation are provided. Two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the performance of the method.

Research on the relationship between the thermal characteristics and the type of land cover in Beijing urban area by ASTER data

  • The study utilizes remote sensing as the main monitoring means. With different spatial high-resolution, multichannel ASTER remote sensing image as the main information in Beijing city zone; with regional border and statistical data as auxiliary factor a study between the thermal space distribution character and the underground medium is analyzed based on the GIS logical algorithm and synthetic analysis technology. Results show thermal forming mechanism and the rule of distribution is mainly related to the underground medium and the change of the city distribution. Different underground medium has different degree and intensity influence on the thermal space distribution. Furthermore, urban greenbelt and water areas can reduce the thermal effect and large-scale greenbelt creates green island effect. In addition, Road net, residential area, population density, heat resources and so on have some positive effect on the thermal distribution, which increase the local temperature and intensity on the other hand. It is important to study the thermal distribution and its related factors, which contributes to the plan, construction and development of the city.

  • The evaluation of the effluent water quality of sewage treatment plant is one of the most important factor in calculating total maximum daily loads (TMDLs). Current method to calculate 95% upper limit of effluent water quality of sewage treatment plant assuming normal distribution of data needs to be implemented in case of non-normal distribution. We have investigated the applicability of percentile ranking method as a non-parametric statistical analysis in case of non-normal distribution of data.

  • 자산을 운용할 때 다양한 위험요인의 증가로 인해 위험관리에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되어왔으며, 통합적인 위험관리기법의 필요성이 대두됨에 따라 개발된 많은 방법 중의 하나가 리스크값이다. 현재까지 연구된 많은 리스크값의 추정과정에서 중요한 과제는 수익률분포의 비대칭성 및 두꺼운 꼬리와 같은 비정규성과 관련된 문제들을 해결하는 것이다. 대부분의 수익률 분포는 첨도가 매우 큰 양수값을 가지며 약한 음수값의 왜도를 갖는다. 본 연구에서는 실제 금융자산 수익률분포에 여러 종류의 대체분포들을 이용하여 실제의 수익률 분포에 적합한 분포를 선정하여 리스크값를 추정한다. 정규분포를 포함한 대체분포들을 이용하여 추정한 리스크값들이 실제 분포로부터 추정한 리스크값에 얼마나 일치하는지를 비교 연구한다. 다양한 대체분포 중에서 실제 분포에 정규혼합분포가 가장 적합하였으며, 이 정규혼합분포를 이용하여 추정한 리스크값과 다른 대체분포를 이용하여 구한 리스크값보다 정확함을 실증 자료를 통해 보였다.

  • The p chart approximate to the normal distribution has a difficulty to analyze the process condition precisely when the negative LCL is occurred. Furthermore, the probability of Type I error increases compared with using its original binomial distribution. For a long time the p chart has been used as approximated to the normal distribution because of its easy use. However, it becomes rapid and convenient to calculate the binomial distribution through the development of computer and software, so it is strongly suggested to use the binomial distribution determining control limits to reduce the probability of Type I error. In this study, I suggest that the control limits can be designed in use of binomial distribution and they can be utilized without special software by illustrating the certain work for establishing p-chart with the commercial one(EXCEL).
