In this study, we developed the multicultural program that could strengthen capabilities of the local childcare community and analyzed the satisfaction and effects of the program. The multicultural childcare community programs are designed for taking into account the conditions of effective contact between social groups. Five programs for multicultural childcare community are performed during the period (August from July 2015), and there were 196 members of local community involved in that programs. Local multicultural community program indicated a high satisfaction and we were able to lead on building their self-esteem and social engagement of multicultural parents through that program. Furthermore, we can confirm the needs of the program for local multicultural childcare community have continued. It is significant that this study provides basic data for the multicultural childcare community program to make a contribution to another local multicultural community.

The purpose of this paper was to analyze multicultural elements and propose measures to strengthen them in the 2009and the 2015 school curriculum. Based on Kim Cheong-ha (2015), the multi-cultural guidance elements and Bennett (2003:32-35) the target system and Choi Moo-sung and Kim Soon-ja (2009) were reconstructed and analyzed. Multicultural elements shown in the 2015 revised curriculum were analyzed for cultural diversity, recognition and tolerance, community awareness, and self-identity. The analysis targets analyzed multicultural elements of 'seeking human beings', 'core competences' and 'school organization and operation' during the elementary education curriculum in 2009. As a result of analyzing the multicultural elements of the former primary education process, 'cultural diversity' is 1,Recognition and tolerance'0, community spirit'3, and 'self-reliant'2 total6. In the new elementary school curriculum, 18 were analyzed as 'cultural diversity'1, 'Recognition and tolerance'1, 'community spirit'8, and 'self-identity'8. The first analysis of multi-cultural factors appearing in the new elementary school curriculum should include the addition of multicultural elements 'cultural diversity' and 'cultural diversity area' and 'education and tolerance' to the following: Second, to grow into a balanced multicultural society member, it proposes an enhanced multicultural curriculum in four areas: cultural diversity, recognition and tolerance, ccommunity spirit, and self-identity.

The purpose of this study is to examine the environmental factors influencing the multicultural acceptability of adolescents, and to improve the multicultural acceptability of adolescents. This study seek to confirm family environmental factors, school environmental factors, community environmental factors on the multicultural acceptability of adolescents, and provide an alternative to increase the multicultural acceptability of adolescents. This study used data from the first grade of middle school in the Korean child and youth panel data, and a total of 2,278 data were used for analysis. The analysis was done by multiple regression analysis through SPSS 18.0. The results were as follows: the environmental factors shown to significantly affect the multicultural acceptability of adolescents were school factors, such as school adaptation, and community factors, such as community awareness and community consciousness. As a result, it was found that school adaptation, school environment factors, community awareness and community consciousness affect the multicultural acceptability of adolescents. These results suggest that the role of school environment and community environment is important for enhancing the multicultural acceptability of adolescents. In the school environment, various education and programs should be prepared, and in the community environment, it is necessary to strengthen the role of the community and community consciousness.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of parents' positive and negative parenting attitudes on multicultural expropriation and the mediating effect of community spirit in the process. For this purpose, 1,336 first - year students who entered the university were sampled based on the 7th year data of Korea Youth Policy Institute for a regression analysis. The main results are as follows. First, the positive parenting attitude of the parents recognized by university students has a positive influence on multicultural expropriation, and the negative parenting attitude has a negative influence on multicultural expropriation. Second, Community spirit is found to have a positive influence on multicultural expropriation by university students and shown to have a partial mediated effect between positive or negative parenting and multicultural expropriation. Based on the above research results, various programs were developed and applied to enhance parents' positive parenting attitude and multicultural expropriation, and to promote positive parenting attitude and community spirit.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine factors influencing depression of multicultural adolescents and to develop health education program of multicultural adolescents' depression. Methods: This study used data from the 6th MAPS( Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study). Data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple linear regression. Results: The significant predictors of depression of multicultural adolescents were social withdrawal, self-esteem, cultural adaptation stress and parental support. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop programs to improve depression of multicultural adolescents.

This research examined the psychological characteristics of children, such as children's attachment to their mothers, self-concept, daily stress, and depression, in both multicultural and typical Korean families. Elementary school children in 3rd to 6th grade were surveyed in Chunnam province. 158 cases of multicultural families and 181 cases of typical Korean families were analyzed by the methods of Cronbach's a coefficient and independent t-test using SPSS program. Children from multicultural families had less attachment to their mothers and self respect than those from typical Korean families. Regarding daily stress, children from multicultural families highly recognize the economic and physical environments, whereas children from typical Korean families highly recognize the academic achievements and the relationships with their teachers. Children from multicultural families were highly prone to depression compared to the children from typical Korean families.

Objectives: The study by analyzing the effects of social withdrawal of adolescents from multicultural families on the relationship between self-esteem and school adjustment, this study aims to find theorical and practical measures to increase school adjustment of adolescent from multicultural familes. Methods: This study utilized the 6th year data of the MAPS conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. The data used in the analysis were self-esteem, social withdrawal, and school adjustment scale of adolescents from multicultural families. Results: First, the self-esteem of adolescents from multicultural families has a significant positive(+) effect on school adjustment. Second, the self-esteem of adolescents from multicultural families has a significant negative(-) effect on social withdrawal. Third, the social withdrawal of adolescents from multicultural families has a significant negative(-) effect on school adjustment. Fourth, significant influence to have an effect on school adjustment as mediation to be social withdrawal of self-esteem of adolescents from multicultural families. Conclusions: This study is meaningful in that it examined the school adjustment of adolescents from multicultural families in various aspects, such as individual psychological and emotional factors such as self-esteem and environmental factors such as social withdrawal.

The purpose of this study was to develop a structural equation model on the relationships among cultural tendency, social maturity, community spirit and multicultural perception of nursing students. The survey was performed on 395 nursing students in two universities. Data were collected using a structured questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS 22.0 and Amos 22.0 program. Individualism, social maturity and community spirit showed a direct effect on multicultural perception. And community spirit and Social maturity work as complete mediators in the relationship between collectivism and multicultural perception. These variables explained 59.2% of acts towards multicultural perception. The results of this study suggest that development of programs enhancing proper personalities like community spirit for nursing students.

Objectives : This study aimed to investigate factors affecting multicultural acceptability of adolescents at individual and environmental levels. Methods : Participants were 2,032 first-year high school students who participated in the 4th-year Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey in 2013. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multilevel analysis. Results : Individual factors affecting multicultural acceptability of adolescents were health status, ego-resilience, and experience of visiting foreign countries. Learning activity, school regulation, relationship with teachers, and community spirit were significant factors at environmental level. Conclusions : Findings suggest that it is necessary to consider health status, improve positive resilience, activate a multicultural experience program, establish friendly relations with teachers, adhere to social norms, and strengthen community spirit for multicultural acceptability.

The point of this research is verifing the longitudinal changes in youth multicultural acceptance and to verify predictive variables of multicultural acceptance. Among the Korean Children and Youth Panal data collected by the Korea Institute for Children and Youth Policy, 1,972 data from the 3rd, 5th, and 6th data of the first-year middle school panal were used, and the data were analyzed by applying the latent growth model, and the following analysis results were obtained. First, adolescents' multicultural acceptability showed an increasing pattern, and the extent of the increase was large at the point of transition from the 3rd year(3rd year of middle school) to the 5th year. Second, predicting the change of multicultural acceptability were found to be significant in the initial values of peer communication, community consciousness and in the rate of change, life-satisfaction, peer communication, community consciousness. This study proposed some plans to improve multicultural acceptance in adolescence basing on these results.
