한국 성인에서 가구 유형과 건강 식생활 실천 간 연관성: 2017-2021년 국민건강영양조사 자료를 활용하여 (Association of Household Types with Healthy Dietary Practices in Korean Adults: Findings from the 2017-2021 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey)

  • This study aimed to determine the association between household types and healthy dietary practices among Korean adults. A cross-sectional analysis was performed using nationwide data on 23,488 participants from the 2017-2021 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). Based on self-reported data, the participant household types were classified into single- and multi-person households. The adjusted odds ratios (AORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for healthy dietary practices according to household types were calculated by applying multivariable logistic regression analysis after adjusting for confounders. Of total, 11.21% and 88.79% were single- and multi-person households, respectively. Compared with individuals living in multi-person households, those in single-person households had lower odds of adhering to healthy dietary practices (AOR: 0.88, 95% CI: 0.79-0.98) and consuming adequate saturated fatty acids (<7% of energy) (AOR: 0.78, 95% CI: 0.69-0.88). In addition, men and individuals aged ≥65 years living in single-person households exhibited lower odds of consuming adequate saturated fatty acids and ≥500 g of fruit and vegetables per day than those in multi-person households. Single-person households often find it a challenge to practice a healthy diet. Hence, nutritional policies and educational support that help individuals living alone consume healthier diets are warranted.

Factors Associated with Depression by Household Type among the Elderly in the Community

  • This study aimed to identify factors associated with depression by household type among the elderly in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The subjects were 72,812 elderly aged 65 and over who participated in the 2020 Community Health Survey. Multivariate logistic regression with complex samples was performed to analyze the data. The incidence of depression was higher in single-person households than in multi-person households. In single-person and multi-person households, depression was higher in women, those over 75 years old, those with middle school graduates or lower, those with a household monthly income of 1 million won or less, and those receiving basic living recipients. Factors related to depression among the elderly in single-person households were physical activity, sleep time, and drinking, among the changes in lifestyle due to COVID-19. Factors related to depression among the elderly in multi-person households were physical activity, sleep time, consumption of instant food, and alcohol drinking, among the changes in lifestyle due to COVID-19, and psychological concerns due to COVID-19. Promoting mental health and developing customized programs by household type is necessary to prevent depression in the elderly in the community.

성인 뇌병변장애인 생활만족도 영향 요인: 1인 가구와 다인가구 비교 (Factors of the Life Satisfaction of Adults with Brain Lesions Disabilities: A Comparison of One-Person and Multi-Person Households)

  • 본 연구는 성인 뇌병변장애인의 생활만족도를 분석하고 이를 향상하는 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구자료는 한국장애인고용공단의 2차 웨이브 4차 장애인고용패널 자료를 활용하였다. 연구대상은 성인 뇌병변장애인 1인 가구 54명, 다인가구 227명이다. 분석은 χ2, ANOVA, 로지스틱 회귀분석으로 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 활용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 성인 뇌병변장애인 1인 가구는 다인가구에 비해 중년층과 노년층 비율이 높고, 소득이 낮으며, 수급자, 일상생활도움이 필요없고, 낮은 사회활동참여로 나타났다. 둘째, 다인가구 성인 뇌병변장애인의 생활만족도 영향 요인은 장애정도(p<.05), 건강상태(p<.05), 사회활동 참여(p<.001), 장애차별경험(p<.05)이 유의미하게 나타났고, 1인 가구 성인 뇌병변장애인의 생활만족도 영향 요인은 성별(p<.05), 연령(p<.05), 건강상태(p<.001), 고용(p<.05), 장애차별경험(p<.001)이 유의미하게 나타났다. 결과를 바탕으로 가구유형에 따른 성인 뇌병변장애인의 생활만족도 향상 방안을 제시하였다.

  • 본 연구는 청년 1인가구와 노년 1인 가구를 중심으로 지역환경이 스트레스에 미치는 영향을 비교분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 분석을 위하여 본 연구는 '2019년 지역사회건강조사'를 활용하였으며 지역환경을 사회적 환경과 물리적 환경으로 구분하여 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1인가구와 다인가구 간 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 환경요인에는 차이가 있으며, 이러한 차이는 노년층에 비해 청년층에서 상대적으로 크게 나타났다. 둘째, 청년 1인가구의 스트레스는 주로 물리적 환경요인의 영향을 받았으며, 노년 1인가구의 스트레스는 물리적 환경요인 뿐만 아니라 사회적 환경요인으로부터 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 1인가구의 정신건강 증진을 위한 지원정책을 실시함에 있어 연령별 특성과 고려한 지역수준의 지원이 제공되어야 함을 제시한다.

안전성 선호를 고려한 1인가구의 식품소비행태 분석 (Analysis of Food Consumption Behavior of Single-person Households in Consideration of Safety Preference)

  • With the recent rapid increase in single-person households, food companies are releasing small packaging and small-capacity products regardless of product line such as beverages, fresh foods, and home snacks, and food consumption patterns are also changing. Meanwhile, as a series of accidents related to food safety occurred during cost-effective consumption pursuing price-performance, more consumers wanted to choose products that have been proven safe even with higher money due to food safety anxiety. Considering the concept of 'safety' of food, this study by using the 'ordered probit model' empirically investigated whether there is a difference in the degree of preference for safety in food consumption behavior between single-person and multi-person households. Summarizing the results, it was found that women rather than men, and elderly households among young and single-person households had a higher demand for food safety. The results of marginal effects considering food safety variables show that respondents with low frequency of delivery and take-out use are considering food safety more, and that single-person households are considering safety more than multi-person households. In the future, the population structure of Korea will continue to increase in single-person and elderly households, and women's economic activities will also continue to increase. Therefore, the growing home convenience food market needs marketing strategies to secure and emphasize food safety, such as sterilizing treatment technology for hygiene and safe container development from environmental hormones, and needs a lot of support and attention to meet changes in food culture trends and demographic structure.

1인 가구의 행위를 지원하는 다기능 가구 구성 체계 분석 (Multi-functional Furniture Composition System for Single-person Household Behavior)

  • This research aims to suggest the composition of multi-functional furniture for single households, responding to the changes of consumption pattern caused by the recent trends of the single-person household living in a small residential space. It is expected that a multi-functional furniture for single households in the current context should be increased the efficiency of spaces. Using a customized questionnaire, we examined the preferences of multi-functional furniture composition for single households. A questionnaire was developed by collecting images using key words related to multi-functional furniture and analyzing the final images by multi-functionality, furniture classification system and behavior. The most preferred multi-functional furniture composition are counter-tops and chest of drawers, followed by chest of drawers and beds, counter-tops and tableware, lighting and beds, closets and drawers. This research contributes significantly in that it suggests the basic data of optimized flexible multi-functional furniture design for single-person household by linking various behaviors and furniture in the house.

태국 가구 규모에 따른 가정간편식 소비행동 (Home Meal Replacement (HMR) Consumption Behavior of Thai Consumers by Household Size)

  • This study was conducted to provide basic data for product development and marketing strategies for the Thai home meal replacement (HMR) market, to reflect the changing trends in household sizes in Thailand. The results of analyzing the characteristics and differences of HMR consumption behavior between single-person households and multi-person households in Thailand were as follows: It was found that single-person households use HMR to save money and for the convenience in cooking and preparation. In the preference by HMR type, multi-person households showed a higher preference for all types of products than single-person households. Thai consumers, regardless of their household size, mainly use department stores and large shopping malls to purchase HMR, and they most prefer to get information through Internet advertisements. The shelf life, quality, taste, hygiene, and freshness of HMR were the main considerations for their selection. Based on the results of this study, the Thai market requires the development of HMR products that are reasonable in terms of cost and preparation time. In addition, it is necessary to develop products that can satisfy consumer needs, such as nutritional enhancement and therapeutic foods, products that are organic, eco-friendly, cater to various menus, and address the premium segment.

고령장애인 실태와 생활만족도 영향 요인: 1인가구와 다인가구 비교 (Characters and Factors Affecting the Life Satisfaction of the Older Adults with Disabilities: A Comparison of one-person and multi-person households)

  • 본 연구는 고령장애인 실태와 생활만족도를 분석하여 생활만족도를 향상시키는 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구자료는 한국장애인고용공단에서 조사한 8차 장애인고용패널 자료를 활용하고, 연구대상은 1인 가구 126명, 다인가구 326명이다. 분석은 $x^2$, ANOVA, 로지스틱 회귀분석으로 SPSS 24.0 프로그램을 활용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 연구대상자는 남성, 유배우자, 경증장애, 신체외부 장애, 비수급자, 미취업자가 많고, 생활만족도 수준은 3.27로 나타났다. 둘째, 고령장애인 1인가구는 다인가구에 비해 여성, 무배우자, 중증 장애, 장애수용이 낮은 경우, 전반적 건강상태가 좋지 않은 경우, 일상생활에서 도움이 필요하고, 차별경험이 많은 경우, 미취업, 낮은 월소득, 수급자, 주관적 소속계층이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 1인가구 고령장애인 생활만족도 영향 요인은 장애수용(p<.05), 전반적 건강상태(p<.05), 사회활동 참여도(p<.05), 종교생활(p<.05)이 유의미하게 나타났고, 다인가구 고령장애인 생활만족도 영향 요인은 장애수용(p<.001), 전반적 건강상태(p<.001), 주관적 소속계층(p<.05)이 유의미하게 나타났다. 결과를 바탕으로 고령장애인 생활만족도를 향상시키기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

공적연금소득을 통한 가구형태가 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Household Type by Public Pension Income Level on Life Satisfaction)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing the life satisfaction of retirees(n=1,919) in one-person and multi-person households using the 2015 wave of the Korean Retirement and Income Study, collected by the National Pension Service. Methods: Frequency analysis and χ2-test were performed to examine the general characteristics and relation between one-person and multi-person household retirees. Logistic analysis was conducted to examine the factors affecting life satisfaction. Results: Public pension income was a statistically significant factor affecting life satisfaction, economic, health, and life in multi-person households. Conclusions: To improve life satisfaction after retirement, selective insurance benefits are needed depending on the type of household. Moreover a policy for expanding labor market participation is needed.

청년 1인가구를 위한 식생활교육 프로그램 개발 (Development of a Dietary Education Program for Korean Young Adults in Single-Person Households)

  • 본 연구는 청년 1인가구를 위한 식생활교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 청년 1인가구의 식생활 요구도 조사를 위해 국민건강영양조사 7기(2016~2018년) 자료를 활용하여 1인가구와 다인가구의 식생활 행태를 비교분석을 하였고, 청년 1인가구의 식생활 행태를 분석하기 위해 서울에 거주하는 청년 1인가구(만19~39세) 350명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석한 결과, 1인가구는 다인가구보다 아침 결식률과 외식빈도가 높았으며, 에너지 및 영양소 평균섭취량이 유의적으로 낮았다(p<0.05). 특히 청년 1인가구의 경우 가정에서의 조리 빈도가 낮을수록 아침 결식률이 높았고 외식과 배달음식 섭취빈도가 유의적으로 높았다(p<0.05). 이런 요구도 조사를 바탕으로 식생활교육 이론모델로 사회인지이론을 선정하였고, 청년 1인가구를 위한 식생활교육 프로그램을 DESIGN 6단계 절차를 적용하여 개발하였다. 1차시는 집밥의 건강향상 효과와 경제적 이익, 2차시 아침의 중요성과 생활 속 운동의 효과, 3차시 균형 잡힌 영양섭취의 중요성과 건강한 식단 작성의 원리, 4차시는 식품안전과 보관, 5차시는 소셜다이닝의 효과의 내용으로 구성하였다. 각 차시는 '건강한 집밥을 더 많이 만들어 먹기'라는 동기유발을 위한 이론강의와 행동수행력 향상을 위한 조리실습을 결합하여 구성되었다.
