  • An almost contact metric manifold is called a quasi contact metric manifold if the corresponding almost Hermitian cone is a quasi Kähler manifold, which was introduced by Y. Tashiro [9] as a contact O*-manifold. In this paper, we show that a quasi contact metric manifold with Killing characteristic vector field is a K-contact manifold. This provides an extension of the definition of K-contact manifold.

  • The P-curvature tensor has been studied in the space-time of general relativity and it is found that the contracted part of this tensor vanishes in the Einstein space. It is shown that Rainich conditions for the existence of non-null electro variance can be obtained by P𝛼𝛽. It is established that the divergence of tensor G𝛼𝛽 defined with the help of P𝛼𝛽 and scalar P is zero, so that it can be used to represent Einstein field equations. It is shown that for V4 satisfying Einstein like field equations, the tensor P𝛼𝛽 is conserved, if the energy momentum tensor is Codazzi type. The space-time satisfying Einstein's field equations with vanishing of P-curvature tensor have been considered and existence of Killing, conformal Killing vector fields and perfect fluid space-time has been established.

  • We introduce the notion of Killing shape operator for real hypersurfaces in the complex hyperbolic quadric $Q^{m*}=SO_{m,2}/SO_mSO_2$. The Killing shape operator implies that the unit normal vector field N becomes A-principal or A-isotropic. Then according to each case, we give a complete classification of real hypersurfaces in $Q^{m*}=SO_{m,2}/SO_mSO_2$ with Killing shape operator.

  • In this paper, we give a geometric approach to Killing magnetic flux surfaces in Euclidean 3-space and solve the differential equations which expressed the mentioned surfaces. Furthermore we give some examples and draw their pictures by using the programme Mathematica.

  • S. Tachibana [10] has defined a confornal Killing tensor in a n-dimensional Riemannian manifold M by a skew symmetric tensor $u_[ji}$ satisfying the equation $$ \nabla_k u_{ji} + \nabla_j u_{ki} = 2\rho_i g_{kj} - \rho_j g_{ki} - \rho_k g_{ji}, $$ where $g_{ji}$ is the metric tensor of M, $\nabla$ denotes the covariant derivative with respect to $g_{ji}$ and $\rho_i$ is a associated covector field of $u_{ji}$. In here, a covector field means a 1-form.

  • Let M be a real hypersurface in the complex hyperbolic quadric Qm*, m ≥ 3. The Riemannian curvature tensor field R of M allows us to define a symmetric Jacobi operator with respect to the Reeb vector field ξ, which is called the structure Jacobi operator Rξ = R( · , ξ)ξ ∈ End(TM). On the other hand, in [20], Semmelmann showed that the cyclic parallelism is equivalent to the Killing property regarding any symmetric tensor. Motivated by his result above, in this paper we consider the cyclic parallelism of the structure Jacobi operator Rξ for a real hypersurface M in the complex hyperbolic quadric Qm*. Furthermore, we give a complete classification of Hopf real hypersurfaces in Qm* with such a property.

  • A curve ${\gamma}$ immersed in the three-dimensional sphere ${\mathbb{S}}^3$ is said to be a slant helix if there exists a Killing vector field V(s) with constant length along ${\gamma}$ and such that the angle between V and the principal normal is constant along ${\gamma}$. In this paper we characterize slant helices in ${\mathbb{S}}^3$ by means of a differential equation in the curvature ${\kappa}$ and the torsion ${\tau}$ of the curve. We define a helix surface in ${\mathbb{S}}^3$ and give a method to construct any helix surface. This method is based on the Kitagawa representation of flat surfaces in ${\mathbb{S}}^3$. Finally, we obtain a geometric approach to the problem of solving natural equations for slant helices in the three-dimensional sphere. We prove that the slant helices in ${\mathbb{S}}^3$ are exactly the geodesics of helix surfaces.
