This study analyzes the effect of job crafting behavior on career satisfaction and job satisfaction that allows active participants to perform their jobs in a work environment where autonomy and delegation are emphasized, and how the degree of person-job fit plays a role in the relationship between the three variables. The results of an empirical analysis of 360 employees of domestic companies are as follows. First, job crafting was found to have a positive (+) effect on career satisfaction and job satisfaction, respectively, confirming the importance of job crafting in a situation where the work environment changes rapidly. Second, job crafting was found to have a positive (+) effect on desire-supply fit and ability-demand fit, respectively, which are components of person-job fit. This means that person-job fit can be improved through task, cognitive, and relationship crafting. Third, it was found that desire-supply fit and ability-demand fit had a positive (+) effect on career satisfaction and job satisfaction. This means that the higher the person-job fit the more satisfied the career and job. Finally, desire-supply fit has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between job crafting, career satisfaction, and job satisfaction and ability-demand fit has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between job crafting, job satisfaction. In summarizing the above research results, this study suggested in a changing organizational environment that it is necessary to provide individual active work performance (job crafting) opportunities for career satisfaction and job satisfaction, and that it is important to create an organization's support environment to enhance person-job fit.
The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of person-environment fit and job embeddedness on turnover Intention. The subjects conveniently extracted 150 nurses who work at 2general hospitals in B and U metropolitan cities for more than six months, and Analyses were made using the SPSS WIN 20.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs to identify the causal relationship between person-job fit, person-organizational fit, person-supervisor fit, job embeddedness and turnover Intention. As a result, the variables with direct effect and total effect on job embeddedness showed personal-job fit, personal-organizational fit, person-supervisor fit and explained 76.3% of the job embeddedness. The most significant direct effect on turnover intention was job embeddedness and personal-job fit, personal-organizational fit, Person-supervisor fit showed indirect effect, and job embeddedness explained 36% of the turnover intention. In conclusion, if the personal-job fit, personal-organizational fit, and personal-superior fit of the clinical nurse are improved, the job embeddedness are improved turnover intention will decrease and the turnover rate will be decreased. In addition, it is necessary to study various factors affecting the turnover intention of person-environmental fit on nurses.
This study analyzes how the person-environment fit on organization attractiveness, commitment, and job satisfaction in TV home shopping companies. The survey was conducted from May 3 to 31 in 2010, and 350 responses were used in the data analysis. The statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results show that person-environment fit of TV home shopping companies is composed of person-job fit, person-supervisor fit, and person-organization fit. The person-job fit, person-supervisor fit, and person-organization fit of TV home shopping companies influence the organization attractiveness and commitment. The organization attractiveness and commitment affect the job satisfaction in TV home shopping companies.

This study aims to investigate which job crafting has impact on person-job fit and job satisfaction. We define the concept of job crafting, person-job fit and job satisfaction based on previous literatures and analyze the relationship between variables. The research sample was collected from ground staffs of Low Cost Carrier (LCC) working in Incheon international airport. Results show that the cognition crafting influences on person-job fit of ground staff, and the person-job fit has been verified as a positive effect on job satisfaction.
Purpose: The goal of this study was to construct a structural equation model of job engagement in pediatric nurses based on Tims and Bakker's job crafting model. Methods: In total, 203 pediatric nurses participated in this study, which was conducted to analyze the relationships among the concepts of job demands, job resources, person-job fit, job crafting and job engagement. Data were collected from July 24 to August 30, 2017, and analyzed using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 21.0. Results: The hypothetical model appeared to fit the data. Six of the nine hypotheses selected for the hypothetical model were statistically significant. The job engagement model showed significant direct effects for job crafting, person-job fit and job resources, which collectively explained 61.5% of the variation in pediatric nurses' job engagement. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, a strategy will be needed to improve job resources and person-job fit in order to promote job engagement among pediatric nurses. Job crafting was affected by the factors of job resources and person-job fit, which should be addressed in job crafting promotion programs.
This study analyzes the effects of the KTX driver's person-environment(job, organization, Coworker) fit on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention. It, additionally, examines the mediating effect of job satisfaction and organizational commitment between person-environment fit and turnover intention. Consequence of the analysis indicates that person-environment fit has mostly meaningful influences on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention. But person-job fit makes a meaningless impact on job satisfaction, and person-coworker fit also makes a meaningless impact on job satisfaction and turnover intention. The mediating effect of job satisfaction and organizational commitment is mostly effective, but the mediating effect of job satisfaction does not affect the relation between person-organization fit and turnover intention. In conclusion, this study implies that, in order to grasp KTX driver's turnover intention and to protect actual turnover, it is important to enhance job satisfaction and organizational commitment as well as to improve overall person-environment fit.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of person-job fit on job performance. In the process, the moderating effect of the meaning of work and the mediating effect of work engagement was investigated. For this purpose, survey data were collected from 304 employees working at the company organization and analyzed using correlation and regression analysis. The summary of the study is as follows. First, there is a significant correlation between realistic person-job fit and perceived person-job fit. Second, perceived person-job fit is a significant predictor of job performance. Third, there is a mediating effect of work engagement in the relationship between person-job fit and job performance. Fourth, there is a moderating effect of the meaning of work in the relationship between person-job fit and work engagement. This study demonstrates the correlation of realistic and perceived person-job fit, which has not been studied in Korea before. It was found that person-job fit influences job performance through mediating emotional variables such as work engagement. From the point of view of organization managers, there is a need to provide a work environment that is appropriate for the characteristics of the employees and to manage how employees perceive person-job fit. In particular, it is necessary to support employees to recognize that their work promotes their growth and contributes to the public good. Finally, the limitations of the study and future research tasks were proposed.
This study identifies the impact of celebrity stylists' individual psychographic characteristics, including their lifestyle, and social characteristics, including person-environment fit on their job commitment and satisfaction. A survey was conducted with currently working celebrity stylists, and a total of 203 responses were analyzed using descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability test, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows: 1) The results of the factor analysis and reliability test on celebrity stylists' lifestyle and person-environment fit clearly revealed factorial structures, respectively. 2) Regarding the results of the influences of celebrity stylists' lifestyle on their job commitment and satisfaction, respondents who had higher new information-oriented, success-oriented, and conservation-oriented, but lower outdoor activity-oriented lifestyle tended to show higher job commitment and role satisfaction of job satisfaction. 3) Respondents who had higher person-job fit, person-organization fit, person-celebrity fit, and person-coworker fit tended to demonstrate a higher level of job commitment and role satisfaction of job satisfaction. Both celebrity stylists' lifestyle and person-environment, which revealed to have a significant relationship to their job commitment and satisfaction, could be used as an index to evaluate potential employees' job attitudes for recruiting celebrity stylist.
Purpose - In recent years, management scholars have expressed growing interest in the concept of person-Job fit because of having many benefits for employees' attitudes and behaviors. The related research is needed to determine what specific types of fit are related to each other, and to get important individual outcomes. Person-job fit of employees in service organization plays an important role in company as well as person in service industry. Person-job fit, representing the consistency between person (service provider) and job (service provided to the customers), gives significant and positive effects on the attitude and behavior of service provider. On the basis of the study background, the purpose of this study is as follows. First, we would like to examine the effects of person-job fit of service provider on their emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is divided into four sub-factors such as self-understanding, understanding others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Second, we would like to identify the relationships between job satisfaction and sub-factors such as self-understanding, understanding others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Research design, data, and methodology - We performed structural equation model using Spss 18.0 and Amos 20.0 in order to verify the hypotheses. Subjects were golf service assistants who were high-touching service with high degree in interaction and long contact time with customers. 178 out of the total 200 surveys were used in evaluation from helpers of golf service working as full-time service provider after selecting two locations of golf course located near Busan. From the evaluation of reliability and validity with variables used in this research, they satisfied and confirmed certain standard. Results - The results are as follows. First, as the results of identifying the relationships between person-job fit and emotional intelligence of service provider, person-job fit did not have positive and significant effect on self-understanding. On the other hand, it affected positively and significantly other factors in emotional intelligence such as emotion to others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Second, as the results of identifying the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction, sub-factors in emotional intelligence such as emotion to others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation except self-emotion affected significantly and positively job satisfaction. However, self-emotion did not have significant and positive effects on job satisfaction. Conclusion - These results will be valuable and used for service providers. In addition, many service providers will recognize that person-job fit is very important to get a job. This research has a purpose on the assumption that appropriateness between individual and task in service industry shall act as major influence in emotional intelligence of service provider. Recognitive ability of service provider is also very important per characteristics of service, but emotional intelligence that interacts and connected directly with most customers can be a very meaningful factor as well. Emotional intelligence allows people to recognize, understand, and empathize the emotion of customers shall be a positive reinforcement for customers to evaluate the service ultimately.
The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of person-job fit on organizational deviance and mediating effects of job satisfaction and organizational commitment(affective commitment and continuance commitment) on this relationship. Data were collected from 533 employees who were working in social welfare organizations by questionnaires. The result indicated that there were significantly positive relationships between person-job fit and job satisfaction or organizational commitment(affective commitment and continuance commitment). Also, there were significantly positive relationships between job satisfaction and affective commitment or continuance commitment. In addition, job satisfaction and affective commitment were negatively related to organizational deviance, and job satisfaction is more strongly related to organizational deviance than affective commitment. It was found that job satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between person-job fit and organizational commitment(affective commitment and continuance commitment) and affective commitment partially mediated the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational deviance. It was found that the person-job fit indirectly impacts organizational deviance though job satisfaction and affective commitment. Based on these results, the implication of this study and future research tasks were discussed.
