Artificial intelligence (AI) has tremendous potential to change the way we train future health professionals. Although AI can provide improved realism, engagement, and personalization in nursing simulations, it is also important to address any issues associated with the technology, teaching methods, and ethical considerations of AI. In nursing simulation education, AI does not replace the valuable role of nurse educators but can enhance the educational effectiveness of simulation by promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, faculty development, and learner self-direction. We should continue to explore, innovate, and adapt our teaching methods to provide nursing students with the best possible education.

While the 7th national education curriculum is gradually proceeding, science education tries various teaching-learning method for integration in science education. The first purpose of this study is to investigate Earth Systems Education(ESE), which is approaching method to integrate science education, especially in its focus on planet Earth. Also, the second purpose is to know what the reactions of students are obtained after 'The Global Climate Game' in ESE active learning program is applied to the field. The results of this study are as follows; ESE is to propose the integrated approaching method of searching for natures and ESE teaching-learning method is to try to overcome fixed conventional teaching-learning method focus on the text book, and practical application of ESE teaching-learning method is that we can develope the student-emphasized instructional program through the discussional cooperation-teaming models, role-play instructional models. In this study, 'The Global Climate Game' found that was suitable of understanding about relating of atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere and biosphere composing Earth System. Reaction of most students for ESE was showed a positive change of aspect affective region and ESE active learning program is more efficient to improve schoolwork achivement and students positive attitude toward science subject than conventional teaching-learning method. Thus if ESE active learning program is applied for a long time, the general positive attitude of students concerning science will be increased, and then the students is expected to extend the ability of application of science in their life.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception of integrated school education and education for sustainable development of secondary school science teachers, judging that the existence of a common science teacher qualification certificate is related to the expertise of the common science map. To that end, the survey was conducted for three months from June to August 2018 for secondary school science teachers, and multiple choice questions were analyzed as statistical processing and descriptive questions as topical modeling. According to the analysis, teachers with a common science teacher qualification certificate had a high awareness of integrated school education, and the response average was high in all areas of value, direction and success condition of integrated school education. In addition, the average response of teachers with a common science teacher qualification certificate was also found to be higher than those with a common science teacher qualification. There were no major differences in perception between the two groups on the strength of science education and ESD integration, but the difference was that teachers with a common science teaching certificate focused on science in all topics and recognized science as a medium for each topic compared to teachers who did not.

Purpose: The current challenges faced by nurses in providing high quality and evidence-based practice (EBP) supported care require profound changes in nursing education. To understand the changes needed to strengthen EBP education, the researchers examined EBP self-efficacy, course needs, barriers, and facilitators for academic faculty and clinical nurse preceptors to teach EBP in undergraduate nursing curricula. Methods: For this study, mixed-method approach was used with survey data collected from 73 academic faculty members from 54 universities. Further, 17 clinical nurse preceptors in three academic hospitals provided qualitative data for exploration of barriers and facilitators to teaching EBP. Data analysis used SPSS/WIN 21.0 and content analysis. Results: Quantitative data showed that although the overall level of self-efficacy among faculty was moderate, the implementation levels were relatively low. Most faculty members agreed with the need to integrate EBP courses into undergraduate nursing curricula. The qualitative data showed that the barriers to teaching EBP were lack of knowledge, skill, and initial investment for teaching EBP; hierarchical, rules-oriented nursing culture; potential learner overloads in processing EBP; limited research dissemination and application. Facilitators were identified as the importance of EBP to the profession of nursing; collaboration in schools and hospitals; and continuing education in teaching/utilizing EBP. Conclusion: The findings indicate that for successful integration of EBP ni nursing education there is a need for faculty training and integrated EBP courses.

The purpose of this study was to confirm the effect of the Havruta-based teaching and learning method on the academic self-efficacy, critical thinking tendency, learning satisfaction, and academic stress of nursing students. This study was conducted with 90 2nd graders of nursing department with one-group pretest-posttest design. The Havruta-based instructional design consists of five stages: the 1 stage is the pre-learning stage, the 2 stage is the introduction and development stage, the 3 stage is the organization of the class content, the 4 stage is the question and teaching stage, and the 5 stage is organized and integrated. Four weeks of Havruta-based teaching and learning method was applied. The data were analyzed by SPSS 25.0. The general characteristics of the subjects were frequency and percentage, and The dependent variable for measuring the effect of experimental treatment was analyzed by paired t-test. As a result of the study, the application of the Havruta-based teaching and learning method showed statistically significant results on academic self-efficacy(t=-3.711, p<.000), learning satisfaction(t=-2.580, p=.012), and academic stress(t=6.500, p<.000). The Havruta-based teaching and learning method has been confirmed to be an effective teaching method that increases the subject's academic self-efficacy, learning satisfaction, and lowers academic stress, so it can be applied to other major subjects in the future.

The new movement in science education in America and Europe has been heavilly oriented into technological and soceital aspect of science since 1970. However, this spirit has not been well informed in Korea and not adapted in science education. This paper aimed to arouse Korean science educators attention to everyday situation as a science education context. In this paper, the discipline centered science education was briefly reviewed and problems related to the philosophy was pointed out. At the same time the researcher introduced STS context as a science education objective, and elaborated the three elements(physical situation, technological situation. and societal situation) of the context. In the paper, the advantages of the use of everyday context in science education were examined. THe advantages were analysed in terms of the nature of science, learning psychology, integrated science, and societal aspect of science education. The paper also suggested the criteria to select teaching materials from STS context. The suggested criteria were the degree of science concepts involvement, frequency of experience, strength of experience, and possibility of direct experience.
The purpose of this paper is to improve scientific attitude and interest of the elementary school students by using STEAM-based robots in education. In this work, we analyzed PDIE model that describes methodology for generating STEAM integrated education materials and then we also developed teaching materials utilizing STEAM-based robots. The effect of the STEM-based robots in education was analyzed through a test class which demonstrated the robots indeed help improving scientific attitude and interest of students. During the class, individual knowledge and experience of the students were integrated into the STEAM-based robots which then provide customized help for each student so that they have better understanding and interest in science, technology, and engineering field.
This study aimed to analyze the appropriateness of chemistry teaching-learning programs for the gifted in science in middle school gifted classes and to propose improvements. For this study, 5 chemistry teaching-learning 4-6 hour programs developed for science gifted classes by Korea Education Development Institute (KEDI) and 3 chemistry teaching-learning programs developed for science gifted classes by three middle schools in K province were selected. A standard model for gifted education programs was used as tool for analyzing the program targets, program contents, teaching-learning methods, and assessment items. The results showed that all chemistry teaching-learning programs for the gifted in science presented well attainable objectives in the program targets. However, most program targets did not offer differentiated objectives from the general education. Program contents of KEDI stresses intensified education, and also presented a high ratio of sub-elements of creativity, which can enhance gifted creativity. On the other hand, program contents developed by three middle schools focused on acceleration in advancement, and presented low ratio of creativity sub-elements, which could be insufficient in enhancing gifted creativity. Differentiated and personalized, integrated science and interscience, updated research contents were hardly found in programs developed by KEDI and three middle schools. However, teaching-learning methods were composed to fit the learning objectives in the teaching process and the procedures, and were made to self-directed learning. There were no assessment for the feedback after class. Therefore, teaching-learning programs for the gifted in science should be developed further in order to fulfill the objectives of gifted education and gifted characteristics. Also, it is necessary to construct infrastructure to carry out the developed teaching-learning programs.
This paper examines the effects on academic achievement, scientific process skills and affective domain for elementary students learning the 'Chicken life cycle' through traditional science class versus a smart media based STEAM approach. Students designed and built a hatching jar and created a smart media content for chickens using time-lapse technology. This STEAM program was developed to improve their scientific concepts of animals over nine periods of classes using integrated education methods. The experimental study took place in the third grade of public schools in a province, with the STEAM approach applied in 2 classes (44 students) and the traditional discipline approach implemented in 2 classes (46 students). The STEAM education significantly influenced the improvement of academic achievements, basic scientific process skills and affective domain. The results suggest that this STEAM approach for teaching scientific concepts of animal life cycles has the performance in terms of knowledge, skills and affect gain achievements in elementary school students' learning when compared to a traditional approach. Moreover, the smart media based STEAM program is helpful to lead students to engage in integrated problem-solving designs and learning science and technology.
