고등학생 자녀를 둔 어머니의 자녀교육에 대한 계획과 수행 (The Plannin And Implementing of Children's Education of Household with High School Student)

  • In this study it was assumed that planning was composed of three activities -resource assessment standard setting information seeking and implementing was composed of money investment and time investment, Two variable groups which were assumed to be related with planning and implementing were household characteristics and housewife's value characteristics. Money investment to children's education was significantly affected by income, net wealth of household instrumental value of eduation and information seeking about private education. The variables assumed to affect time investment to children's education were instrumental value of education information seeking about private education and expected education level.

  • 이 연구는 음악 이론과 실기를 효과적으로 가르칠 수 있는 교사의 능력 함양을 위하여 기악 교사의 PCK 함양을 위한 교수·학습 방향을 탐색해 보는 것이 목적이다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 기악 교사는 연주 능력을 함양하기 위해서는 교사가 개별적으로 지식을 습득하는 것 뿐만 아니라 실제 가르치는 경험을 통하여 PCK 지식을 체계적으로 쌓아나가는 과정이 중요하다. 둘째, 기악 교사가 PCK 함양을 위해서는 PCK의 다양한 구성 요소와 그 단계들을 명확하게 인지하고 이를 기악 학습 과정에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있는 능력을 갖출 수 있어야 한다. 셋째, PCK를 함양을 위해서 기악 수업의 목적과 목표 및 수업에 대한 학생들의 이해, 기악 수업에 관한 효과적인 교육 전략 및 학습자의 개별적 특성과 학습 수준을 고려한 적절하고 다양한 평가 제시가 가능해야 한다. 이러한 과정은 기악 교육의 질을 높이며 학생들의 전반적인 음악적 성장을 촉진하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 수 있을 것이다.

초등교사의 시각적 표상 활용 실태 및 시각적 표상의 기능에 대한 인식 (Elementary School Teachers' Use of Visual Representations and their Perceptions of the Functions of Visual Representations)

  • This study surveyed the elementary school teachers' use of visual representations and their perceptions of the functions of visual representations in the teaching of electricity unit. A total of 110 elementary teachers who have experiences in teaching electricity unit responded to online survey. The result showed firstly that most of the teachers use visual representations in their teaching and it is mostly limited to those presented in textbooks or images that they can get easily from internet search. Secondly, elementary teachers thought that they have high ability in using visual representations and low ability in understanding students' visual presentation ability. Thirdly, visual representations are more often preferred to be used as teacher-centered ways than student-centered ways for motivating students and conceptual understanding. However, in case of scientific inquiry, both teacher-centered and student-centered ways were equally preferred. Lastly, the teachers' perceptions of the functions of visual representations were categorized into 'teaching-instrumental function', 'learning-instrumental function', 'communicative-instrumental function' and 8 subcategories were found. The most frequent function was the 'information delivery function' in the 'teaching-instrumental function' category. Implications for teacher education and further studies were discussed.

Higher Education Expansion and Labor Market Outcomes: The Case of Vietnam

  • This study investigates how dramatic increase of university and college graduates affects labor market outcomes. Using a series of seven repeated cross sections of the Vietnam Household Living Standards Surveys, this paper analyzed the changes in the rate of returns to higher education attainment along with the increased supply of university and college graduates due to the higher education expansion throughout the 2002-2014 period. The study utilized a ratio of number of university and college students to the number of upper-secondary pupils within each province as an instrumental variable to calculate the effects of higher education expansion on the labor wage. The study found that, with the basic equations, the coefficients for higher education attainment are statistically significant and have positive values for the whole period. Our instrumental variables were found to be valid. For instrumental variable estimation, the return to higher education in IV earning equations was quite high. The findings of this study suggested that the expansion of the higher education system in Vietnam during 2002-2014 had positive effects on wages for those who increased their education attainment due to the reforms and there was a declining trend of the returns to higher education toward the end of the period.

도시주부의 대인적 지지, 생활긴장감 및 만족도 (Interpersonal support, Tension in life changes & Life satisfaction in Urban Housewives)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate interpersonal support, tension in lifechanges & satisfaction. The selected sample is composed of 387 housewives in ChongJoo city. SAS pc program was used for the statistical analysis of the data. Data was analyzed by frequency, F-test, percentage, mean, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Regression Analysis. Major findings as follows: 1)At wedding & funeral ceremony, kin networks of her parents & parents-in law side were variables to have influence on tension in life changes. And the number of social organization participated were a variable to have influence on the satisfaction. The age of couple, education of couple, duration of marriage, income, family lifecycle, the number of children, pattern of family were variables to influence tension in life changes, but were not variables to influence on the satisfaction. 2) At usual or wedding & funeral ceremony, kin networks of her parents side were variables to influence on instrumental & companionship support. And the number of friends was a variable to influence on companionship & informational support. The number of neighbors was a variable to influence on instrumental, companionship & informational support. The number of social organization participated was a variable to influence on companionship & emotional support. The age of couple, education of couple,income, duration of marriage, family life cycle, number of children, family size, family type were variables to influence on interpersonal support. 3)The relationship between tension and satisfaction in life changes was negative, and between instrumental support and satisfaction was negative also. But between companionship support and satisfaction was positive relationship and between tension of personal &social life and instrumental support was positive relationship. The relationship between tension of marriage life and companionship support was negative and between tension of family life and information support was negative relationships. The received companionship support was lower tension in life changes than not received it. But the received instrumental support was higher tension of personal & social life. The received companionship & informational support was higher satisfaction than not received them. But the received instrumental support was lower satisfaction than not received it. 4) Instrumental & companionship support, at usual kin network of her parents in taw side, at wedding & funeral ceremony kin network of her parents side,were variables to influence on tension in life changes. Integrating Digital Technology into Elementary Mathematics: Three Theoretical Perspectives

  • In this article, the author's intent is to begin a conversation centered on the question: How was the integration of digital technology into elementary mathematics classrooms framed? In the first part of the discussion, the author provides a historical perspective of the development of theoretical perspectives of the integration of digital technology in learning mathematics. Then, the author describes three theoretical perspectives of the role of digital technology in mathematics education: microworlds, instrumental genesis, and semiotic mediation. Last, based on three different theoretical perspectives, the author concludes the article by asking the reader to think differently.

가정과 교육의 발전방향을 모색하기 위한 가정과 교사들의 교수행동 분석 (An Analysis of Professional Teaching Practices Reported by Home Economics Teachers for Improving Home Economics Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the types of professional teaching practice of Home Economics teachers who are working at Korean secondary school for changing their professional teaching practice and developing home economics curriculum. A mail questionnaire, Professional Teaching Practice(PTP) was used to survey randomly selected 525 Home Economics teachers. The professional teaching practices examined were customary-instrumental, interactive and reflective practices. Customary-instrumental practice was the predominant type of professional teaching practice used by Home Economics teachers. About 26% of the teachers used reflective practice, and 14.67% used interactive practice. Only the number of students was significantly related to their professional teaching practices. Five influential factors on teaching practices identified by Home Economics teachers emerged in the following order: examination-centered educational system, lack of class hours, lack of resource materials and facilities, demands from the Ministry of Education, school administrators, or parents, and large class sizes.

전직융합교육과 전환학습의 연계 (Association of Outplacement Convergence Education and Transformative Learning)

  • 이 연구는 전환학습의 개념과 영역별 학습의 의미와 과정을 파악하고자 하였다. 전환학습은 세 가지 측면에서 학습이 이루어진다고 설명한다. 첫째, 도구적 학습은 가설 검증처럼 사실에 기초한 지식을 습득하는 과정에서 이루어지며, 둘째, 소통적 학습은 언어를 통해 타인의 생각이나 사회적 규범, 문화, 가치에 대한 의미를 인식하는 것이다. 셋째, 해방적 학습은 심리적, 문화적 가정에 기초하여 자기 자신을 이해하는 것으로 비판적 자기 성찰을 통해 진행된다. 전직융합교육의 시사점을 정리하면, 주요 목적은 이론구축, 운영 실제 전반에 있어서 전환학습으로의 관점 전환이 요구되며, 전직융합교육의 내용은 도구적 학습에서 소통적, 해방적 학습으로 전환되어야 한다는 것으로 요약된다.

노인의 주관적 건강과 사회적 지지가 사회적 자본 형성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of elderly's Perceived Health and Social Support on Social Capital Formation)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify factors(perceived health and social support) affecting social capital formation of the elderly. Methods: Samples consisted of 184 people aged over 65 years old in one county of Kyungsangbukdo. Data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA and regression analysis. Results: First, social support(both emotional support and instrumental support) were significantly different by economic status. Secondly, regression analysis showed that perceived health affected a positive influence on social capital in Model1, which analyzed only perceived health. However, Model2, which analyzed perceived health and social support(emotional support, instrumental support) at the same time, showed that only instrumental support affected social capital formation. Conclusions: It was suggested to develop customized health promotion and job creation are required for social capital formation of the elderly.

주간공동생활을 하는 농촌 노인의 일상생활활동 수행능력과 우울이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Instrumental Activities of Daily Living and Depression on the Life Satisfaction of the Elderly Living Together during the Daytime in the Rural Areas)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting the life satisfaction during the communal life of the elderly in rural areas. Methods: A total of 143 subjects were selected through convenient sampling. Data were collected in self-reporting questionnaires from 1 August to 30 August 2019. The data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results: The Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) was significantly different according to age, education, and cohabitation. Depression was significantly different according to gender, age, education, and cohabitation. Life satisfaction was significantly different according to age, education, religion, and cohabitation. There was a positive correlation between Instrumental Activities of Daily Living and depression, except for life satisfaction. 41.0% of life satisfaction was explained by depression, religion, and IADL. Conclusion: The results of this study may be useful in understanding the life satisfaction level of elderly communal life and developing more specific programs for mental activity programs, and depression management strategies are required.
