CONSECUTIVE CANCELLATIONS IN FILTERED FREE RESOLUTIONS

  • Let M be a finitely generated module over a regular local ring (R, n). We will fix an n-stable filtration for M and show that the minimal free resolution of M can be obtained from any filtered free resolution of M by zero and negative consecutive cancellations. This result is analogous to [10, Theorem 3.1] in the more general context of filtered free resolutions. Taking advantage of this generality, we will study resolutions obtained by the mapping cone technique and find a sufficient condition for the minimality of such resolutions. Next, we give another application in the graded setting. We show that for a monomial order ${\sigma}$, Betti numbers of I are obtained from those of $LT_{\sigma}(I)$ by so-called zero ${\sigma}$-consecutive cancellations. This provides a stronger version of the well-known cancellation "cancellation principle" between the resolution of a graded ideal and that of its leading term ideal, in terms of filtrations defined by monomial orders.

  • Let K be a finite cyclic extension of $k=\mathbb{F}_q(T)$ of prime degree ${\ell}$. Let ${\tilde{\mathcal{C}}}l_{K,{\ell}}$ be the Sylow ${\ell}$-subgroup of the ideal class group ${\tilde{\mathcal{C}}}l_K$ of $\mathcal{O}_K$. The structure of ${\tilde{\mathcal{C}}}l_{K,{\ell}}$ as $\mathbb{Z}_{\ell}[G]$/<$N_G$>-module is determined the dimensions $${\lambda}_i\;:=dim_{\mathbb{F}_{\ell}}({\tilde{\mathcal{C}}}l_{K,{\ell}}^{({\sigma}-1)^{i-1}}/{\tilde{\mathcal{C}}}l_{K,{\ell}}^{({\sigma}-1)^i})$$ for $i{\geq}1$. In this paper we investigate the dimensions ${\lambda}_1$ and ${\lambda}_2$.

Sb/Bi비가 ZnO-Bi2O3-Sb2O3-Mn3O4-Co3O4 바리스터의 소결과 입계 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Sb/Bi Ratio on Sintering and Grain Boundary Properties of ZnO-Bi2O3-Sb2O3-Mn3O4-Co3O4 Varistor)

  • In this study we aims to examine the co-doping effects of 1/3 mol% $Mn_3O_4+Co_3O_4$ (1:1) on the reaction, microstructure, and electrical properties such as the bulk defects and grain boundary properties of $ZnO-Bi_2O_3-Sb_2O_3$ (ZBS; Sb/Bi=0.5, 1.0, and 2.0) varistors. The sintering and electrical properties of Mn,Co-doped ZBS, ZBS(MCo) varistors were controlled by Sb/Bi ratio. Pyrochlore ($Zn_2Bi_3Sb_3O_{14}$) was decomposed and promoted densification at lower temperature on heating in Sb/Bi=1.0 by Mn rather than Co. Pyrochlore on cooling was reproduced in all systems however, spinel (${\alpha}$- or ${\beta}$-polymorph) did not formed in Sb/Bi=0.5. More homogeneous microstructure was obtained in $Sb/Bi{\geq}1.0$ In ZBS(MCo), the varistor characteristics were improved drastically (non-linear coefficient, ${\alpha}$=30~49), and seemed to form $Zn_i^{..}$(0.17 eV) and $V_o^{\bullet}$(0.33 eV) as dominant defects. From impedance and modulus spectroscopy (IS & MS), the grain boundaries have divided into two types, i.e. the one is tentatively assign to $ZnO/Bi_2O_3(Mn,Co)/ZnO$ (0.47 eV) and the other ZnO/ZnO (0.80~0.89 eV) homojunctions.

스마트무인기 비행운용프로그램 개발 (Development of Operational Flight Program for Smart UAV)

  • 스마트무인기의 비행제어컴퓨터는 탑재장비와의 입/출력 신호처리, 비행제어법칙 연산 그리고 고장진단 및 이중화 기능 등이 구현된 비행운용프로그램이 탑재되어 있다. 비행운용프로그램은 PowerPC 755 프로세서와 VxWorks 5.5 실시간운영체제 환경에서 개발되었다. 비행운용프로그램은 메모리 참조 모듈, 탑재장비 입/출력 신호처리 모듈 그리고 비행제어법칙 모듈로 구성되었고 각각의 모듈은 계층 구조로 설계되었다. 메모리 참조 모듈과 신호처리 모듈은 벤치 테스트를 통해 검증되었고, 비행제어법칙 모듈은 시뮬레이션 시험, 지상통합시험, 안전줄 시험 그리고 비행시험을 통해 검증되었다. 본 논문에서는 비행운용프로그램의 개발환경, 소프트웨어 구조 그리고 검증 및 관리방법에 대해서 기술하였다.

적층형 통신 모듈을 이용한 산업용 통신 게이트웨이 설계 (Design of Industrial Communication Gateway Using Additive Layer Type Communication Module)

  • 산업 통신에는 다양한 네트워크가 있으며 여러 가지 통신 방식을 사용한다. 기업에서는 생산 라인 확장, 공장 업그레이드, 네트워크 세분화, 시스템 통합 등을 위하여 산업용 장치와 네트워크 간에 통신 변환이 필요하다. 이것은 많은 제조회사가 제작한 설계자가 다른 다양한 기계 장치를 네트워크에 연결하고 전송하기 위하여 데이터 또는 프로토콜 변환을 위한 통신 장비가 제공되어야함을 의미한다. 본 논문에서는 적층형 통신 모듈을 사용하여 산업 통신 프로토콜 변환을 지원할 수 있는 산업용 통신 게이트웨이를 설계하였다. 제작된 게이트웨이는 RS485 시리얼 통신을 이용하는 개별 통신 모듈을 다층으로 연결하는 구조를 가지고 있다. 각각의 통신 모듈은 아날로그 데이터 카드, 디지털 데이터 카드, CAN 및 LAN 지원 카드로 구성하였다. 메인 보드 프로세서는 Atmega micro-processor를 사용하였고, RS485 시리얼 슬롯을 배치하여 적층형 통신 모듈 구조를 가지도록 하였다. 본 논문에서 제작된 적층형 산업용 통신 게이트웨이는 아날로그 및 디지털 I/O 기능과 CAN과 LAN을 지원할 수 있기 때문에 산업용 통신 제어 및 모니터링에 폭넓게 활용될 수 있다.

고염도 폐수 농축을 위한 평판형 정삼투막 모듈의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Plate-and-Frame Forward Osmosis Membrane Module for Concentrating High Salinity Wastewater)

  • Hydraulic fracturing of wells during oil and gas (O&G) exploration consumes large volumes of fresh water and generates larger volumes of contaminated wastewater with high salinity. It is critical to treat and reuse the O&G wastewater in a cost-effective and environmentally sound manner for sustainable industrial development and for meeting stringent regulations. Recently, forward osmosis (FO) has been examined if it is a promising solution for treatment and desalination of complex industrial streams and especially fracturing flowback and produced waters. In the present study, the performances of a plate-and-frame FO membrane element and a module (6 elements combined in series) were investigated for concentrating high TDS wastewater. An FO module has achieved up to 64 % water recovery (i.e., concentration factor of 2.76) from 10,000 ppm wastewaters and can concentrate feed streams salinities to greater than 30,500 ppm.

  • This study aims at developing the high speed/intelligent machining system suing the plug/play method of an open architecture controller. The plug/play technology by the Application Specific Function (ASF), can readily implement the open architecture controller into various machining system or other automatic equipments. For the open architecture controller, this study developed the open HMI, screen editor, ASF, visual builder, and controller OS technology as software components. On the other hand, we developed the I/O module and main board as control hardware system. This study, as an example, presents integration of individual component technologies for the plug/play type open architecture CNC system.

  • In this paper, a multi-functional control module is developed to improve the confidence of $CO_2$ welding. In the developed system, a main controller of an automatic welding system including I/O port is modulated by microprocessor. The developed multi-functional control module is familiarized to the conventional automatic welding system. Therefore, the confidence of $CO_2$ welding is improved when the main controller of an automatic welding system is broken down.

  • The personal video recorder is a consumer electronics device that records television shows to a hard disk in digital format. In this paper, we propose an implementation method of personal video recorder for digital TV. The proposed personal video recorder includes cpu and system control modules, graphics and display module, audio DSP module, digital I/O module, NIM module, graphic software library, and embedded software modules for providing a lot of PVR functions such as live or reserved recordings, browsing of recorded content list, trick play and time shifting. Especially, combining trick play with time shifting makes much more convenient functions such as pausing live TV, instant replay of interesting scenes, and skipping advertising.

  • A remote data communication system for monitoring of NC machine fault diagnosis and status is developed. This system communicates with host PC by using dial-up communication method on PSTN. The developed system consists of (1)remote communication module among NC's and host PC using PSTN, (2) 8 channels analog data sensing module, (3) digital I/O module for control of NC machine, (4) communication module between NC machine and remote data communication system using RS-232c, and (5) Software man-machine interface. This system may be applied for remote sensing of the status in Fms. To show the veridity of the developed system, several examples are illustrated.
