  • Let M be a real hypersurface of a complex space form with constant curvature c. In this paper, we study the hypersurface M admitting Miao-Tam critical metric, i.e., the induced metric g on M satisfies the equation: $-({\Delta}_g{\lambda})g+{\nabla}^2_g{\lambda}-{\lambda}Ric=g$, where ${\lambda}$ is a smooth function on M. At first, for the case where M is Hopf, c = 0 and $c{\neq}0$ are considered respectively. For the non-Hopf case, we prove that the ruled real hypersurfaces of non-flat complex space forms do not admit Miao-Tam critical metrics. Finally, it is proved that a compact hypersurface of a complex Euclidean space admitting Miao-Tam critical metric with ${\lambda}$ > 0 or ${\lambda}$ < 0 is a sphere and a compact hypersurface of a non-flat complex space form does not exist such a critical metric.

  • Let M be a real hypersurface with almost contact metric structure $({\phi},{\xi},{\eta},g)$ of a nonflat complex space form whose structure Jacobi operator $R_{\xi}=R({\cdot},{\xi}){\xi}$ is ${\xi}$-parallel. In this paper, we prove that the condition ${\nabla}_{\xi}R_{\xi}=0$ characterize the homogeneous real hypersurfaces of type A in a complex projective space $P_n{\mathbb{C}}$ or a complex hyperbolic space $H_n{\mathbb{C}}$ when $g({\nabla}_{\xi}{\xi},{\nabla}_{\xi}{\xi})$ is constant.

  • In this article, we consider a homogeneous function of degree four in quaternionic vector spaces and $S^{4n+3}$ which is invariant under $S^3$ and U(n + 1)-action. We show it is an isoparametric function providing isoparametric hypersurfaces in $S^{4n+3}$ with g = 4 distinct principal curvatures and isoparametric hypersurfaces in quaternionic projective spaces with g = 5. This extends study of Nomizu on isoparametric function on complex vector spaces and complex projective spaces.

  • Let M be a real hypersurface with almost contact metric structure $(\phi,g,\xi,\eta)$ in a complex space form $M_n(c)$, $c\neq0$. In this paper we prove that if $R_{\xi}L_{\xi}g=0$ holds on M, then M is a Hopf hypersurface in $M_n(c)$, where $R_{\xi}$ and $L_{\xi}$ denote the structure Jacobi operator and the operator of the Lie derivative with respect to the structure vector field $\xi$ respectively. We characterize such Hopf hypersurfaces of $M_n(c)$.

  • This paper concerns the evolution of a closed hypersurface of the hyperbolic space, convex by horospheres, in direction of its inner unit normal vector, where the speed equals a positive power ${\beta}$ of the positive mean curvature. It is shown that the flow exists on a finite maximal interval, convexity by horospheres is preserved and the hypersurfaces shrink down to a single point as the final time is approached.

  • Let M be a $C^{\infty}$ real hypersurface in $\mathbb{C}^{n+1}$, $n\;{\geq}\;1$, locally given as the zero locus of a $C^{\infty}$ real valued function r that is defined on a neighborhood of the reference point $P\;{\in}\;M$. For each k = 1,..., n we present a necessary and sufficient condition for there to exist a complex manifold of dimension k through P that is contained in M, assuming the Levi form has rank n - k at P. The problem is to find an integral manifold of the real 1-form $i{\partial}r$ on M whose tangent bundle is invariant under the complex structure tensor J. We present generalized versions of the Frobenius theorem and make use of them to prove the existence of complex submanifolds.

  • In this paper, we consider two kinds of derivatives for the shape operator of a real hypersurface in a $K{\ddot{a}}hler$ manifold which are named the Lie derivative and the covariant derivative with respect to the k-th generalized Tanaka-Webster connection ${\hat{\nabla}}^{(k)}$. The purpose of this paper is to study Hopf hypersurfaces in complex Grassmannians of rank two, whose Lie derivative of the shape operator coincides with the covariant derivative of it with respect to ${\hat{\nabla}}^{(k)}$ either in direction of any vector field or in direction of Reeb vector field.

  • Recently one of the present authors [2] asserted that a real hypersurface of a complex space form M$^{n}$ (c), c.neq.0, is of cyclic parallel if and only if AJ=JA and he showed also a complete and connected cyclic-parallel real hypersurface of M$^{n}$ (c), is congruent to type $A_{1}$, $A_{2}$ or A according as c>0 or c<0. A real hypersurface of a complex space form M$^{n}$ (c) is said to be covariantly cyclic constant if the cyclic sum of covariant derivative of the second fundamental form is constant. The purpose of the present paper is to extend theorem 3 and 4 in [2] when the hypersurfaces are of coveriantly cyclic constant, that is a real hypersurface of a complex space form M$^{n}$ (c), c.neq.0, is of covariantly cyclic constant if an only if AJ=JA, and a complete and connected covariantly cyclic constant real hypersurface of M$^{n}$ (c) is congruent to type $A_{1}$, $A_{2}$ or a according as c>0 or c<0.

  • The $M{\ddot{o}}bius$ homogeneous submanifold in ${\mathbb{S}}^{n+1}$ is an orbit of a subgroup of the $M{\ddot{o}}bius$ transformation group of ${\mathbb{S}}^{n+1}$. In this note, We prove that a compact $M{\ddot{o}}bius$ homogeneous submanifold in ${\mathbb{S}}^{n+1}$ is the image of a $M{\ddot{o}}bius$ transformation of the isometric homogeneous submanifold in ${\mathbb{S}}^{n+1}$.

  • In this paper, we introduce the notion of semi-symmetric structure Jacobi operator for Hopf real hypersufaces in the complex quadric Qm = SOm+2/SOmSO2. Next we prove that there does not exist any Hopf real hypersurface in the complex quadric Qm = SOm+2/SOmSO2 with semi-symmetric structure Jacobi operator. As a corollary, we also get a non-existence property of Hopf real hypersurfaces in the complex quadric Qm with either symmetric (parallel), or recurrent structure Jacobi operator.
