  • Within the rapidly changing environment of global economics, the environment of higher education in the universities & companies, also, has been, encountering various changes. Popularization on higher education related to lifetime education system, putting emphasis on the productivity of education services and the acquisition of competitiveness through the market of open education, the breakdown of the ivory tower and the Multiversitization of universities & companies, importance of obtaining information in the universities & companies, and cooperation between domestic and oversea universities, industry and educational system must be acquired. Therefore, in order to adequately cope with these kinds of rapid changes in the education environment, operating E-Learning Education & company by utilizing various information technologies and its fixations such as Internet, E-mail. CD-ROMs. Interactive Video Networks (Video Conferencing, Video on Demand), CableTV etc., which has no time or location limitation, is needed.

초등학교 고학년생의 응급처치 교육실태 및 교육 요구도 (A Study on The Actual Condition and Demand Assessment of First Aid Education on Higher Grade Students in Elementary School)

  • Background and Purpose : Higher grade students in elementary schools are most adequate subjects for first aid training. The purpose of this study was to assess first aid education and needs of higher grade students in elementary schools. Method : The subjects of this study were 183 higher grade students from 8 elementary schools. Data were collected by the questionnaire during the period from March 19 to April 13, 2007. The data were analyzed through frequency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, Independent Two samples t-test, One Way ANOVA by SPSS win 12.0. Result : 1. It showed that 78.1%(143 persons) of sujects answered that they learned first aid. 65% of sujects learned in the school(65%). 61.2% of sujects were taught by health teachers. 36.7%(67 person) of subjects was educated using practice with demonstration including lecture. Learned contents were action at emergency(50.8%), CPR(36.6%), splint (33.9%). 2. It showed that 90.2%(165 persons) of subjects answered that first aid and CPR education are necessary. Also 74.9%(137 persons) of subjects answered that will be educated first aid and CPR if opportunities is given. The 53.3%(73 persons) of subjects wanted teaching method using practice with demonstration including lecture. 3. The total mean showed $2.29{\pm}.48$ in needs of first aid education by 3 points Likert scale. Needs of first aid education was ranked Heimlich maneuver($2.41{\pm}.65$), splint and bandaging($2.38{\pm}.59$). Priority of intensive training showed patient assessment(38.0%) and CPR(19.7%) in first, splint and bandging(22.6%), CPR(21.9%) and Heimlich maneuver(21.9%) in second. 4. The needs assessment of first aid education showed statistically significant differences according to teaching method(F = 2.563, p = .025), education necessity yes or no(F = 2.474, p = .015), attending future education yes or no(F = 2.253, p = .026). Conclusion : These results suggest that First aid education for higher grade students in elementary schools must be consisted of most adequate content and method based on current education condition and needs assessment.

한국과 미국 초등 예비교사들의 연소에 대한 개념 비교 (Comparison of Korean and American Elementary School Pre-Service Teachers' Concepts on Combustion)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate concepts of Korean and American elementary school pre-service teachers on combustion, and to compare the concepts of Korean pre-service teachers with those of American pre-service teachers. For this study, concept test on combustion was administered to 23 Korean and 18 American elementary school pre-service teachers. The test composed of 6 items: 'Definition of combustion', 'The reason why a candle in a glass bottle is blown out when the bottle was closed', 'The change of gases in the bottle when a candle burns in it', 'The combustion products of a candle', 'The combustion products of steel wool', and 'The combustion products of a substance'. The results showed that the rates of elementary school pre-service teachers who had scientific concepts on combustion were very low in both Korean and American pre-service teachers' groups, although they were a little different from items. However the rates of pre-service teachers who had partial concepts and misconceptions on combustion were high in two groups. The levels of Korean elementary school pre-service teachers' concepts were a little higher than those of American elementary school pre-service teachers' concepts. The contents and activities on combustion which are in Korean and American science textbooks seem to affect building up their concepts on combustion.

Effects of Programming-based TPACK Education Program on the Teaching Expertise of Pre-service Teachers

  • 본 연구에서는 김성원과 이영준(2019)의 프로그래밍 기반 TPACK 교육 프로그램이 예비 교사의 수업 전문성에 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 연구 대상은 40명의 예비 교사이며, 두 집단으로 나누어 처치를 진행하였다. 실험 집단(n=20)에게는 프로그래밍 기반 TPACK 교육 프로그램을 처치하고, 통제 집단(n=20)에게는 ICT 도구 기반 TPACK 교육 프로그램을 적용하였다. 예비 교사의 수업 전문성 변화를 분석하기 위하여 수업 전문성, 교수 효능감, 테크놀로지 통합 자아효능감을 측정하는 검사 도구를 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 통제 집단과 달리 실험 집단은 수업 전문성과 교수 효능감, 테크놀로지 통합 자아효능감이 유의하게 향상되었다. 사전 검사에서는 실험 집단과 통제 집단이 유의한 차이가 존재하지 않았지만, 사후 검사에서는 실험 집단이 통제 집단보다 수업 전문성이 유의하게 높았다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 프로그래밍을 활용한 TPACK 교육이 예비 교사의 수업 전문성 발달에 효과적인 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Responses of Labeo rohita to Dietary Lathyrus sativus Seeds

  • Lathyrus sativus, locally known as Khesari, is a leguminous pulse crop grown in many parts of the world for food (used by poor people) and animal feed/fodder. Its seeds are rich in protein and energy but contains anti-nutritional factors prominent among which is ${\beta}$-N-Oxalylamino-L-Alanine (BOAA), a neurotoxin causing lathyrism in humans due to prolong consumption. Keeping in view the chemical characteristics of this toxin and literary facts on L. sativus feeding in terrestrial animals, it was hypothesized that aquatic species may better utilise this ingredient in mixed extruded diets. Diets were prepared with varying levels (0, 10, 18, 26 and 34%) of L. sativus seeds and fed for 60 days to study growth, body composition and digestibility of nutrients. Final body weight, specific growth rate and feed and protein conversion ratio did not differ (p>0.05) between treatments. Crude protein digestibility was reduced (p<0.01) beyond 26% inclusion level of L. sativus. Final carcass composition with regard to protein, lipid and ash did not differ (p>0.05) among the treatments. Comparable craniosomatic, viscerosomatic, renosomatic and hepatic indices and no mortality implies no apparent adverse effect on the vital organs and fish health. It was concluded that L. sativus can be a promising feed ingredient that can be used up to 34% or possibly higher level in fingerlings diet. To our knowledge, it appears to be the first report of its kind under laboratory conditions.

급식운영방식에 따른 60세 이상 환자들의 급식 만족도 - B병원을 대상으로 - (Foodservice Satisfaction of Patients over 60 according to the Type of Foodservice Operation: The Case of B Hospital)

  • This study measures patients' meal satisfaction according to the type of operation (self-operation and contract operation) and identifies improvement areas. A survey was conducted using 183 contract operation patients and 60 self-operation patients receiving general meals. The mean score for satisfaction for the whole sample was 3.42 (self-operation = 3.51; contract operation = 3.39), and self-operation satisfaction was significantly higher than contract operation satisfaction. Mean scores were 2.98 for food, 3.26 for menu composition, 3.57 for sanitation, 3.78 for distribution meal services, and 3.50 for menu information. Self-operation showed a higher satisfaction level than the contract operation in food and menu composition. The ccontract operation showed a higher level of satisfaction than self-operation in sanitation, distribution meal services, and menu information. In terms of feeling dissatisfaction with meal services, both groups showed the highest dissatisfaction with food and menus, and both groups agreed on food and menus that required the greatest improvement. Based on the results, contract operation managers should develop and apply menus considering their preferences. Dietitians of self-operation strengthen communication between meal service staff and patients by carrying out periodic and systematic service education on self-operation.

간호·간병통합서비스 병동 신규간호사 대상 핵심기본간호술기향상 교육프로그램 개발 및 적용 (The Development and Application of Core Fundamental Nursing Skills Improvement Education Program for New Nurses in Comprehensive Nursing Care Ward)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the development and application of the new nurses' core skill program on the clinical skill, confidence, knowledge and performance of new nurses. Methods: This study was a nonequivalent control group post-test design on 46 new nurses with 3 to 6 months work experience in a general hospital. Data were collected from August 2015 to August 2016. A training program of core fundamental nursing skills was applied on 23 new nurses from 2016 in the experiment group, and an existing training method was applied on 23 new nurses from 2015 in the comparison group. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results: The experimental group ($89{\pm}4.29$) showed higher score in practical skill assessment compared to the control group ($85.09{\pm}3.99$) and showed a statistically significant difference (p<001). Conclusion: A training program of core fundamental nursing skills for new nurses proved effective in improving practical skills. Further research on the development of a systemic training program that can improve clinical nursing knowledge and work ability for new nurses according to the extended enforcement of a Nursing Care Integrated Service ward is needed.

해양 산성화(Ocean Acidification)에 대한 초등 예비교사들의 이해 (Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Understanding of Ocean Acidification)

  • This study used questionnaires to investigate how pre-service elementary teachers understand ocean acidification. As a result of gender, female teachers were more aware of ocean acidification than male teachers, but male teachers had a higher average rate of correct answers, with a lower standard deviation. Teachers from the natural sciences knew more about ocean acidification than did teachers the liberal arts. Teachers ranked environmental crisis in order of most dangerous to least dangerous as follow: global warming and the greenhouse effect, ozone depletion, ocean acidification, and acid rain. About 46.7% of teachers learn about ocean acidification through education, followed by broadcasts, school lectures and the internet. The educational materials most desired for teachers were videos related to ocean acidification. Pre-service elementary teachers have two broad perspectives on ocean acidification. Firstly, they refer to economic loss and food shortages, and secondly, they note that there is a need for improved awareness and publicity about ocean acidification. The role of elementary school teachers is important because their awareness of environmental issues has a considerable effect on teachers perception of the environment. Revitalizing education on ocean acidification and government support are necessary to effectively communicate the seriousness of ocean acidification. Lastly, we need to study ocean acidification in detail so as to be able to persevere toward protecting our ocean ecosystem.

어린이집 보건교육과 건강관리 현황 분석 (Health Education and Health Care in Daycare Centers for Preschoolers)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to understand the needs of teachers in daycare centers for preschoolers in providing health education and health care services and to identify competencies and barriers to health education among the teachers. Method: A total of 410 teachers from 496 public daycare centers were recruited. Participating daycare centers were selected using a stratified sampling method. Data were collected from June to August 2002 using mailed questionnaires. Result: About 37% of the daycare centers provided health education more than 6 times during the past year and 92% provided annual health screenings. Traffic safety, personal hygiene, and sexuality education were most frequently provided. Regarding in-service education for daycare teachers, 62.7% had obtained health related education. Sexuality education, traffic accident, and injury prevention were the main topics for the in-service education. The teachers had relatively higher competencies and lower barriers to health education, while they also had proper knowledge related to health of children. Conclusion: Based on the study results, health professionals could plan and develop health promotion programs to meet the needs of teachers and children in daycare centers.

직업 이동성증대 시대의 뉴서비스러닝 연구 (A Study of New Service Learning in the Age of Increasing Occupational Mobility)

  • 본 연구는 기존 교육 시스템에 대한 여러 진화와 대안을 살펴보고 최근의 서비스경제 시대까지 진화되어온 교육의 발전과 2016년 세계경제포럼(WEF)의 인간역량에 대한 새로운 접근법까지 포괄하는 보다 구체적인 교육시스템의 단계를 제안해 보고자 하였다. 제4차 산업혁명의 급속한 전개에 따라 직업의 의미가 변화하고 있다. 향후의 직업교육은 직업 이동이 빈번하게 일어날 것을 예상하면서 그에 맞는 교육방법론을 채택할 필요가 있다. 새로운 교육 방법론은 이전에 없던 기술이 기존의 문화와 충돌하면서 다양한 융합이 일어나는 현상을 대비하는 모델이 필요하다. 그리고 산업과 사회의 문제를 실제 교육시스템에 연결하기 위하여 인간의 역량과 환경에 대한 고차원적 교육철학이 새롭게 요구된다. 본 연구는 제4차 산업혁명에 따른 교육 수요 변화를 살펴보면서 직업 수퍼모빌리티시대의 새로운 교육시스템으로서 New Service Learning의 도입 필요성을 제시하고 구체적인 개념을 설명하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 New Service Learning을 혁신성, 현대성, 지속가능성, 인문성, 기술성이라는 5개의 개념으로 나누어서 의미를 살펴보았다. 향후 본 연구에서 제시한 New Service Learning의 개념을 실증분석하여 연구를 보완할 필요가 있다.
