  • In this work, we characterize some matrix classes concerning the Binomial sequence spaces br,s and br,sp, where 1 ≤ p < ∞. Moreover, by using the notion of Hausdorff measure of noncompactness, we characterize the class of compact matrix operators from br,s0, br,sc and br,s into c0, c and ℓ, respectively.

  • This paper is dedicated to studying some Hausdorff operators on the Heisenberg group ${\mathbb{H}}^n$. The sharp bounds on the strong-type weighted Lorentz spaces ${\Lambda}^p_u(w)$ and the weak-type weighted Lorentz spaces ${\Lambda}^{p,{\infty}}_u(w)$ are investigated. Especially, the results cover the classical power weighted space $L^{p,q}_{\alpha}$. The results are also extended to the product spaces ${\Lambda}^{p_1}_{u_1}(w_1){\times}{\Lambda}^{p_2}_{u_2}(w_2)$, especially for $L^{p_1,q_1}_{{\alpha}_1}{\times}L^{p_2,q_2}_{{\alpha}_2}$. Our proofs are quite different from those in previous documents since the duality principle, and some well-known inequalities concerning the weights are adopted. The results recover the existing results as well as we obtain new results in the new and old settings.

  • A new type of more general form of variational inequalities for quasi-pseudo-monotone type III and strong quasi-pseudo-monotone type III operators has been obtained on compact domains in locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces. These more general forms of variational inequalities for the above types of operators used the more general form of minimax inequality by Chowdhury and Tan in [3] as the main tool to derive them. Our new results established in this paper should have potential applications in nonlinear analysis and related applications, e.g., see Aubin [1], Yuan [11] and references wherein.

  • In this paper, we prove some existence results of solutions for a new class of generalized bi-quasi-variational-like inequalities (GBQVLI) for (${\eta}-h$)-quasi-pseudo-monotone type I and strongly (${\eta}-h$)-quasi-pseudo-monotone type I operators defined on non-compact sets in locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces. To obtain our results on GBQVLI for (${\eta}-h$)-quasi-pseudo-monotone type I and strongly (${\eta}-h$)-quasi-pseudo-monotone type I operators, we use Chowdhury and Tan's generalized version of Ky Fan's minimax inequality as the main tool.

  • We give the characterizations of the classes of matrix trans-formations ($m(\phi),{\ell}_p$), ($n(\phi),{\ell}_p$) ([5, Theorem 2]), (${\ell}_p,m(\phi)$) ([5, Theorem 1]) and (${\ell}_p,n(\phi)$) for $1{\leq}p{\leq}{\infty}$, establish estimates for the norms of the bounded linear operators defined by those matrix transformations and characterize the corresponding subclasses of compact matrix operators.

  • Let A be a normed space, ${\mathcal{B}}(A)$ the algebra of all bounded operators on A, and V a family of strongly upper semicontinuous functions from a Hausdorff completely regular space X into ${\mathcal{B}}(A)$. In this paper, we investigate some properties of the weighted spaces CV (X, A) of all A-valued continuous functions f on X such that the mapping $x{\mapsto}v(x)(f(x))$ is bounded on X, for every $v{\in}V$, endowed with the topology generated by the seminorms ${\parallel}f{\parallel}v={\sup}\{{\parallel}v(x)(f(x)){\parallel},\;x{\in}X\}$. Our main purpose is to characterize continuous, bounded, and locally equicontinuous weighted composition operators between such spaces.

  • Let X be a completely regular Hausdorff space, and E and F be Banach spaces. Let $C_{rc}(X,E)$ be the Banach space of all continuous functions $f:X{\rightarrow}E$ such that f(X) is a relatively compact set in E. We establish an integral representation theorem for bounded linear operators $T:C_{rc}(X,E){\rightarrow}F$. We characterize continuous operators from $C_{rc}(X,E)$, provided with the strict topologies ${\beta}_z(X,E)$ ($z={\sigma},{\tau}$) to F, in terms of their representing operator-valued measures.

  • There are presented certain results on extending continuous linear operators defined on spaces of E-valued continuous functions (defined on a compact Hausdorff space X) to linear operators defined on spaces of E-valued measurable functions in a way such that uniformly bounded sequences of functions that converge pointwise in the weak (or norm) topology of E are sent to sequences that converge in the weak, norm or weak* topology of the target space. As an application, a new description of uniform closures of convex subsets of C(X, E) is given. Also new and strong results on integral representations of continuous linear operators defined on C(X, E) are presented. A new classes of vector measures are introduced and various bounded convergence theorems for them are proved.
