This Study aims to show that hats are a form of plastic arts the ideal means which provides characteristics aura for the appearance of a per-son and expresses his personality. And analyizing the characteristics and function of the hat designs this study examines the formative aes-thetic of hats and tries to show the possibility of developing the modern hat design. For the purpose this study needs to consider these points: First on the basis of the study of the culture of clothes from the ancient to the modern the origin of hats and the process of changes in hats are examined. Secondly after analyizing of the formative aestheic of hats focussed on the form and tex-ture this study tries to explore. Thirdly the symbolic meaning of hats is stud-ied and then how it was applied to the modern hat design is considered. On the basis of these considerations the conclusions of this study are as follows: First we can see that all the basic shapes of hats were formed very early in the history and hats' shapes were transformed rather by the changer of the size decoration and proportion of hats than by that of hat's form itself. Secondly analyizing various works of hat designers by focussing on the aspects of the for-mative aesthetic this study can find that the formative aesthetic of hat design is very import-ant in changing silhouette of clothes and it has may possibilities of development to meet the modern sense. And lastly this study suggests that in apply-ing hats which had been symbolically used to the modern sense we should pay attention not to simply imitate them but to recreate the aes-thetic characteristics of hat designs so that we can develop the style of hats including both practical function and aesthetic element.

The hat excavated from the tomb of Hojeo-myon Wonsung-gun in Kangwon province was dry-cleaned and restored. The hat was made of wool felt and decorated with several strands of silk cord. It was very dirty and moth-eaten. After getting rid of the particle soils on a surface with painting brush, the hat was dry-cleaned using perchloroethylene applying the minimum force, and blotting paper was used for drying. During cleaning, it was supported by the stainless steel net. The weight loss was 7.94% after cleaning. The soils sticked on the hat was removed clearly. The texture of the hat became softer after cleaning. Color difference(∆E) was 2.57, which is a noticeable change. The color became clear and changed to the red and yellow range. After dry-cleaning, the hat was repaired. Dislocated silk cords were fixed to the right place by stitching with silk yarn. To keep the shape of the hat, it should be supported by a hat-shaped stiff net during exibition and storing.

Cette $\acute{e}$tude a pour objectif de d$\acute{e}$velopper le g$\acute{e}$otourisme des $\hat{i}$les de Geomun et de Baek dans le Parc Marin National de Dadohae pour conna$\hat{i}$tre les caract$\acute{e}$ristiques de cette r$\acute{e}$gion du point de vue $\acute{e}$cologique, historique et culturel $\grave{a}$ partir de ses ressources g$\acute{e}$omorphiques et g$\acute{e}$ologiques qui ont la haute de valeur $prot{\acute{e}}g{\acute{e}}e$. Il y a plusieurs ressources g$\acute{e}$omorphiques et g$\acute{e}$ologiques sur l'$\hat{i}$le de Baek: falaise; caverne marine; tafoni; le relief li$\acute{e}$ $\grave{a}$ les roches volcaniques. Il y a aussi plusieurs ressources historiques et culturels sur les $\hat{i}$les de Go et d'Est: le cimeti$\grave{a}$r d'arm$\acute{e}$e anglaise li$\acute{e}$e $\grave{a}$ l'occupation ill$\acute{e}$gale de l'$\hat{i}$le de Geomun en 1885; le site historique de Kim Ryu(金劉) qui a enseign$\acute{e}$ les disciples de confucianisme et qui a $succ{\acute{e}}d{\acute{e}}$ au Confucius; la for$\hat{e}$t de feuillus de zone $temp{\acute{e}}r{\acute{e}}e$ sur l'$\hat{i}$le d'Ouest et la ceinture de falaise sur l'$\hat{i}$le de Baek. Une route g$\acute{e}$otouristique part de l'$\hat{i}$le d'Ouest et continue $\grave{a}$ l'$\hat{i}$le d'Est: c'est la route $\acute{e}$cologique, historique et culturel sur l'$\hat{i}$le de Geomun. L'autre route continue de la c$\hat{o}$te de l'$\hat{i}$le de Baek: c'est la route de paysages g$\acute{e}$omorphiques et g$\acute{e}$ologiques. Nous proposons des plusieurs exemples pour d$\acute{e}$velopper le g$\acute{e}$otourisme des $\hat{i}$les de Geomun et de Baek: installation de centre visiteur et de panneaux d'explication g$\acute{e}$otouristique sur le g$\acute{e}$osite central ; monitoring environmental.

As rate in an elderly population and expanding their range of activity rapidly increase, the demographics of the elderly population on a use of transportation also rise. Elderly pedestrians often find it difficult to react promptly to the traffic accidents as they are less perceptive of the dangers present under the situation. More than half of the elderly traffic accidents are elderly pedestrian accidents in road. Therefore, we design and implement smart safety hat for safety of elderly pedestrian. The smart safety hat binds stripe-shaped LED around a hat in order for a driver to perceive pedestrian easy and quickly. Features of smart safety hat include controlling the number of LEDs by using a light sensor and warning through vibration using a sound sensor. Also, we used Bluetooth to communicate with the smartphone to enable user customization of the light and numbers of LEDs.

This study is concerned with the jang il (　日). The purpose of this study was to trace the origin of jang il and to identify forms and the meaning of it. Significant findings and results of this research can be summerized as follows : It was found that jang il was a kind of brimmed hat with a round crown. People of Han Dynasty period wore jang il. It was favored by the people of Wei Chin (魏晉) Dynasty period of China and was a very popular hat in these periods. It was used by farmers and merchants. It was found that jang il was worn by a tribe of Kang(羌) in prehistorical period. It is considered that jang il of the Chinese, was derived from the people of Kang(羌). In the Tang and Five Dynasty periods women also wore jang il. Women from the upper class appeared used jang il. It appeared that Koguryoreans also used jang il : it was a kind of black wide brimmed hat with a round crown. which can be found in the tomb paintings of Yong Kang(龍崗). A horse rider wears jang il.

Hats are an important part of the fashion accessory business and Their importance is increasing year by year. Their importance is increasing not only as a means of accessory ut also as a means of sportswear due to the leisure-sports boom of the 90's. As hats are becoming more and more popular and ready-made, demand for comfortable and easy-fitting hats are increasing. Being an piece of apparel, fitting is very important factor in hats as well s in other forms of clothing. But many hat-wears complain of dissatisfaction of fitting of their hats. In addition to this, another problem is hat most hat designs have been flown in from the West without inspection of their fits. Designs to fit the Koran face and head have not been developed properly. This study is based on the need for the development of a well-fitting hat pattern design for Korean young women. After taking actual measurements of 170 young womens, a size system was organized for developing patterns for different size groups.

This paper presents the results of wave profile detection from video image using Mexican hat function. The Mexican hat function has been extensively used in the filed of signal processing to detect discontinuity in the images. The analysis was done on the numerical image and video images of waves which were taken in the circulating water channel. The results show that Mexican hat function is an excellent tool in the wave profile detection.

The objective of this study is to analyze the decay characteristics of the hat interpolation wavelet coefficients of some smooth functions defined in a two-dimensional space. The motivation of this research is to establish some fundamental mathematical foundations needed in justifying the adaptive multiresolution analysis of the hat-interpolation wavelet-Galerkin method. Though the hat-interpolation wavelet-Galerkin method has been successful in some classes of problems, no complete error analysis has been given yet. As an effort towards this direction, we give estimates on the decaying ratios of the wavelet coefficients at children interpolation points to the wavelet coefficient at the parent interpolation point. We also give an estimate for the difference between non-adaptively and adaptively interpolated representations.

Let Q be a finite quiver and $G{\subseteq}Aut(\mathbb{k}Q)$ a finite abelian group. Assume that $\hat{Q}$ and ${\Gamma}$ are the generalized Mckay quiver and the valued graph corresponding to (Q, G) respectively. In this paper we discuss the relationship between indecomposable $\hat{Q}$-representations and the root system of Kac-Moody algebra $g({\Gamma})$. Moreover, we may lift G to $\bar{G}{\subseteq}Aut(g(\hat{Q}))$ such that $g({\Gamma})$ embeds into the fixed point algebra $g(\hat{Q})^{\bar{G}}$ and $g(\hat{Q})^{\bar{G}}$ as a $g({\Gamma})$-module is integrable.

The purposes of this study were to analyze hat design with the focus on the period from the 1990's to 2004 and to find out the development direction of next hat design. To do these purposes, the focus of theoretical approach was literature research, and hat design was attempted on the basis of the research. The focus of theoretical background was on previous research and fashion-related literature. Fashion Photos were picked up from all kinds of fashion magazines containing Haute Couture collection in Paris from the 1990's to 2004 S/S and some designers' collections. Then 1,381 photos were selected through two screenings. At first time, 1,500 photos were selected to have the relationship between clothes and hats, and finally 1,381 photos were picked.
